Last year we visited this cozy little museum on our own, we told the child ourselves. I really liked the museum. We returned this year, but we have already turned to the guide. It turned out to be a very interesting tour not only for a 6-year-old child, but also for parents. The tour turned out to be interactive, they rang a bell, started a gramophone. The works of Natalia Polikarpova's temporary exhibition made a huge impression, you can admire the clock and look at every object. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for such an interesting island of childhood!
It's just a great museum! The kid was very interested! For almost an hour, everyone watched, studied and played!
The museum staff are just sweethearts❤ very nice and lovely people!
The museum is super, I recommend everyone to visit it
If you are in Polotsk, be sure to go!
Children are interested, you can touch anything!
Adults will remember their childhood!
There is an interactive panel on the top floor, my children liked it!
The best impressions. It was like being in my own childhood. It was especially interesting for children. We got acquainted with the wonderful work of the Polotsk layout master (see the photo in the attachment). We recommend you to visit.
The museum is not big, but it is very informative. Children 6 years old liked to see and take pictures. I recommend this place to visit, it is very fascinating.
The first floor is generally not classified as a "children's" one. The second one shows a small number of Soviet toys on display behind glass.
In general, the exposition is very sparse, but the building itself is beautiful, everything inside is also neat. Is it necessary to throw a cry to the locals to bring something from their Soviet childhood, if there is one.
It is quite a neat place, but it did not bring any special impressions to us and the child, very beautiful dolls and dollhouses, expertly made, but without touching the children……
An interesting place for children and informative for adults, a large collection of unique things, on the third floor children can play, the staff is responsive and friendly, I recommend
Once they sold vegetables there during the Soviet period. I went there to buy beets, carrots, and potatoes. Then there was a period when there was silence and, in fact, the wasteland was turned into an interesting place. Yes, there is a small exposition there now, and it is meager, but if the museum lasts for several decades or centuries, then it will be the pride of the region.🙂😁👹
A nice little museum designed for children around 2-10 years old. The exposition is small, there are 4 large groups of similar objects with a history, but there are a couple of game screens, one of which will make an adult scratch his brains. You can't get stuck there for more than an hour, but it's cheap, just for a little entertainment.
I come here when I want to get nostalgic and go back to my childhood. Cute toys from the past, a collection of watches, scales, bells, samovars, postcards.... and yes, I will come back here.
The museum itself is magnificent! Such wonderful collections and themes, I found myself in childhood and showed my children the past. The idea that everything is interactive and can be touched is super! But, what cannot be touched or taken must be marked somehow. And not to the uncle of the caretaker to swear that we did something wrong. It was unpleasant when it turned out that the same puzzles on the wall could not be touched and we were told in a rude way that this panel turns out to be🙄 at the same time, the male employee had to interrupt a nice conversation with his friend. Then stand and guard your special exhibits 🤦♀️
I liked the museum. A lot of old things have been collected. The girl guide told the child everything perfectly and interestingly. I recommend you to visit.
An interesting mess for both children and adults. This year, I was surprised that the museum hosts various events, in particular a matinee for the New Year.
The museum is interesting, be sure to take the services of a guide for a child!Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the guide, but he was able to interest the child for more than an hour, which my wife and I are very grateful to him)))
The most interesting thing for the child is of course on the top floor, where there are toys and an interactive whiteboard)
The first floor is more for parents.
The best place to visit with children in Polotsk. Definitely recommend it!
The staff is very polite, they will tell you everything and show you. Children will be interested, everything can be touched, played, and adults will plunge into their childhood.
We were on an excursion with the 5th grade, I really liked it. Teachers were pleased with toys from childhood, children appreciated the interactive parts.
A great place for your child!!!! An exciting and informative tour!!!!

The museum itself is interesting, but more for parents)
The three-year-old liked only the 3rd floor, with a ship. But the toys of the past were very popular with parents.
An atmospheric place, a pleasant guide, told a lot of interesting things that I didn't even know about, listened to the thunderphone. Everything is done with love, I definitely recommend it!!!
I didn't expect much from visiting this museum. But, fortunately, I was mistaken. I grew up in the Soviet era, and many exhibits brought me back to my childhood.
It seemed to me that my son also needed to listen to my explanations and touch the story.
The exposition is built interestingly, it will definitely not be boring!
Just magical! I really liked everything! An interesting exposition, a lot of interactivity and places for photos. The children were delighted, and I was very interested myself. Excellent employees, communicate, talk, answer questions. Thank you very much!
Well... 3 halls: clocks/scales, postcards/cameras/samovars, books/toys
Entrance is paid, the tour is also for an additional fee, which upset me, because it's not such a big museum to take so much money
We expected more. There are very few toys (
I just wanted to bring my own from home and give them something so that they would have at least something
The museum is very interesting by design.it would be possible to replenish it from your closets))I liked the collection of bells and watches.
The disadvantages started right away:After crossing the threshold, we were a family alone.and they didn't even look up at us, they paid for the tickets and sent us-go.of course, I understand that it was necessary to pay for a guide, but he was not even offered. It feels like he wouldn't help either.on the second floor, a polite man opened the door for us and smiled. And I didn't lose my head and took everything into my own hands. She explained what she could to her children.when we went up to the third floor, there was a woman who turned out to be helpful and more or less guided us through the exposition.
As I understand it, when a tour guide is paid for, they will not only talk about the exhibits, but there will also be a game program.
When you go as a family, it is not rationally expensive, for tickets for all + a guide. and the museum is not worth the money.
The wishes of the museum are to increase the number of exhibits, then the cost of a guide, even just with the family, will be justified.
And, actually, it's worth including the museum for a weekend visit.

It's not a bad museum. Made with love, but the exposition of the first floor (and the beginning of the second, where everyone recognizes their children's toys) is probably more interesting for adults.
In general, the children liked it - especially the interactive screen on the second floor.
I wish there were more exhibits that can be touched.
It will be especially interesting for parents. It was like being in childhood. The young man kindly escorted us to inspect the exhibits. Keep in mind that the payment is in cash.
A museum for children and adults. See wonderful objects from the 60s, 70s,..how the phone, TV, samovar, clock changed. It's probably especially good if you go to an interactive program
We visited Polotsk for the first time , we really liked the city . Friendly and kind people. There are a lot of interesting historical places. There is a children's museum, only two floors, but it was very interesting for us👍
A very cool place! It's interesting and everything can be touched. My son was delighted! A wonderful museum employee (a man) told a lot of interesting things even without a tour!
I really liked it. Only the name is somewhat incorrect, it should be renamed the "Museum of Childhood". Everyone who was born in the USSR will have something to remember and show live and tell their children-grandchildren.
