We chose this hotel because we came for diving. There was no planned stay at the hotel.
However, we won't go there anymore.
- food
Poor food. For breakfast, only boiled egg, flatbread, instant coffee, tea poured with boiling water. Lunch and dinner were monotonous when we went. We ate in local cafes.
- location
Far from the sea. We took a taxi to the paid beaches
- in the room
The cracks in the windows are as big as a finger. It's blowing from there, it's very cold in the room
We haven't cleaned or changed towels in 10 days.
There are a lot of mosquitoes in the room
There is no hot water - barely warm.
- the hotel
The furniture is shabby, especially in the dining room, everything is very sad.
Wifi is only available at the reception and then intermittently
After leaving the hotel, they demand money for lunch
Now in this hotel. Minuses: the food is meager, breakfast: 2 eggs, a piece of cheese, 2 pieces of sausage made of paper, tea, bread. Lunch and dinner are better, but with no choice, no sauces. Mosquitoes are eating. The water is barely warm. There is no hair dryer. Not at all. There is no iron at all. There is no private beach. Pros: inexpensive, good bed and white linen and towels. Beautiful green area. A polite receptionist.
This is not the first time in Egypt - there is something to compare it with! I've never been to the worst hotel yet. I do not advise anyone to stay in this hotel. The rooms are old and worn out, the cleaning in the rooms is very poor, there is a clump of someone else's hair behind the toilet door, and there is glass under the window. The food in the hotel is disgusting. In the hotel itself, only eggs are cooked and vegetables are cut. Soups and hot dishes, desserts are brought from the five-star Monte Carlo hotel. To clarify, lunch is served with what the guests didn't finish in Monte Carlo and a personal dinner. If you come to a meal an hour after the start, there is a high probability that you will remain hungry, since at that time the staff is already eating and there is nothing left. The bar is officially open from 12.00 to 22.00, but there is no bartender on site. He only shows up for lunch and dinner. There is no beer. Strong drinks are poured at the rate of 10 grams per person. There is no animation at all. The majority of the residents are pensioners, who mostly come to the hotel only to sleep. The hotel administrator does not decide anything and also appears at the reception in dotted lines. Internet is only available in the reception area.
We survived for 2 days and moved to another hotel for an additional $500.
We had a rest from December 15-25, 2024. A solid three. I liked everything. The staff is friendly. The territory is well maintained. The food is normal. I advise you, you won't regret it.

A great three for Egypt. Polite, smiling staff, car parking, simple edible food
What's important:
The hotel doesn't have its own beach, budget for paid beaches and taxis.
If you want to have a delicious meal, there is a cafe nearby for reasonable money.
Cleaning is on request, as befits a three-piece. For the tips you leave, your room will be cleaned to a shine.
There is no entertainment inside (and there shouldn't be)
In general, I read the reviews and looked at the photos in recent years, and I was there in 2011 for the last time. I look and wonder, nothing has changed. Previously, there were the same beds, shower toilets and everything else, but what a price tag they put up, I thought the hotel had been put in order for so many years, but not. Very sorry. I definitely won't go to this hotel for a vacation.
The hotel "everything is off"
There is no pool bar or it is closed, it is not clear. A pile of garbage in its place.
Very poor breakfast/lunch/dinner. Especially do not rely on tea, coffee, compote or any other drinks.
There is no air conditioning at the reception, and there is no Wi-Fi either. The rooms are scuffed, the bathroom smells. They don't even know what a hair dryer is here.
The shower is hanging on snot, like everything else.
To say that I didn't like the hotel is to say nothing. It all starts with the reception: it's hot, no air conditioning works, the staff knows only Arabic and a little English. They move into small rooms with old furniture. Nothing was cleaned for years, I had to ask them to put things in order and change the bed linen. And they also gave out towels that are very old and don't look very fresh. The room has a working refrigerator (overgrown with ice), air conditioning (normal), no safe. You can leave money and other things at the reception, but it is unlikely that anyone will be responsible for their safety there.
There is a swimming pool on the territory, but it has not been cleaned for a long time, plaque, dirt on the walls are disgusting. But the hotel itself is clean, the trees are trimmed, watered every day.
The rooms have never been cleaned in all 6 days of our stay, and they have not even thrown out the garbage. But on the day of departure, they came running to expel us at 12.00, or they had to pay 300 Egyptian pounds for an extension for 3 hours.
Mosquitoes have become another big problem. Because the doors and windows are wooden and old with huge slits, mosquitoes freely fly into the room and bug you all night. They asked the staff for a fumigator, gave them a spray.
