Soviet time created Writers house was very old though rooms were renovated. There was a noise from outside, neighboring rooms. Kitchen was tasty but not enough for all guests.
Room was clean, cleaners were asking whether we need something.
Pools were not including in the bills we had to make additional pay.
Overall the money was not worth the hotel service.

A large family of 6 people had a rest from February 10 to February 17, 2025.
It looks very much like a museum. Sincere people. Homemade very tasty tea leaves. The atmosphere of a holiday home from the USSR. We really like it!
The hospitality is excellent!
If only we could find a sponsor and invest the money there, it would be full of visitors.
The possibilities allow.
If you are going to Armenia, I recommend that you come here for at least a couple of days. You won't regret it!

Everything is wonderful at the hotel! Sincere staff, attentive. They will listen kindly to any little thing and always provide support. The director is a role model! A lot of snow fell on the day of arrival. The director was clearing snow with his staff. A safe home environment.

We stayed with a group at the end of February-beginning of March. I liked everything. The staff was polite, the room was a double room on the ground floor, very spacious, clean, the room has everything you need (refrigerator, TV, kettle, heater...). Room cleaning every day! There is a conference room for work.
Everything is provided for recreation . There is a children's corner for children.
The food is good (buffet)
There is a swimming pool and a sauna. Rental of equipment.
The location is very convenient, close to the cable car and within walking distance of cafes, shops and restaurants. We will be happy to stay in this place.

Well, it's a very Soviet boarding house. The room stock is terrible. We lived in two-storey apartments. In winter, there is a oak tree on the ground floor. You can't enter the bathroom or the toilet, the temperature is three degrees lower there! There was no hot water on either the first or second floor. The problem has not been solved. I'm very happy that it's only been 24 hours. We couldn't have survived any longer. The restaurants in the locality are packed. It is necessary to book in advance. Otherwise, you'll stay hungry. Maybe it makes sense to book here in the summer, but I doubt it.

A Real Soviet Boarding House. There is everything: swimming pool, baths, territory, etc.
The staff is very friendly, they will always help. Of course, I would also like more modern rooms... and the carpets are not shabby... but the price here is much cheaper than around. The food is good. There are rooms with a kitchen. I recommend.

The director and staff of the hotel arranged a wonderful buffet for all the residents with gifts and playing the piano. Thank them very much for this!

I really liked the hotel, the atmospheric place. The friendly staff, the girls at the reception will always prompt and help solve the problem. We have been there for a week, the rooms are clean, bed linen and towels are changed every two days. Special thanks to the girls chefs, there is always a varied menu, everything is hot and delicious.

We stayed at the hotel from 17.04 to 24.04.23. I read the reviews, I was upset.
In fact, the hotel is GOOD!!!
The rooms are clean, the mattress, pillows, blankets are new, the bed linen is white, ironed. Rooms are cleaned every day.
The water pressure is good, hot water comes immediately.
There is shampoo, soap, hair dryer in the toilet, everything is as it should be.
The room had a desk with a table lamp, it was very convenient to work in the evenings.
Special THANKS for the food, we had breakfasts and dinners. The buffet is varied and cooked with love, with my sick stomach I have never had any heartburn or pain.
We thank the director of the restaurant, Armine, who was always present in the restaurant, walked between the tables, asked if everything was okay, how did we like the food?
The hotel is located far from narrow noisy streets with restaurants and cafes, has a large park area, birds are singing under the windows, beauty!!!

We booked the hotel (in advance), the hotel confirmed the reservation, on the day of our arrival in Armenia, we just received the luggage, the hotel cancels the reservation unilaterally, without any notification and we remain without a place to spend the night. At the same time, these are January holidays and it is not so easy to find available rooms in hotels. We have painfully found a place to stay, excellent hotels, if you are interested, see my reviews.
Then the story of the Tsakhnadzor Writers' House Hotel continues. Despite the fact that the reservation was canceled, Booking gave us the opportunity to leave a review, which we did, honestly describing the situation. A few days later, the administration of this hotel contacts me and starts demanding to pay for the room for a day, since Booking withheld the commission from them))). To be honest, we were shocked!
Further, I clearly explained to them the legal aspects that if they try to debit my card for a cancelled reservation by the Hotel, we will consider it fraud and theft and take action.
They promised to find out something and contact us, but they disappeared.
Perhaps this is a personal initiative of a hotel employee, I don't know. It was decided to share this story here in order to warn and protect our tourists.

