It is sad to observe the endless and systematic degradation of this institution. The coaches and some administrators are great, but everything that is done in the gym is only due to their enthusiasm.
The simulators are old, the skin is occasionally updated. There are six treadmills in the gym, in fact, only one works. Two of them are generally a pile of junk. The bicycles had torn harnesses on the pedals for half a year. The dumbbells are dead, some of the rubber elements have fallen off, some even lack a weight designation. Customers bring dumbbells to the gym themselves (for example, 60 kg appeared in the gym only because a local blogger brought them here, although customers have been asking for them for more than a year). The simulators have not been updated since they were opened. The administration can't even buy cheap rubber bands. Broken mirrors don't change for half a year. The renovation is gloomy, the walls are dirty gray combined with dirty green. And at the same time dirty with fallen off plaster. But there are three pretty cool airbrushes on the walls. Normal cleaning is done every few months, and not everywhere, so in places there are cobwebs and thick layers of dust. The lockers in the locker rooms are collapsed, with peeling coating elements. Some of the doors are blocked in. Not all lockers have keys. The shower heads are leaking.
There has been no hot water supply for months, even apart from seasonal shutdowns (it seems you haven't heard about the boiler here). There is no drinking water here either, apparently the cooler is an element of luxury. You either need to bring your own, or buy locally. Stinky water often comes from the tap.
Men are treated like thieves here by default. To get into the locker, you need to take the key from the administrator!! (for some reason, there is no such distrust of women).
The hall was filled with children - schoolchildren and students. They are attracted here by discounts (the rest are not entitled to discounts, they are not so valuable for management). They stand in droves near the simulators and just talk. It is impossible to get through to the simulators at this moment, and the model range here is meager. A few children actually come to study.
There are no discounts, no bonuses. For this reason, old customers who have been carrying money to the gym for years, including since its opening, go to other establishments.
At the same time, the price difference compared to other halls is not significant. The average for the market. There are certainly more expensive, but there are also cheaper ones. Some of the services generally go past the ticket office, at best, a subscription and drinking water make their way. Well, accordingly, because of this, not everything can be paid for in a non-cash way. Personal training is only for cash.
Is it worth coming here? Is it worth suffering and being humiliated for your own money? Everyone decides for themselves.
A very good gym in Mogilev. For its price, even the best. The coaches are good, responsive, and will help with the technique without question. All the necessary simulators are available. The staff is excellent
During my vacation in Belarus, I lived in Mogilev for two days and in order not to lose my shape at all, I decided to go to the nearest gym. It is very reminiscent of the old old-school halls from the 90s, but this is definitely a compliment, not a claim. The hall is quite spacious and well equipped. Everything you need for a productive workout is there. People just come to study, not to take pictures and chat. And it's very cool! Everything seems to be there and nothing superfluous. I definitely recommend you to visit.
