I did not rest in the sanatorium itself. But I studied the entire territory inside and around the sanatorium. The place is gorgeous for wellness. The beach is pebbly, even in a storm the water is clear. The aroma of eucalyptus and the sea is indescribable. In the heat, you can sit in the shade of eucalyptus trees. You can find silver eucalyptus. Thermal springs are located nearby in 10-15 minutes on foot.

Today is the last day in this wonderful place. It turned out that the weather did not please vacationers in Gagra, but in the Eucalyptus grove we were lucky if there was a storm at sea, then we have hot springs nearby where we spent time usefully. I would like to express my gratitude to the administration of the boarding house for their help and support in any matters. Thanks to the staff of the canteen for the delicious home-cooked food. There's nothing to write. Everything is running. Rooms are expensive. The staff is generally client-oriented, the main thing is "the director will scold us." There is a dog cage in the middle and be prepared that they (dogs) will bark all night. Some chickens graze all over the territory. There are no umbrellas on the beach of the sanatorium, don't even dream of sun beds - it's no different from a wild beach. About masking nets on the windows, with a huge number of insects - it's not worth talking about - all the living creatures will be with you if you open the window.
Three meals a day - pulp sausages in the morning - lunch and dinner, I won't even comment.
There are a lot of places, service, hospitality _- for a very modest money.

If you want an active holiday, with discos, etc., this is definitely not the place.
Most of the vacationers are pensioners. At 9 p.m., a quiet hour - no one is heard or seen. Silence. But what we were looking for was tranquility, free beaches, nature and excursions.
Keep in mind that it is quite far from the border.
Let's go in order: Nature is 5+. Eucalyptus trees, clear sea - amazing.
Because the beach on the territory of the sanatorium (quite large) is the place you will always find. Keep in mind that the beach is pebbly. I couldn't walk or go in and out of the sea without special aquataps. Painfully. Although they say that it is useful :)
Nutrition is like in a Soviet sanatorium. No frills, but everything is delicious. If you live a long time, you get bored (dishes are repeated very often). But there was always a choice of several porridges, soups, and main courses. The buffet. Fruits are just apples. First of all, but it is moving forward quite cheerfully. There is no particular problem with this. There was always a place at the tables. There is a nice cafe on the beach - you can drink coffee in the afternoon and wine with dinner in the evening. By the way, homemade wine is everywhere.
The room was in an old building on the second floor with a balcony. There is Wi-Fi. He even caught it on the beach. Everything is not very new, but it is working. Refrigerator, TV, air conditioning, wardrobe. The linen is normal, although there were no blankets initially. We went to the laundry and took it ourselves, because there were nights when it rained and it was cool. But it was possible to turn on the air conditioner for heating.
Staff: everything is fine, except for the girl at the reception. Either she is very exhausted, or she is not happy with the guests.
Somewhere we read before the trip that there is a sauna there (there is also a photo on the native site). We came to clarify - in response, they told us no and there was no and in general, what is the last name? I didn't understand at all how this affects the presence of a bathhouse. As we understood, there is a sauna next to the sanatorium, but they decided not to tell us about it. There was no desire to apply anymore.
Excursions: excursions can be booked near Stolva. But usually this should be done in advance. But we always made plans day in, day out and based on the weather, well-being and desire. Riding a big bus is not our option at all. Therefore, you can also arrange a minivan tour there - either individually (which is understandable, more expensive) or find fellow travelers yourself or they will try to find you. If the room turns out to be comfortable, you can already continue to negotiate with them to travel to other places :). If the guide suits you, it is better to take his phone and then negotiate on WhatsApp. It's more convenient this way.
You can also take a walk in the village itself. It's quite colorful, although sad in places. There are many abandoned houses. But they are also beautiful. There is a Soviet pioneer camp - also empty and dilapidated. Two hot healing springs - it is better to go to a more distant one, it is newer and there are fewer people there. The fortress of San Tommaso. Small, but very ancient (XIII century).
In general, we got what we wanted - we looked at a bunch of places (waterfalls, Sukhum, Lake Ritsa and a bunch more), bought up and got drunk, did not waste time cooking, inhaled healthy sea and eucalyptus air.

