Russian money in concrete and asphalt.
This is the only place in Sukhum in good condition for two reasons: the climate destroys very slowly and they did very well in the USSR.
The lanterns on the pillars along the parapet were apparently dismantled at home.
The buildings of the marine station are tears, apparently there was not enough Russian money.
Everything went into the pockets of local officials

The park is small. Eucalyptus trees are growing :) but they are growing all over the city of Sukhum. A walk through the park takes at most 10 minutes

Abkhazia is a separate topic. Everyone complains that there is no money for the restoration of cities, architectural monuments, and they themselves will not lift a finger. They are waiting for their uncle to come and do everything. They sit in parks all day and play backgammon, chess, etc. But the eucalyptus grove is kept in order, respect for that. Maybe because the administration is nearby?
