A must-visit! It is very beautiful and majestic . Myrrh city was named just the same in honor of the resin from which special aromatic oils were made in these places. It is difficult to say what they are made of now.
By the way, such a beautiful amphitheater has been preserved in the former city of Mira. A whole kind of colosseum. I don't know about the photo, but in real life it's just huge. In the lower right corner, you can see sheets of iron, under which some catacombs are hidden, in which Italian archaeologists are currently excavating. By the way, there are quite a lot of Italian tourists there too. All these potholes and rooms on the hills are by no means former dwellings, they are tombs in which revered inhabitants of the World were buried. The higher the tomb, the more revered the person was. Why are they all partially broken and the walls in them are broken? Lycians were buried with gold coins, so when the Italians first invaded here, then the Arabs, they methodically looted all the tombs in a row. Until now, the exact technique of how they were made is not known, but they could not be opened, only hacked.