If you need a retirement vacation, then you are here. Young people and couples with children have NOTHING to do here!!!From the word at all. I'll start in order. The journey from the house from Moscow to the Eucalyptus Grove boarding house took 16 hours. The flight took 3 hours and 45 minutes, then we waited 1.5 hours for the transfer (the service is resting). Then we took 7.5 hours by bus from Adler. The bus takes all passengers from Gagry to Dall to Sukhum, but you are still 30 km away. We were transferred to a taxi and drove for another 40 minutes. Crossing the border is a separate story. Get ready to queue for at least 2 hours. A small building with no air conditioning, nothing to breathe, stuffy. Oh, the poor children are all yelling, the adults are also brawling with the border guards because well, the verification of documents is sooo slow. On average, 1 person is 5 minutes. If you walk with the children, then 10-15 minutes. Children are checked thoroughly, but I even give them a plus sign for this, they worry about the children so that they do not steal them. My youngest son (5 years old) was asked a lot of questions, for example:What's Dad's name? How old are you? Show your mom, point your finger at her. What is his name, etc. Everything is great, of course, but it's been going on for so long, and there are a lot of people. After we got to the boarding house, at that time the time was 21 hours. We went to the boarding house and asked where the administration was. We were escorted to our room, asked if we wanted to eat, and of course we wanted to get to this lost place so much. And she was constantly rushing you to go eat faster while I was talking. What?! Have you made an agreement?! It sounded like a favor. The administrator moved us into a house that was still being renovated at that time (there are no other places). The renovation took place on the second floor. It's awesome to come on vacation where they drill, they hammer like a dream. Of course, we don't usually sit in the room, but it often rained with the weather. The administration doesn't care about you at all. The administration is not interested in you coming there again, they have already received their money, and they don't care about you. But the peak of my patience was when boards and some unnecessary junk were thrown out from the second floor, knowing that vacationers live on the first floor, knowing that there is a child who can leave the room at any moment and catch a board on the head. Generally trash guys!!! There is nothing on the territory of the boarding house for both adults and children. There is a carousel of Soviet posturing, I called it hello traumatology. It's all rusty and creaking, but the worst thing is it's wobbly. We didn't dare take a ride on it. After dinner, life dies here, because there is nothing to do here except swim in the sea, there is nothing either inside or outside the boarding house. It is 30 km to the nearest city of Sukhum, where there is at least a small life, there is where the kids will have fun (trampolines, attractions are a little bit, but there is on the embankment). A one-way taxi to Sukhum will cost from 1000 rubles to 1500 rubles. Outside the boarding house there is a shop in which there is constantly nothing. And yes! On the 6th day of rest, a supermarket opened inside the hotel. Supermarket is certainly a big word, but the sign is still hanging. One of the advantages is the proximity of the sea. They don't lie, it's really 50 meters down a steep descent. The beach is terrible, no one cleans it, everywhere there are sticks that were thrown out of mountain rivers into the sea and washed ashore. The beach itself is a large pebble. If you are not a yogi and decide to go to this jo ... then buy caralks, it is not real to swim here without them. If you walk over the stones, then be sure to put your feet on a stick. The descent into the water is too steep for children. The depth starts after 1.5 meters. Of the entertainment for children on the beach, these are stones)) They're everywhere. There are no water activities.
I will say about the numbers of the norms, this is not the main indicator for us. Well, it's not a horror to live, but forget about cleaning the rooms, as you have settled in from this moment no one will come to you. Service fire live like pigs, forget about changing towels, do not change the linen either, take them to the laundry yourself, it costs 250 rubles for your money. It's funny, but you will also buy more toilet paper yourself if you come for a long time like us (they put 2 rolls). Maybe it will be useful for someone to find out from the girls there is no hair dryer in the room, this is a luxury for them, take it with you.
Oh, yes! About food: 3 meals a day do not lie, but there are nuances))) Breakfast from 9 to 10, lunch from 13 to 14, dinner from 18 to 19. We don't like going to the canteen opening, it's a dangerous quest. There I already wrote above about retirement holidays. Well, until grannies and women with fat butts get enough, it's better not to approach the buffet, IT's LIFE-THREATENING! People stop being human at the sight of food, the animal instinct to devour more wakes up. A terrible sight! Pushing, screaming horror in general. Well, so ... if you come to the dining room a little later than 9.20, 13.20 or 18.20, get ready to stay hungry, because the women and grandmothers have already eaten everything. But the administration does not care, they work on the principle of who is the last one hungry. You will finish eating the leftovers that the fat women did not have time to sort out. The food is like in kindergarten. The menu is monotonous chicken, pasta, cutlets, potatoes, salad, soup, compote, etc. You can eat, but everything gets boring quickly.
To sum up: if the representative of the tour operator promises you an unforgettable vacation in this place, then he is damn right. You will never forget this bottom!

