Since 2010, we have been vacationing on Bangtao Beach, where Dusit is located. The main advantage of the hotel is its own beach with a fairly long coastline. A large park area solves the issue of shade for those who do not want to get burned. What else about the hotel. We stayed in the villa for a couple of weeks, everything is wonderful, constant cleaning, water, fruits. Good breakfasts for those staying in the villa are separate, always free, minimum number of people. Nice territory, a swimming pool with a smooth entrance, ideal for children. The children's room is very clean, the toys are new. We were satisfied.

The hotel is not bad. On the first line. A good breakfast. Gorgeous Russian guy Ilya. He helps with everything with pleasure. The same cannot be said about the second Russian-speaking lady.
He answers sharply and with mockery. It's unclear why.
What was bad:
The massage tables on the premises are always "occupied", although there is rarely even one person lying there. But, "everything is booked." For a massage, you need to walk along the beach 300 meters to the left. They will always help there. You can't get a cleaner in the room. I called 4 times once. But no one came. We sat without towels or water. Then I had to go and catch it myself.
When checking out at night, I made a check-out in advance from the evening. I paid for everything. A taxi was called. We arrived on time and sat down. But the taxi was not allowed to leave the territory for 10 minutes. "We need to check the minibar." Guys, what kind of minibar? If I have drunk something (no), you can deduct it from my card. You have it. Upon arrival, they took about $ 800 deposit. Well, if not: you have a 10-fold markup on coke and beer! What kind of small talk is this? People need to go to the airport. If that's the principle, at least we'd move faster.
There's a strange story with sun beds. So far we've figured it out, we've lost a couple of days. Beachboys occupy ALL the sun beds with towels. And then they distribute them among the guests themselves.
(For the tip). You come to the beach for the first time: everything is busy. You start thrashing around. It's ugly and uncomfortable. But when they recognize you, they're already occupying a sunbed for you. Many sun beds are occupied by people from outside. Not from the hotel. Which is also inconvenient. There are a lot of people.
The rooms are damp. There is no fan in the bathroom.
But it smells from the drain. I had to cover it with a towel. Mosquitoes. On the ground floor, be careful on the terrace: there are frogs there at night.
We had a bad meal at the Thai restaurant on the premises. We had stomach trouble all night. Although we ate different dishes. Is there something wrong with the cooking oil?
Well, despite the membership and the GOLD card, she did not see the promised 10 percent discount in the final bill, but the minibar was checked for 10 minutes.

A stunning hotel, a small but very green area, a good swimming pool, the first coastline, there are rooms in the main buildings of the hotel, there are villas.
Angsana spa is located on the territory of the hotel, a good spa with a "hotel price tag", I really liked the massage, but from experience I can say that Asian networks are much better in terms of interiors, details and organization of space. Overall, the spa is decent, worth a visit.
Very convenient access to the sea, quite gentle, depending on the time of the tides.
Bangtao is a green area with a predominance of coniferous trees along the coastline and palm trees in the rest. As a result, a super cocktail of sea air saturated with coniferous oils for the lungs
To my taste, this is the best area in Phuket for recreation in terms of "well-groomed", cleanliness, and developed infrastructure.
The staff at the hotel is friendly. The hotel is not new, like 97% of all other hotels in Phuket, but you absolutely do not pay attention to it.
We had a rest during the celebration of the Thai New Year, the hotel was "drowned" in orchids, the entrance groups were beautifully decorated.
The breakfasts are normal, everything is fresh, the coffee is decent.
There is a kids' club for children, and a small gym for adults.

A good hotel, though somewhat tired of the time. Everything is in the room, I would like to note separately the quality of slippers, pillows and mattress.
The restaurants have a children's menu at very loyal prices, and the quality of soups and food from the children's menu was very pleasing.
It was pleasant to check in earlier after a night flight. In Thailand, they usually do not check in before 14-15h, but we were given a room at 10 a.m. without any additional payments and requests.
But I can't help but say about what upset me - the quality of the beach towels. For a 5-star hotel, dead towels like rags with already fringed edges from old age simply spoil the whole impression. Moreover, some of the towels are decent, but 2/3 of what the employee gives out is in a completely indecent condition.
And be ready to leave a deposit of 2 thousand Baht, multiplied by the number of days of stay, upon arrival. This has now become a Thai tradition of all hotels. The deposit is refunded in the same currency in which it was left, but on the day of departure when the account is closed and the room is handed over.

