Be sure to visit the old city in Baku. In addition to the atmosphere, there are also a huge number of restaurants and shops. You can buy any souvenirs. I recommend the local pomegranate wine!
I really liked the Old Town. It is a pity that there was little time (only a few hours) to get acquainted with the beautiful Baku. I was upset by the attitude of the border service due to the presence of a mark in the passport about crossing the Armenian border.
The beauty is extraordinary, it will be remembered for a lifetime.

It is not worth this money to climb to the top of 15 manats . This is almost 800 rubles. You can get to the Hermitage for 800 rubles , you will see world masterpieces. There is very little information inside. We regretted that we went .
We advise you not just to climb the maiden tower, but to take a guide. Moreover, we got a young, but with an education guide. Who really told her story. A clear and memorable digression.
One of the symbols of Baku. Located at the entrance to the Old Town. A few years ago, it was possible to climb for 10 manats (local currency) up the spiral staircase to the observation deck to see part of the beautiful panorama of the city.
The Maiden Tower is a visiting card of the old city of Baku. A colorful architectural structure, you can go upstairs for a fee, a beautiful view of the city.
A landmark of a city with a dubious history. The Maiden Tower itself is not a beauty, but if you buy a ticket and climb to the top high on foot, then a beautiful panorama of the city opens)
The Maiden Tower is a historical structure. There are many legends connected with it ! And Baku can and should be visited, as there are many historical places in it that go back centuries!!!
An extremely interesting building from the outside.
Unfortunately, it is not so interesting inside, the historical exposition is extremely scarce.
Inside the tower does not cause any emotions, "history" is not felt.
A ticket for foreigners is expensive, the tower does not justify its cost, it is better to admire it from the outside.
Hello, I usually don't write reviews. But in this case , I couldn 't resist .I was born in Russia by nationality Tatar, my wife is Azerbaijani.Recently we were in Baku , I am a wife and my wife 's mother .We bought tickets to the maiden tower, we wanted to go in, but it's not that simple. A young (arrogant and ill-mannered Azerbaijani) first asked me in an Azerbaijani document or I said I didn't have a right with me, then he told me you're Russian, buy a ticket more expensive and come in.Well, of course we handed over all the tickets to the ticket office and went away from this tower…Here it is Caucasian hospitality))))
The Caspian Sea has never reached the Maiden Tower, girls have never been thrown off it. This is a legend, beautiful, widely known, but a legend. Less well-known are the works of Azerbaijani researchers and historians about the Maiden Tower. Everything is more prosaic there. But the tower itself has long become a symbol not only of the old city (Icheri Sheher, unfortunately, the Russian alphabet does not convey the sounds of the Azerbaijani language. As well as English), but also the whole of Baku as a whole.
It's a must-see. Visit-preferably, if possible. Not to see something interesting inside. And to be able to say- I WAS ON THE MAIDEN TOWER
The most recognizable landmark of Azerbaijan and the business card of the city of Baku. An interesting place - they say that the sea was beating waves against the walls of the tower! If that's the case, then the sea has receded a lot.

An interesting historical monument. For payment, you can go inside and climb to the observation deck.
It's a very colorful place. Beautiful photos. The symbol of Baku.

You can go upstairs, there is an observation deck, and not far from the tower there is a restaurant with glass doors, raised to the top floor of which you will have an amazing view and very delicious tea with sugar, which they make themselves
A business card of Baku, but you can limit yourself to sightseeing from the outside. There is a poor exposition inside, the entrance fee of 15 manats is unreasonably overstated, (for local 2 manats). Observation deck, no more.
The entrance costs 15 manats, as a result, the most interesting thing you will see here is a well inside the tower. The height of the tower opens up a beautiful view, but everything is covered with glass partitions (you can't really take normal photos), you can see such a beautiful view from the mountain nearby. It's clearly not worth your money. The exhibits inside are pretty boring.