We came to this place twice a year! Since 2018. The place is magical, quiet, by the sea!!! The extraordinary, whetting aroma of eucalyptus trees! Because they are the only ones around the boarding house! It mixes with the aromas of the sea, and so you can and should relax!
The place is super!
But there is a moment that now, when Abkhazia was a little suffocated by the influx of tourists in 2022, the cuisine did not show itself in the best way. They don't have time to cook for as many people as they have this year!

This is of course a small corner of paradise on earth. And the boarding house is old, the furniture is old, the door to the balcony does not close, the handles are broken. Separately, I want to write about the buffet food, it's something with something! One word is horror! Everything is greasy and salty. If you want gastritis, go there! Chicken and fish... fish is the cheapest and tasteless. And the fat drips off her. I wonder if they eat it themselves?? If they eat, do they really like it? I think not. The pigs will eat everything! There is no menu, there is no choice (everything is greasy and over-salted), meat was given only once in 10 days (lean). The rest of the days are the heart!!! In short, the meat type. I do not advise you to eat in this place! Rancid oil that makes your stomach hurt, heartburn and loose stools!!

We were a family in a new building on the shore.the building is a la new, but the numbers are simple. There is a small swimming pool, the view from the "suite" is incomparable. That's probably it. There is no territory. The hundred-year-old rusty and broken carousel is the only entertainment for children. The food was 3-fold ( good ) without frills and pastries.the sea is like the sea, no sun beds and the like, cafes under construction on the shore were not found. The owner of the establishment is passionate about something else, but not the development of the boarding house. In general, who is looking for what, we roughly understood where we were going, so we found advantages. Will we go back there (I think not) but we do not regret the trip.

The price is three, five times higher than the real one in Kyndyg, meals in Kyndyg in a cafe cost 500 rubles a day, the cheapest room in the boarding house is 4950, there are no cheaper rooms. The main administrator is rude in the open, the rooms are only the most expensive, but even if you contact her on any issue, you will be deceived in the end, probably because the director bought the main administrator a Lexus, as well as herself, and now she increases her self-esteem through rudeness.
Their toilets swing like a swing and are washed off with hot water, there is no cleaning in the rooms, you will
live in dirt if you do not find yourself a cleaner on a vast territory who will agree to clean you. But it's not a fact that you will find it. You will stand in the dining room every time for 20 minutes in a crowd in a queue, many people in this crowd are sick with the flu. And the food there is for the homeless, because in flophouses they do not change the menu like in canteens, but they give the same thing every day. Two types of soup, one type of meat, two types of salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced every two to three days, soups with the addition of cubes and vinegar. You will never see fruits and juices. The director himself never eats in his dining room, and housing prices in Kyndyga start from 1,500 rubles (in rooms with cleaning and with owners who are not rude and do not have lexuses). If you take a ticket there, you will simply give money to raise self-esteem to the dishonest director and his boorish chief administrator, driving around in Lexus.

We had a rest in July 2022, we got from the airport about 12 hours. What I liked - eucalyptus forest, wonderful sea, clean air. That's all. The room stock is old, there is no cleaning in principle, and yes - I have not had to ask for toilet paper from the administrator yet, and since we rested for 2 weeks, I had to apply more than once. There is a grocery store within walking distance where you can also buy souvenirs. There's nowhere else to go. The food is very satisfying, we did not have time to get hungry, BUT it was monotonous, and there were huge queues. The staff is friendly. The beach is very unsettled, several wooden sun beds are dismantled quickly, but you can rent a plastic one. We want to return to Abkhazia, but not to this boarding house.

Disgusting! This is the first time I'm writing a review, I don't want to restrain myself and share the facts so that others don't repeat our mistake of coming here to the Eucalyptus Grove.
1. We have a suite (according to the administration, probably). In fact, this is a two-room room with old furniture, mosquitoes smeared on the walls, a leaking faucet, a broken door.
2. There is no playground. There is such a rusty non-working rare carousel. It causes feelings of sadness, shame and hopelessness.
3. A beach with concrete slabs and sticking pins.
4. The main contingent is 90% pensioners, they are everywhere. With all the consequences.
5. Entertainment, cafes, discos, bars with cocktails - there is none of this.
6. The food is canteen and the interior is the same. The queue for breakfast, lunch and dinner is 20 people.
7. Let's move on to the main thing. Against the background of the above *** the only desire is to leave here as soon as possible and healthy. But no. The whole family is sick - diarrhea, work, fever. As it turned out during my stay here, 2 sewer pipes were removed directly into the sea near the beach. Walking by the sea, if you come, you will see them for yourself.
We talked with vacationers, every second one is sick! Children and adults are being taken to the hospital with rotavirus! I have never seen so many sick people by the sea anywhere.
People, don't come here! If you have already abandoned your stay here, refuse. It is better to lose money than time and health. I would have done so if I had been smarter and would have studied the reviews and facts about the boarding house.

