For lovers of ancient architecture, the place is a must-visit. It is better to go out of season. You can quickly get from Antalya by rented car. The restorers did not apply their hands, everything is practically as they found it.
Despite the difficult and long journey for a traveler who decides to get there on his own, it's worth it! From the bus station, take a minibus towards Korkuteli, ask to stop at the turn to Termessos, and then 7 km along the road, slowly but surely climbing the mountain (do not even think about taking a shortcut along the path, otherwise you will have to make your way through dense thorny thickets like us). The amphitheater, the necropolis, as if in a city of monkeys from Mowgli, all the ruins are densely overgrown with ivy. I advise you to go back down before sunset, catching a minibus on a dark highway is still a pleasure...
A beautiful place, the amphitheater is well preserved, the ruins are quite badly destroyed and scattered in the overgrown forest. The water tanks are well preserved. The view from the amphitheater is amazing, the ancients were able to choose beautiful places.