The worst hotel we've ever stayed in. 70 people came to Armenia for the performance. The time of check-in was discussed, namely 12 o'clock in the afternoon. As a result, they settled us at 14:00, leaving us without lunch. When I entered the room, I felt the very smell of mothballs, which I had not felt for a very long time. We ordered a 4-bed room, which eventually awaited us: an old, tattered bed, apparently transported from the house of the great-grandmother of the hotel administrator, a creaking sofa, apparently taken from there, and a cot, which was missing half of the rods, which were apparently put to metal by previous guests of the hotel. The bathroom and toilet were shared, and the shower itself consisted of a leaky watering can, water that changed temperature every 5 seconds and some dirty rag that couldn't even be called a curtain. You can not hope for good Internet in this hotel - it is so bad that an SMS with 20 characters in a telegram was loaded for an hour and a half. I approached the reception 5 times with this problem, not only were they openly rude to me, but they were also not going to solve the problem. I also want to mention the attitude of the employees. The only time they communicated well with us was when they offered to wash 2 T-shirts without saying a word about the price (we gave about 1000 rubles for this wash). Also, our departure was arranged for 13:00. At 12, they began to openly enter our rooms and yell at us to release them urgently. While taking out their things, they shouted at the children with claims "why haven't you vacated the rooms yet, we will now charge you the amount for this day." I repeat, the departure time was carefully discussed with them. When we gathered to play a board game on the third floor (there is a table and chairs), the time was about four o'clock in the afternoon. We didn't make any noise and played quietly, communicating with each other. The cleaners came and began to swear at us, saying that we were "yelling at the whole hotel," although this did not happen, and they were the ones who were yelling. In general, I did not like the hotel very much, and they definitely do not deserve a rating greater than 1 star.

I was at this hotel in February 2020. A Soviet building. The ancient furniture has not been repaired since the same time.
The staff is polite. There is a free shuttle service. Ski equipment rental is inexpensive. The complement is 450 rubles a day. The hotel has a billiards and a sauna. The food is normal. Lunch and dinner can be ordered separately, the prices are cheap.
Down the ski slope. There are no queues. Descents to the top three. The tracks are poorly prepared. Due to the wind, not all trails are always open. Open the lifts slowly. It's terribly cold from the wind. Descents are for the average. . Plus they're long.
In general, the price and quality are satisfied.
Compared to the Soches, it is 2 times cheaper.
Yes, skipass is 1000 rubles per day.
I also went to Sevan. To open hot springs. Into the mountains to the ancient temple. Everything is interesting. I took a taxi. Prices are normal. You can ask for a taxi at the hotel.

It is located near the city center, within walking distance from shops and cafes, but it's only on the mountain, it's 50 meters steep to climb up. )) The rooms correspond to the price, they are normal, there is a kettle, a shower, a TV. We were very unpleasantly surprised by the cold breakfasts throughout the week that we were there on 1.02-8.02.2020. Moreover, we came to the opening of the canteen, by 9.00. More or less diverse, but almost always cold, sometimes some dishes were slightly warm. There is a free shuttle service to the mountain in the morning and back in the evening (3 times each). In general, a normal place.

It's not five stars. This is the House of creative writers! It's a very atmospheric place. A scoop, Armenian design, the nicest staff, nightly songs to the piano, billiards, Artsakh and cognac. And again - very nice people! The thrill is indescribable if you are able to forget and not remember about hotels with stars.
I love Tsakhkadzor and Howse of Writers.