I stayed at this hotel on July 12-26, 2024. I really liked the hotel, the whole area is surrounded by greenery. Friendly staff, communicated at the reception through an interpreter. The room was excellent, one wing was renovated, the second began to be repaired, everything you need in the room is there, flip-flops and slippers, bathrobes, toothbrush, cosmetics, everything is of good quality, water in the glass. All consumables are replenished regularly. Also tea, sugar, coffee, cream, kettle. The territory is clean, well-groomed, near a small shopping area with cafes, shops and on weekends a fair comes to it. There were plenty of sun beds by the sea and the pool. There is an inexpensive massage on the beach of 400 baht per hour. Meals are breakfasts where there are scrambled eggs, cheeses, including brie and with blue mold, sausages, rice, vegetables, sausages, chicken / beef, fruits, juices in general, you will not stay hungry. It's the rainy season at this time, but we were lucky with the weather on the first day and it rained another day, but unfortunately there was a storm in the sea for all 14 days.

Bang Tao Beach is very clean, sparsely populated, and beautiful. The Lagoon area is rich, which means it is well—groomed, suitable for walking, infrastructure near the hotel (currency exchange, pharmacy, shops), without markets / grandmothers.
The hotel itself is too calm, the children got bored after a week—there is little entertainment for them, the pool is one, big enough. The territory is well maintained, green, quiet.
We lived in a villa overlooking the lake. The villa itself was very pleased with the area, the rooftop pool, terraces in each room, good linen. High-quality cleaning, sufficient water, fruits in the room.
The food, in my opinion, is monotonous, we tried all the dishes in 10 days, we didn't like the Italian restaurant. The service is sooo long.
Thai massage on the beach in the shade—I really liked it. There are cafes by the pool and on the beach.
Who is used to Emirati and Turkish hotels, it will be hard here))

A great hotel on the shores of the Andaman Sea. The beach is clean, sun beds are in abundance, service is at a decent level, cleaning and changing towels every day at any convenient time, the staff is very friendly, club class rooms are spacious, the territory is well maintained, the grass is green, the sun shines, etc. By the way, the sun is very harsh, my husband was burned on the beach in half an hour, I recommend applying spf 50 to light ones immediately. The beach is gorgeous. Fine sand without stones. The entrance is good. Pine trees, sun beds can be placed in the shade of pine trees. The bay is very large.
Minus, but it's not a hotel-it's jellyfish. The guide said that the mating season started early, so at the end of February, jellyfish appeared.
Upon arrival, fruits and sweets are in the room. It was my wife's birthday, they brought a cake, it turned out to be very tasty.
The breakfasts are ordinary, you will not stay hungry. If you like Thai food, there is a special table. The coffee is delicious.
Among the disadvantages of the hotel: the hotel is not close to civilization, 25 minutes walk to the center or a taxi, although there are a couple of restaurants nearby. In principle, the hotel has 4 restaurants, you can have lunch and dinner there.
The hotel is old, we took a room after renovation. In principle, everything worked.
The room was cleaned regularly, the water was replenished. In the evenings, both the room and the street smelled of sewage. Yellow water came out of the tap a couple of times.
The pool is small, it's the best for children. There are stalls on the beach where you can buy fresh fruits.
On weekends, a fair with local street food is organized near the hotel on the square. I advise you to visit.

