My name is Irina (Pantheon tour operator, department for work with individuals).
During my trip to Oman, I had the opportunity to visit Nizwa Fort. Nizwa was once the capital of Oman.
The fort is a 1.5-hour drive from Muscat. This fortress is a symbol of the city and a business card of Oman. It was built in the early 17th century, it took 12 years to build. The fortress served to protect the city from enemies. The main part of the fortress is the central round tower.
Today, there is a museum inside the fortress where you can learn more about the history of Oman. The fort is quite large, it will take about 2 hours for a leisurely study. There is a beautiful view of the city from the walls of the fortress.
Fort-fortress, museum - one of the main attractions of the city of Nizwa. There is a ticket office at the entrance, you are also greeted by music and dancing, in my case, fishermen performed. On other days, military dances with sabers.
I would like to go again yes, this one is from not many countries to which I want to come again. There are of course disadvantages. But there are many advantages