The territory is covered with Eucalyptus trees, the cottages are located on the seashore. Nearby springs (mud and hydrogen sulfide pools) Of course, the village of "KYNDYG" itself is far from civilization, but who wants to relax away from the noise and dust only here.

We arrived in October 2022. I will immediately write about "from the good": 1. Eucalyptus trees. 2. A deserted beach. 3. The purest sea. 4. There are practically no people. 5. Sources in Kyndyg.
We got from the walking border by private transport in 5 t. 3 hours at flying speed. We arrived at 22h. With children.We asked them to leave dinner, but they refused. They sent us to a cafe on the shore, where they also refused us, citing the fact that there was nothing. As a result, we had dinner with tap water.
The rooms are dead, somehow cleaned, the bed linen is wet. There were no cups. One of the advantages is a working air conditioner, Wi-Fi almost without interruptions, cold and hot water always.
All questions about survival in the room need to be solved independently: go for toilet paper, take out the trash, etc. There is no cleaning. A rat gnawed through the passage in the bathroom from the next room -they sealed it with stones and pebbles on their own.
On the territory of the poor. Cows, goats, turkeys, and chickens walk around. The staff is from Uzbekistan, the Abkhazians themselves do not want to work, they are, as usual, lazy. There was still some movement on the territory: roads were being swept, branches were being sawed.
The beach area was in a relatively normal condition due to the off-season: there was no garbage, wooden sun beds from Soviet times were scattered everywhere.
Food. There are simply no shops or cafes in the area. If you eat what they give you, take this into account. And they give simple food from cheap products. You won't be hungry, but don't wait for fruits-milk-vegetables. Shanks, pasta, buckwheat, eggs or omelet, sour cream product, cottage cheese product, one type of feijoa jam, pickled cabbage, porridges, soups, etc. The canteen workers are kind, calm. The seats were shrinking every day. As well as the meal time-up to 40 minutes. So run, hurry up....The food gets boring on the third day. But! You are hostages of the situation, keep that in mind. The nearest place to eat is Sukhum. 1000 rubles for a one-way taxi.
There is indeed a pharmacy on the territory, some basic medicines can be bought there. There is a small shop with soda, cookies and sneakers.
It gets dark at 18 o'clock. That's it. Stay in the room until morning. There's nowhere to go.
There is an abandoned village around with bombed-out houses and a cattle walking by itself:horses, pigs, cows.
Kyndyga springs are a 20-minute walk away. We easily walked there with the children every day.
No more entertainment. Absolutely.
The contingent of guests is exclusively pensioners.

Taxis go from the boarding house, but we walked around looking at the surroundings, we were accompanied by goats, cows, piglets, in short, a rustic atmosphere, not for majors. With private traders, you can travel to the sights for a moderate amount. And so the tour is at least 1300 per person. I was not impressed with one trip, everything is aimed at pumping out money, it's easier with private traders. A 40-minute drive and you are in a cave, there are 2 entrances of 250 each. The food is so meager that the name of the buffet sounds very loud. Boiled eggs and fried sausages for breakfast .Amlet, greed is off the scale so much that when asked to put at least compote for children, it was said that compote is only for lunch....the food is the same and heats up for how many days...The owner is a rare boor...if you contact him with some kind of problem, he will yell at you and insult you, as was the case in our case, and this is for 12,500 per day

