A wonderful ancient city, like everything else in the area. Beautiful buildings, quite well preserved. Interestingly, according to one version, the Cilician city of Laertes is considered the birthplace of Diogenes, which makes it especially interesting to visit!
Everything is abandoned and overgrown with thorns. There are no people. A great place to walk in silence.
There are many ruins. You can see that sometimes someone digs something.
You can only get there by car. The roads are beautiful, in places there are primers.
P.S. When we left, we saw the family on foot. The car was left on the nearest asphalt road. They looked tired )
Laertes is the ruins of the ancient city of Turkey, located at the foot of the high mountain Jebel i Reis. Its history began in the XII century BC and combines ancient times, Byzantine and Roman cultures.
