A sacred place for Christians. The house of the Mother of God, where she lived after the crucifixion of Christ. They made a church out of the house. Everything in the surroundings of the house is a monastery and a museum complex in combination. The house is small. Stone. Without the frills of ancient patricians and royalty. It's a very salty place.
Maria's house is not far from Ephesus, literally 2-3 km, but you can't walk from Ephesus. A small house that now acts as a temple, candles can be placed there, entrance to the territory is paid, it costs, if memory serves me correctly, 6 euros per adult, children under 8 years old enter for free. We took a taxi there from Ephesus. It's nice there, the place is small, 30 minutes is enough to visit.
We visited twice, we went from Bodrum, the road is very beautiful , and the place itself is wonderful, there is such tranquility. Of course, there are a lot of tourists, but they do not interfere with enjoying such a beautiful place at all)
The road is really picturesque, you can only get there by car, taxi, but today they asked me for 1,120 lira with parking for two, at a rate of 2.7, that is, more than 3,000 rubles!
The price is constantly growing, 3 months ago it was 600.
There are only 30 liras for the locals. It's better not to come here. I tried to get around on foot, where the guards immediately track and do not let me in.
If possible, be sure to visit! There have been various pontiffs in this house many times! The visit is not large and the guards begin to speed up the pilgrims if you arrive as part of an excursion. We were lucky, we arrived by our own transport and were able to stay longer and get acquainted in peace!
The House of the Virgin is a small building of the 7th century AD with a basement, roughly dated to the 1st century AD, which at the end of the 19th century Catholic missionaries began to identify with the house in which the mother of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, lived.
There is a small cafe at the entrance - good Turkish coffee ☕️
This is a building that at the end of the XIX century Catholic missionaries began to identify with the house in which the mother of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, lived.
of course, it's beautiful and interesting here, but for me, as an Orthodox person, I understand that this is not true
The Tomb of the Virgin Mary is located in Gethsemane, at the foot of the western slope of the Mount of Olives, in the Kedron Valley, in Jerusalem
, she spent the last years of her life in Jerusalem.
A holy place. The guide says that there are a lot of people on pilgrimage days and on Great holidays. You can put a candle, leave a note on the wall of desires (grab a piece of paper, a pen and a string (there is a grid on the wall of desires to fix the leaf), collect holy water (also take the container in advance). The road to the place is very picturesque.
If 15 years ago it was a private and secluded place, now for a car ride and 2! The person was given 900 lire, which is 2,800 rubles. There are a lot of people. The place became like a bazaar-train station.
A magical place! Whoever was here once will definitely come back here again! Energy and air, silence and peace, leave their deep imprint for a lifetime! This is the love of a lifetime! We will definitely come back here more than once!
It is not canonical, but a very revered and visited place. The place where, according to legend, the Virgin spent her last years of life. The house was not preserved and was built again in the original architectural style.
There are a lot of tourists, there is a souvenir shop and a cafe. Beautiful nature in the area. A good road to the place.
A small three-room house where the Virgin Mary (sort of) lived. It's not a very remarkable building. It is clear that it was restored and it is being monitored, but for me it was possible to put a museum or an exposition or something else next to it... otherwise it turns out that the time spent inside is 3 minutes and that's it. There are not very many people. You can't take pictures inside, and, to be honest, there's not much. It's funny that next to it you can drink and get clean cold water. There is a wall where you can make a wish. 5 stars, taking into account the informational significance and the venerable age of the building.
An atmospheric place, the house of the Virgin, is beautiful!

A beautiful place, a small chapel - you go inside, take candles for a small fee. Candlesticks are on the street to the right of the chapel. Next to the wall of desires, a la the wailing wall in Israel, the burning of wish papers takes place annually on August 15.
I am a staunch atheist. But even I was very impressed by this place. Some kind of intimacy, universal tranquility, comfort, detachment from earthly worries and problems. A place of spiritual power and purification.
A place revered by representatives of different faiths.
I strongly recommend a visit.
Bring paper and a pen with you to write a note, but it's better to write it in advance.
And wash yourself in three wells!
A historical place. I came here with an excursion to Ephesus-Pamukkale. The territory is small. You can explore everything in 30 minutes. They sell souvenirs. There are springs with clean water.

A holy place, on the very top of the nightingale mountain, a treasure is hidden for every believer - the house of the Most Holy Theotokos, where she lived for several years, having left Jerusalem for Ephesus with the apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian
