I was in September, the yoga place is great, the beautiful landscape, the beach is pebbly, the pebbles are very beautiful. If it doesn't rain, the sea is beautiful, dolphins come. The house itself and the rooms are better on the 2nd floor. There is a covered terrace for classes with great views, close to the border. And the food at the hotel is an excellent healthy lifestyle. Delicious and pleasant. There was 1 night in the room on the ground floor, I didn't like the room, it's obviously old, it needs renovation.
I was on a Yoga tour here in December. I really enjoyed the trip! Excellent location on the beach, the Windows of the rooms overlook the sea where every evening we watched the most beautiful sunset. Yoga every day - morning and evening , afternoon lectures . Vegetarian food is for the first time for me, they cook very tasty, I didn't even notice that something was missing. The weather was good , the sun , the sea , and the persimmon even swam. There was an excursion trip included in the price of the Tour to Lake Ritsa, the program was perfectly organized. A cool company of like - minded people gathered , rebooted to the fullest ♥️ Abkhazia to the very heart !
I'm going again this year!
Review of the House of the Sun in Abkhazia
1. Location: the "hotel" is located near the border with Russia, in a remote village, one of the advantages is the first line, it stands almost on the beach.
2. The "hotel" itself is a tradition in the worst cases. A poorly built, poorly finished, poorly furnished house on stilts, loudly called a "hotel".
3. The rooms are small, with the same small bathroom. The decoration and furnishings have long forgotten their best years. The mattress is a record holder, in my long life, I have never seen worse, and I did not even suspect that this happens, it was almost impossible to sleep, all the old springs dug into the body. Among the advantages are panoramic windows and a balcony with sea views. In the realm of this squalor, it was the only salvation. There is a dirty refrigerator in the room (as it turned out, not every room has a refrigerator), TV (I did not watch it). A kettle and an iron are in the hallway (and the kettle is only on one floor, there are also bottles with a pump (such as a "cooler").
4. Cleaning. She wasn't there. All 10 days. Not once. As there was no change of linen and towels. There was no garbage collection either. The receptionist assured that this was "the policy of the hotel" and "the manager warned." But as you know, of course no one had warned about this before, the people were shocked, from mild to severe.
5. But this is not the most trash. It turned out that almost ALWAYS, everyone living in the hotel suffers from rotovirus infection, sometimes several times. I assume that the reason is the sewage drains, which just go to the beach of the hotel.
6. However, it is difficult to call it a beach. Coast. Large pebbles. An inconvenient entry into the sea. The water is dirty (which is understandable). Of course, there is no infrastructure.
7. The food is vegetarian. From the cheapest products, but the chefs are trying their best. In principle, it's fine. But of course do not expect the promised.
8. Yoga - depends on the teacher, but I think all the races are good. The rugs are dead, I have never seen such worn, old and dirty rugs before. The yoga room on the roof does not match the photo - the carpet has been removed and the floor is just old concrete stained. The second yoga room, with air conditioning, sounds good, but in fact it is never turned on, they just open the windows, as a result it is stuffy and mosquitoes.
9. Free excursion to the Ritz, actually with an additional fee of 700 rubles (eco-collection), but that's okay, there is also a pronounced tourist mafia, the guide takes you to tastings of fake honey, bodied wine, to a "lure" cafe on the Ritz for lunch (by the way, inedible), breeds to additional locations for an additional fee, of course.
10. I don't seem to have forgotten anything. Whether to go or not is up to you. In principle, if this is a vacation as punishment for sins, then yes, it makes sense.
