The ancient city of the 1st century BC. where excursions are not taken. Excavations are underway on the territory. There are many well-preserved fragments of buildings, a stone staircase from the gate to the top has been preserved, there are remains of mosaics. Great views, beautiful nature. Large lizards and turtles can be found among the ruins. Someone wrote that there are snakes, but they haven't seen one in 3 hours. A very colorful, beautiful and unforgettable place. You can see everything and climb everywhere. There are many buildings in the forest that cannot be approached. The city stands on a mountain at an altitude of 400 meters from the sea. You can take a taxi to the very entrance along a steep narrow serpentine. We went down to our Utopia World hotel from the other side of the mountain, also along a serpentine path through the forest and banana plantations. The road is very beautiful, but walking up there is stressful. The descent took 40 minutes.

The views are wonderful, the aura of the place came to me, as if in the scenery from the past and without museum splendor and there are no tourists, like in Ephesus. We were at dawn from 6 to 8 in July and the heat didn't bother us yet, but the awesome views should be at sunset. There is a place for shade, a zen fishing picnic is great here)

Restoration work is underway, but visitors are allowed to enter (free of charge, October 2024).
The buildings are well preserved, there is something to see. The sea views are gorgeous. Since Siedra is located on a mountain.
We drove by car, the asphalt road is narrow and in places serpentine. There is a small parking lot and a toilet.
If you love antiquities, it's worth a visit.

Close to Mahmutlar, easy to reach by car. Beautiful views of Alanya, there are practically no tourists, since the organization of tours here is not on stream. They look like ordinary, unremarkable ruins, of which there are hundreds even in Turkey itself. The most unusual artifact can be called the "street of columns": the quality of processing of massive stone blocks is impressive, if we take into account the time when it was created. An ideal place for independent travel by car.

It is definitely worth visiting at least for the sake of the views from above, there are practically no people, it is quiet, beautiful, calm and very hot during the day in the season. Whether you are a researcher at heart, or completely indifferent to history, or even the opposite, it seems to me that the city of Siedra will attract the attention of any tourist. The ruins of the ancient city are located on a hill above the sea coast, near the village of Seki, approximately in the middle between the cities of Alanya and Gazipasa. The city boasts an impressive heritage that dates back thousands of years. The first mention in written sources dates back to the middle of the first century BC. The zenith of Siedra's fame occurred in the 2nd and 3rd centuries, when the city flourished with a population of more than 4,000 inhabitants. Archaeological excavations were started here in 1994 and are still ongoing. The main street in the upper part of the city, various buildings, including a temple, a theater, shopping malls, baths, city walls and cisterns were discovered. Research conducted by archaeologists in 2011 revealed relics dating back to the Bronze Age, almost 5,000 years ago, which provides a rare glimpse into the ancient maritime history of Siedra. Of course, no photos will convey the grandeur, splendor and power of urban development. We never arrive in the morning, there are a lot of tourists, noise, fuss. Evening, sunset is what you need! I photographed a lot with the desire to convey my feelings at least a little.

A beautiful ancient city located on the hills in the Antalya area, there are excursions or you can drive yourself by bus or cars. Entrance to the territory is free, parking is also free, the fortresses are located on the hills and there are stairs to all of them. There are banana plantations around.

Excavations seem to be still underway, there is already a booth at the entrance, but the entrance is still free. There are some excursions, but we didn't find them right away. The ruins are quite interesting, if you like ruins, there are practically no people. You can get from Antalya by bus, but it will take quite a long time to climb the mountain (3 kilometers along the serpentine, it seems). We took a taxi directly to Antalya and drove there. At Siedra's, the driver kindly offered to wait for us. We walked through the ruins of the city for about an hour. The entire trip cost about 1,600 lire on the meter. The only problem is that summer is not the best time to visit Siedra - it is very hot.

Старый город - исторический город! В активной фазе раскопок. По размерам конечно - малыш. Расположен в какой части в горе. Фоток много. Но лучше сделать свои и на месте. Приятное время провождения. Людей почти нет. Да и вход бесплатный!! Рекомендую...

Всем рекомендую посетить данное место. Тут еще работают археологи, но большая часть уже откопана и находится в аутентичном состоянии.
Лестницы уже частично сделаны. Обязательно заберитесь на самый верх, вид просто нереальный на все окрестность.

Очень понравилось! Лазить можно практически везде. Главное на черепаху не наступить) Везде море остатков керамики от черепицы, сосудов и т.п., с ребенком можно заняться археологией😁 В свободном доступе все архитектурные составляющие античных времен: колонны, капители, базы, основания, карнизы и т.д., местами даже с надписями. Очень советую!

Змей не видели, только черепах)
Мы с друзьями шли со стороны Utopia World мимо строящихся коттеджей, там было много собак, которые нас сначала напугали. Задобрили их сосисками и в итоге, мы 5 часов гуляли по античному городу под охраной 3-х дружелюбных собак. Виды открываются отличные, особенно на закате

Ходил пешком от Утопии. Примерно час, но крутой поедем, вышел в 6 утра, через деревню Секи, там есть указатели. Виды конечно открываются умопомрачительные.

Добираться пешком и на велосипеде будет тяжело. Доезжали на 2В из Махмутлара до конечной и шли пешком, дорого заняла около 2.5 часов. По дороге видели змей, лучше быть на чеку. В самой Сиедре и по пути много черепах.
Если на машине, то есть очень удобный заезд к началу маршрута.
На входе есть оборудованный туалет. Не чисто, но все равно очень хорошо.
Еды, воды нет, нужно брать с собой.
С маленькими детками и коляской делать тут нечего. Есть очень опасные подъемы и спуски.
Всем остальным рекомендую, очень интересно прикоснуться к истории. И открывается потрясающий вид на город и море. На прогулку по самой Сиедре ушло 1.5-2часа.

Сиедра — античный город на границе двух исторических областей — Киликии и Памфилии, на южном побережье Малой Азии. Древний город находится на одном из склонов Таврских гор, примерно посередине между Аланией и Газипаша, на территории современной Турции. Всем советую
