This wonderful place with a stunning aura is located near the city of Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The history of this fortress, as well as the architecture of the buildings itself, is fascinating. I do not advise you to go there from April to June, it is so very hot, the temperature in the sun reaches 50 degrees and it will take at least an hour to climb to the top. I have been there several times, but I liked it more in August (rainy season), when there are stunning green landscapes around. The passage to the top at this time through not long passages in the mountain itself adds special impressions, which is from the movie Indiana Jones, when bats and hissing flying cockroaches are around you)).
A constantly inhabiting flock of arrogant monkeys near the tower makes you keep your ear sharp, if you have a bag of food with you, you will be a welcome target for them.

This fort has an interesting history. It was originally called Devagiri, the Mountain of the Gods. Then another sultan decided to rename it Daulatabad, the Abode of Wealth, and even wanted to move the capital here instead of Delhi - crazy, what can you say. Of course, it's worth a visit, but the way to the top is thorny. It takes about an hour to arrive. Along the way, you can see fairly well-preserved walls and towers, a Lunar minaret, caves hollowed out in the rock, and walk along the so-called dark passage - again hollowed out inside the rock. Well, at the very top of the Durga cannon there are panoramic views, but it's up to anyone to evaluate.
