This is not the first time we have visited. The central entrance to the fortress is through the star gate, which sets the tone and importance of this holy and heroic place. A metronome and already goosebumps. And when the sound of flying shells begins and Levitan announces the beginning of the war... Words cannot convey it! In my opinion, every Russian speaker is obliged to visit this heroic and historical place! My crawl-visit order is as follows. After the passage of the "Star", on the way we look at the tanks (on the left), we go to the defense museum, then the Cathedral, after we pass to the location of the former border outpost, then the monument "To the Heroes of the border, women and children ...", then along the wall to the Kholm Gate, to the main monument bayonet obelisk, we return a little to on the wall, we visit the war museum (next to the toilets), approach the Thirst monument and move towards the exit. I highly recommend you to visit!

Level 19 Local Expert

One of the best WWII monuments in the USSR. Unfortunately, I could not visit any of the museums inside the fortress (in time), but what I saw filled me with pride for the exploits of my ancestors. The excellent soundtrack reminds of heroes and enemies, grandfather's stories about war, time and life are more vividly remembered
