I bought cold smoked mackerel. The seller said it was fresh. The fish was packed in a vacuum, unpacked at home and realized that it was rotten, the stench was all over the apartment. I wrote to the store's whatsapp, the hostess replied that it happens, a rotten one comes across in the batch. I asked for a refund, they said I need to bring fish, but it's not convenient for me to store rotten fish at home and go across town to the store to return it. If I lived nearby, I would definitely take it and give it to the seller to smell. The money was not returned, it looks like 1600 tenge is more expensive for the store than reputation. If you buy fish there, be prepared that you will come across exactly the part of the batch that is rotten.
I am attaching a photo of a rotten fish in a garbage bag, I did not think to take a picture before I threw it away.
They gave me a receipt like this, I asked for it when I felt that the seller was somehow not sure about the answer about freshness, but this is just my feeling, of course.
P.S.: After 2 months, the money was returned and apologized👍🏻