As a hotel, this place has already outlived itself, not even one star can be put. But it can be called a hostel, cheap, quiet and very sad.
*there is no beach of your own either, it's your problem where you will go swimming and for what price. There is no transfer, as well as a cafe or even more so a restaurant. If you don't want to spoil your vacation - look for a hotel with its own beach, in a good area.
I had a rest at the hotel on a voucher at the end of August 2023 according to the all-inclusive system. The hotel, of course, is so-so. 3* does not pull even according to the Turkish classification)) half of the buildings did not work (apparently closed for repairs), but on the whole, the exterior of the building and the territory look decent, more or less well-groomed. The same cannot be said about the rooms.
The rooms are very tired. Peeling doors, furniture, walls, ceilings. The towels are tired, washed, with curly stains. The bed linen, it should be noted, is clean. No one did the cleaning for a week, although it suited me, but no one else came into the room.
The service here is generally zero. No one offers anything themselves, when you ask for something, they do it slowly and reluctantly. Of the three requests, one will be fulfilled, the rest will have to be repeated.
Nutrition is a separate story. You won't stay hungry here, but you won't get any pleasure either. The breakfasts are exactly the same every day: a couple of boiled eggs, several plastics of soy sausage and cheese, a couple of simple rolls, a couple of sweet ones. The most relish is that no one will offer you drinks here. Due to the small number of guests, the kitchen and bar do not work, food is carried from a nearby hotel in foil. But to get drinks, you need to go to the reception every time and ask. It's terribly annoying. I even complained about it to the manager, but nothing has changed... Drinks include sprite, cola and water in a cooler. You can ask for tea or coffee, but the coffee is disgusting, and you don't want it hot in this heat. At first they refused to serve alcohol at all, when I talked with the manager, they began to offer local strong alcohol for half a glass for lunch or dinner (vodka, gin, rum, whiskey). I tried rum and Coke once - such a hellishly burning mess that I didn't try it anymore. Beer was never offered.
Lunches and dinners are a little more varied: always a couple of types of meat, sometimes battered fish, chicken or turkey, sometimes thinly sliced veal. The side dish is always some kind of rice, sometimes mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, once there were fries. Slicing was always served (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, greens). Always sweet pastries and 3 fruits (oranges, bananas, pears, plums, apples). The hot stuff seemed to be good, but it was often a little dry, and no one offered sauces. It turned out that there is a pepper shaker on every stand, but salt is only in one jar for the whole hall. And for the first few days, the conder did not work in the dining room - and it was super stuffy
If you have an excursion and need an early breakfast, of course, they will not make it for you)
That's the kind of hotel. If you just want to spend the night, it will do. Cheap-angry)
To be honest, I liked everything. I don't know why this hotel is judged so badly. In general, everything is cool. There are no questions. I don't know why everyone judges it so much. I liked everything.
A very sincere hotel, I did not like it immediately, but then we fully appreciated its advantages: cozy, quiet, sparsely populated, green, fed without frills, but delicious. The staff is not intrusive, on the fifth day we felt like visiting our grandmother there. The room is gorgeous, almost like in Thai, large, lots of furniture. The buildings are two-storeyed and completely isolated, the neighbors were not heard at all. We found the beach ourselves, the hotel is 700 meters away with a good reef, but the sea is always stormy. For 2 bucks, a taxi will take you wherever you want, at least every day to a new place. We found a bay with a calm. There are fewer fish, but no waves. In general, Egypt was pleasantly surprised, everyone will find a place to their liking there. We were in October 2021
There are advantages and, unfortunately, disadvantages of this hotel. I'll start with the bad - the old rooms of the two thousandth, the destroyed infrastructure in the hotel itself, poor cleaning of what is available. For example, there is a large outdoor bar area and a barbecue area - the bar has been dead for a long time, there is no question of grilled meat. Fortunately, the small pool is maintained in good condition. But there are also advantages. The staff, although they do not speak mainly Russian, are very helpful and positive, and if you give a small tip, then they are fast. The menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner is monotonous, but without restrictions. They cook delicious, you won't starve to death. The hotel is located geographically in the city center, but in fact it is a little away from the main life. The nearest beach is 10 minutes on foot, the Old Town is about 35 minutes on foot or 3 dollars. For its price, the hotel is very good and I can recommend it
For that kind of money (20 thousand/person for 7 days with a flight) - an excellent hotel, a solid three. The location is excellent - the nearest beach is a 7-minute walk away. There are many shops and cafes nearby. The food is not very varied, but it is satisfying. Things are bad with alcohol - bring your own from dutik
We got on a burning cheap tour to the Desert View Hotel - with departure from Voronezh. 7 nights / 34 thousand for two . We read the reviews , we did not expect much from the 3 -Star hotel ... But it turned out to be a very decent three! And 70% of a good holiday is a great administrator! Huge greetings to him - the Russian-speaking hotel administrator- Nader (Nader)! He quickly solves all issues from 8 a.m. to 20 p.m. (sometimes he stays later!) The girlfriends quickly changed the room to a more comfortable one - on the 1st floor. He helped us constantly, advised beaches, shops, shopping and souvenirs (even took us to the store in his car!)