I don't want to talk about the old ones, I haven't seen them, but seeing the boarding house itself, I'll say that you probably won't even be able to enter them...because of the squeamishness and old age of everything. The territory is unkempt, there are rusty old rides for children... scary. Well, the peak of everything is food! Like for pigs, if not worse. There is a queue, 5 troughs... pasta, potatoes, cutlets, chicken, and carrots....that's all. Tea in buckets and everything in front of you. Rude women in the dining room.... In general, this is a sadness. It is fashionable, of course, to think that that part of Abkhazia does not know what is better and thinks that it is cool, but.... Do not go there if you have seen abroad or sanatoriums in Moscow or ...Of course, everyone wrote off going outside and ate kebabs in a cafe every evening, and beer (there is a very tasty draft for 100 rubles), but this is not it. Not every day. There is also a paid cafe on site, but there is always coal and only pizzas and salads. But cheap. And the prices, I'll tell you, are at the level of a good hotel in Abkhazia. We survived for 3 days and only because my son met friends on the first day and they played all day long on the street. That's a plus here. Fence and all that. Safely. And of course I can't help but say good things about the owner. I saw an elderly woman become ill in our building at night. And the daughter started running and ...in a panic. If you want to spoil your vacation, then go there. We went there to enjoy the sea and eucalyptus trees, everything is fine on these two points. But the rest began with check-in, the administrator Diana khamka was first-rate, she tried to put us in a room of a category lower than paid for and written in the voucher. We had a junior suite in a new building on the 2nd floor. Upon entering the room, the persistent smell of sewage hit my nose, in the bathroom they cover the drain with a rubber mat so that it doesn't stink, but it doesn't help. The window overlooks the grove, it is dark and damp, the laundry does not dry. The next blow was the dining room without air conditioning, lunch from 13 to 14, the queue is outside in the heat. Dirty tables, broken dishes and a shortage of them, it is necessary to beg for plates from the cleaner. The food is monotonous, 1 type of soup, 2 types of second, 2 types of vegetables, bad tea and coffee (not coffee) and THAT's IT!!! The pharmacy and the store are closed. Then we went to the beach, there are several broken wooden sun beds, new ones for money. The beach is dirty, everything that was carried out by the storm is not cleaned, sea fleas are on the beach, they bite. There is tin in the pool, the tiles fall off, the lamps fall off and hang on the wires. The walls and floors are not washable, brrr. In the next room there is a treadmill and a tennis table, everything is dirty and covered in cobwebs. By the way, there is a rusty carousel for children from entertainment, not working. After 3 days of stay, they realized that the room was not cleaned, they told the administrator, they cleaned it for the 5th day, but it was only garbage removal!!! The cleaners walk around smiling, but they don't do anything. We went to friends in the old building, it's a nightmare, mold is everywhere, the carpet is falling apart from old age, the windows are without screens, they don't close well, the door too, the mattress is lying, the furniture is all broken.
For this cost, the boarding house did not justify itself, there are many different housing in Abkhazia for the same money, but with good food and service, not a foot there anymore. Besides, a very expensive taxi, the local population is getting impudent.

We had a vacation with my husband in July 2021. The nature is super, the sea is clean, the beach is long next to each of the buildings, the food is normal, the territory is spacious, the rooms are not new - this is still the former holiday home of the Council of Ministers of the Georgian SSR - but renovated. There are new buildings. Among the disadvantages is the lack of entertainment in addition to those caused by nature, there is no market with vegetables and fruits, a beach without lifeguards and corn, in short, a village, but you can relax if the room is air-conditioned. We liked it, but we don't want to go there anymore, because it's still a long way to get there without a personal car.

Equaliptovaya grove boarding house in Abkhazia. A very bad impression. During the 12 days of stay, the maid was seen 1 time. The room has never been cleaned. The bed linen was not changed. We went to the laundry ourselves, asked to change the linen and towels. There are no sun loungers on the beach, they are only available for a fee. The menu in the dining room is meager, but it is delicious. The only plus was the clean, warm sea and few people.

My husband and I vacationed at this boarding house from July 2 to July 10, 2021. The two-room suite is spacious, there is also a kitchen with a kettle and a refrigerator, air conditioning and a nice balcony. It can be seen that repairs have been made, everything is clean. Plumbing requires minor repairs, some furniture should be replaced. If you bring everything to mind, debug, fix, replace something, then there will be wonderful rooms. They came to clean up for us.The territory is large, the eucalyptus trees are magnificent! We enjoyed the eucalyptus air.The food was delicious. The sea is clean, the beach is half-empty, there are wooden sun beds, we always found free ones. There was not enough changing room and a small shower with fresh water. We rested actively-we went to the spring, to the fortress, took excursions and went with the drivers ourselves, which we liked more. I didn't want to leave. For fans of a quiet, non-party vacation, this is what you need!

Back to the USSR, the motto of this holiday home, you can only live downstairs in a new building, there are no conditions in the old buildings. The food is delicious, but not varied, you will not stay hungry, but do not expect any special pickles. There is nothing on the beach except wooden sun beds, the beach is not cleaned, there is no bar. The shop on the territory stinks very strongly of dampness and smoking, chips and seeds are damp. Wi-Fi is only available in the lower building and on the beach, there is no Wi-Fi in the upper buildings. The air smells great of eucalyptus trees.

We were here a few years ago. The door broke in our room, and we were overpowered into a suite for 5 thousand (they also wanted to make us pay extra for it). The suite was no different except for the presence of an air conditioner. There was mold in both rooms, the linen was washed. The food is of poor quality, the staff is very rude. It's a shame to provide such a service for this money.
