"89 Sergei Yesenin Street. This is the central street of Mardakan, which bears the name of the famous Russian poet. On the same street there is a two-storey architectural building (once owned by a former millionaire oil industrialist Murtuza Mukhtarov), it stands out for its oriental beauty. There are memorable lines on the gates of this building: "Here, in the village of Mardakan, in 1924-1925, the great Russian poet S. Yesenin lived and worked.""
