The village that Kusturica built on a high hill with postcard views. Many cabins operate as a hotel and you can stay overnight. There are souvenir tents and cafes with a generous and delicious assortment, as everywhere else in Serbia.
A great place for a diverse holiday: you can just relax by swimming in the pool, or you can actively spend time playing tennis or walking in the surrounding hills. If you're lucky, you can get an autograph from the Emir of Kusturica
This is the place where you can relax both body and soul!silence, starry sky at night, beautiful sunrises, sunsets.Swimming pool, saunas, hammam, restaurant with delicious food! It's been a month, and I'm still impressed by the fairy tale!
Drvengrad, aka the village of Kusturica, whose history begins with the filming of the film "Life as a Miracle", was then transformed into an eco-hotel Mechavnik, which has a swimming pool, gym and even a cinema. To come here just to see – probably not particularly interesting. But all the houses in this village are not fake! They are all equipped for living, and quite comfortable. Although the houses are wooden, and everything inside is made of wood (except for the TV and refrigerator), but you go into the bathroom and you get into another world. The bathrooms there are at the level of a four-star hotel.
We stayed here for a day. We checked in after visiting the Shargan eight – took a ride on the first train that departs from Wet Mountain at 10:30, and after that immediately to the hotel. And it just went. The whole village is located on a slope, offering stunning views of the valley of the Kamishna River and the Shargan mountain pass, along which the narrow-gauge railway winds its way through 30 tunnels. So go out with a cup of coffee on the veranda, relax in an armchair and admire the scenery. Some kind of special peace and tranquility. You can sit like this for hours. In the evening we went to the cinema – they showed "Life as a miracle". The film was in Serbian, but I had seen it before and watched it again with great pleasure. After all, we just drove on a narrow-gauge railway to the places where the film was shot, we live in the place where it was also filmed. Landscapes from the screen – they are so recognizable... Almost like family! That was just the cherry on the bargain! Probably, there is only this movie every day and they play it. :)
I can't help but tell you about booking rooms. Somehow, they don't care about marketing. I couldn't find this hotel on booking aggregator sites. I wrote an email to the hotel – they didn't answer me. I tried to send a request from the English version of the hotel's website – it is not sent, it returns an error. Well, I thought of switching to the Serbian version of the site – I sent an application from it and they answered me. Moreover, very briefly, without confirmation of dates and room categories. And without prepayment. I even worried a little whether everything was understood correctly and whether there would be free rooms. But when I arrived, I was very surprised. The hotel felt about 20 percent full, even though it was Friday. As a result, a separate house for two with half board (breakfast, dinner) cost 51 euros.
Nothing special. Ordinary houses, of which there are quite a few around. All of them are closed. There is a drink cafe and a restaurant where you can eat. Probably only for Chinese tourists it is interesting there, judging by how much fun they have there.
If you are an average tourist, go here. Careful, the entrance is 300 dinars. Although they write that the houses are not fake, but it seems that everything is new. The atmosphere of the tourist center. The atmosphere of the village is definitely not here.
+ a large complex of an ethno-hotel (village). A variety of rooms and cabins. The rooms are in an ethnic style, but with modern bathrooms. The best SPA area, the presence of a playground and museums. There are tennis courts, basketball and football halls, and a cinema. Large parking lot. Proximity to shargansi osmica.
- one small playground, very small old TV in the room, boorish reception staff.
An interesting village. Thanks to Emir Kusturica for this village. There are good restaurants on site.

For future directors, visiting the village of the Emir of Kusturica himself is a duty and an honor.
In general, it is interesting, but you need a guide

Balkan Hollywood is an amazing place. I recommend combining a visit to this place with a trip on a retro train along the Shagran eight. Personally, I did so by staying at a hotel in the nearby resort town of Zlatibor for a couple of nights.
The friendly staff, the host himself receives guests. Wonderful, plentiful and delicious breakfasts. A swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a gym and, most importantly, a beautiful mountain landscape! Thank you very much!
It's a long way from hiking trails. You can't come here without a car. But it is the best place to stay in this part of the country. The complex is very interesting. Excellent restaurant, swimming pool, saunas.
There is an Octopus nearby. Not everyone will be able to walk to it and back on foot :). Large height difference
I was here too!))
A cool authentic place. Like in the village, plus the pleasure of fine cuisine and wine. The places are great for relaxing. I advise everyone
The place is very atmospheric, romantic and cozy in its own way. I didn't like the fact that we couldn't find the entrance to the pool, the entrance was behind the door with the inscription toilet, maybe it's just a joke.