On nutrition - you will not stay hungry! The food is monotonous, but there are a lot of things) Fish and Chicken for lunch and dinner every day! Just come to the beginning of lunch / dinner - hungry vacationers help themselves to large portions of fish and it ends quickly...
Fruits and Sweets 3 times/day!
Please note - the bar is open during meal hours (not around the clock)
About Water: upon check-in, they give 1.5 liters / person at once and then you come to the reception with this bottle - they collect water from the cooler for free)
The room has everything you need: air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, kettle, tea/sugar/ towels...comfortable beds. Great bathroom. (I'm attaching a photo of the number) There is no hair dryer and iron.
Wi-Fi is good at the reception ( when there are a lot of people, it is weak... And in the evening there are mosquitoes at the reception, Be careful)
The hotel itself is close to 1001 nights (closed for now), a taxi will take you quickly to the Old Town, there are many shops nearby, supermarket, Mango Market, pharmacies, etc. We got into mango season - we constantly bought it for ourselves (1.5/ kg)
The hotel has a swimming pool, but we have never swum there... after all, there is such a sea nearby- Reef Beach 7-8 minutes on foot!!! It is paid - $ 3 . By the way, when there was a storm at sea, we refunded $ 3 back... If there is a storm, you can get to the beach with a sand - Terrazino (by taxi -2 $, entrance is also 3 $). It's in the bay - there are no waves and the beach is always open.
On the last day of our vacation, the hotel had a disco behind the pool and a free bar)) In general, we were at a disco near the hotel - Shooters Bar (a DJ played Russian songs there for us))
Conclusion: if you came for the Sun, the sea, fruits and communication, and not to sit in the room, then you are here!!!
I recommend it !!!
From the cons - mosquitoes ... Take a fumigator with you! (plug in and spray) or buy locally from the supermarket.
For 3 stars, it's not even bad. There was always fresh fruit for lunch and dinner, which was not the case in similar hotels nearby (this is according to the reviews of their guests). The staff is very cultured and helpful. The territory is always kept clean, bushes, grass, flowers are watered. You can sunbathe by the pool, the water is invigorating. Of the cons: well, the Internet is very slow and then only in the reception area and the cafe.
The hotel is one star, everything is off! The adventures begin as soon as you get off the bus in front of the hotel.. None of the staff knows Russian, wi-fi only works at the reception sometimes! Even at the reception, two stars weigh modestly (maybe because of the steel and stability of the hotel walls, they decided to finish painting a star). In the dining room, after putting food on a greasy plate, I immediately lost my appetite for vodka..and from the "generous" meat guard, who stands at the distribution and whom the entire staff proudly calls the chef, on the very first day of his arrival, a girl cried (she says how horrified I arrived). If you are 30 minutes late(a) for lunch, then you can stay hungry. The rooms are dirty, sticky and greasy!Even if you ask every day at the reception to clean the room, then maybe once every three days only towels will be replaced. There is an air conditioner in the room (similar to an old TV) which only turns on or off, the temperature cannot be adjusted, so it is either stuffy or cold like in a morgue. In the morning, on the second day, they found a lizard on the wall in their room. There are two dirty pools with a lot of bleach. There is no water to wash in the room during the day and in the shower it does not drain well into the sewer. The sea is 100 meters away, the beach is paid ($ 3 per person). On the beach (a beautiful place), there is a restaurant, there is not expensive pizza, the staff is polite. A taxi along the Charm (wherever you go) costs $ 2 (maximum offer 3)
Terribly old, shabby rooms. It's scary to turn on the air conditioner, there's so much dust and other dishonor!Everything is "begging for the trash"!And the staff is very pleasant and polite. The gardener is the best! With his "light hand", the green spaces are pleasing to the eye!
Standard 2 with a crappy breakfast. Without a beach. Cheap, but dirty. Part of the hotel is used as a dorm for the staff of the Monte Carlo hotel and at night there is a lot of sex life)))