I liked everything, very clean, polite, delicious. Very conveniently located, a separate lagoon, almost the entire territory due to greenery - in the shade, in the heat - is very important. There are several good cafes and a supermarket nearby.
The only thing is if you have lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurants, it is quite expensive, but very tasty and a lot (large portions). So if you don't want to go anywhere in the heat, then you can have lunch at the hotel, well, maybe not every day)

Everything is wonderful, delicious food, wonderful organization, wonderful staff. I won't list everything, but there were no complaints on any issue. On this trip, I really wanted to repeat those unforgettable impressions, so we didn't even consider another hotel. After 10 years, there were worries that fatigue would suddenly disappoint, but no, not once! And even though the reconstruction of one of the sections of the rooms began on our arrival. The beach is also immaculately good, the territory is green and well maintained, the restaurant on the beach has been attached to the hotel during this time, which was very pleasing. Upon arrival, we were given bonuses for each room, which we spent on hotel services. Very nice! The staff is also attentive and polite. Breakfast, I think, is luxurious: both cuts, and a large selection of hot dishes, and porridge, and cottage cheese, and soup (you choose the ingredients yourself), fruits / vegetables / herbs, and pastries. The rooms were cleaned every day. Towels, bathrobes, slippers and bed linen are impeccable. The welcome plate with fruits, as well as the last visit, pleased me. Everything worked in the room. The view this time was of the lagoon. Over the years, the territory of the Grand Lagoon has changed, it has been built up with apartments, but again this did not disappoint at all. This time we walked to the city market, as the road to it is now habitable, and it takes only 15 minutes to walk. Although it's no problem to get there by tuk-tuk or taxi. In 10 days, we got to the fairs a couple of times: the city on Fridays from 16.00 and at our hotel on the territory of the shopping center. In a word, Dusit Thani is our love love❤️

This is rarely seen, usually they only try to sell excursions, but then at first we quickly solved our question with the settlement, asked what other problems there were and what interests us about the infrastructure, and after substantial and practical advice, I moved on to excursions. I've always been in touch! I liked the area very much, you can walk to the center, 20-30 minutes on foot, or by taxi for 100 baht. An amazing two-day jungle tour, with an overnight stay in the middle of a lake in the jungle! You will not regret taking an Anex tour. Everything was organized 100% fire! Our guide's name was Joni, an iterative, active guy, originally from Volgograd, but who has been traveling the World for a long time. He talked very interestingly about the lives of ordinary people. The company was small, there were three of us + 5 adults and 2 teenagers + two guides and a driver), we drove a comfortable Mercedes minivan, spent the night in the middle of the jungle, in an unexpectedly comfortable house! We just returned from vacation. We spent ten wonderful days at this hotel. We were in Dusit Lagoon for the first time eighteen years ago! We enjoyed our vacation here so much that we come back more than once. I can say with full confidence that the hotel team is doing an excellent job. The quality of services is at a high level. The kitchen is great. The location of the hotel, in our opinion, is excellent! We relax in many parts of the world, on different islands and continents, but we definitely return to Dusit Lagoon if we want to relax in complete comfort. The rooms have everything you need. Good quality toiletries. The bed linen and towels are fresh and snow-white. There are always free sun beds under the pines and palm trees. Fresh fruits are on sale right on the beach. There are enough options for dinners and lunches in restaurants. We really like the Italian restaurant. But the others are also very tasty! We rested from 5.11 to 17.11. The territory of the hotel itself is beautiful (birds sing constantly, fish swim in the lobby, squirrels jump on trees in the backyard, small lizards run in the evening). We had a room with a sea view, on the third floor. In a good way, the room needs cosmetic repairs (everything is kind of battered). Room cleaning for three. The breakfasts are quite mediocre, only the presence of exotic fruits and good cheese saves, otherwise it's primitive. Someone wrote in a review that there was almost always freshly salted fish - during our two weeks of arrival, I never saw fish. Upon check-in, as a complement, they brought fruits and handmade sweets (I put 10 out of 5 for sweets. They are divine).The beach is big, clean. There are really enough sunbeds at whatever time you come - it deserves 5+. There are 4 restaurants on site. We liked Italian the most, but unfortunately the day before our departure it was closed apparently for repairs.

Room cleaning is 2 rubles a day, the only thing is damp in the room, clothes are always wet. They took only breakfast, and did not regret it, since the food is monotonous. We had dinner in cafes nearby the hotel. The beach is relatively clean, there are no cigarette butts and garbage, but everything is covered with needles from trees, as many sun beds are located just under them. We were in early June, the weather was comfortable, it was not hot, but there was no calm sea for the entire period. There are few people in the hotel during this period, and this is a special thrill, there is no fuss and complete peace!
