The monument to Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky in the center of Minsk has not only not been demolished (like some), but is also in excellent condition. Even flowers are laid periodically. And that's right: this is our story, and let everyone keep their attitude to it to themselves!
Actually, this is a bust of a famous man, behind which there is a square with fountains, and with the Dynamo stadium at the end.
A good place to walk and feed pigeons!

Walking through Minsk, I came across a monument to Dzerzhinsky!
The monument to Dzerzhinsky in Minsk was erected in 1947. The authors of the monument are sculptor Z.Azgur and architect V.Volchek. The monument was erected on the 70th anniversary of the birth of this famous revolutionary and prominent statesman.
It is no coincidence that the Dzerzhinsky monument in Minsk was installed near the building of the State Security Committee. After all, this is the man who is considered the founder of the Soviet special services!
One can argue for a long time about the personality of Dzerzhinsky in history. Someone considers him a criminal (because a lot of innocent people died because of his fault), someone is almost a hero (proof of this can be the fact that recently another monument to Dzerzhinsky was erected on the territory of the Military Academy). Whoever he was, he managed to leave a mark on history: after all, Dzerzhinsky is still being talked about even almost a hundred years after his death.

Уникальный памятник. Во всех странах посносили памятники железному Феликсу, а здесь стоит. И, наверное, это правильно, ведь это уже история, уже почти 100 лет с тех времен прошло. Кстати, небольшой одноименный сквер вокруг очень ухожен, скамейки и фонтаны - всё в идеальном состоянии, здесь приятно погулять.
