A year ago we visited this place, everything was very tasty, we ate there regularly.
We arrived this year - apparently the chefs have changed, but this is not the level at all.
Warm salad with liver - lettuce leaves are sour (too much acid), the liver is in some kind of breading, it looks like deep-fried. They ruined all the tenderness of the product.
Caesar with chicken is more or less, but the sauce is not the same.
Carbonara is delicious, but there is no salt there, just like in caesar.
The next day we decided to give another chance and came for breakfast:
-The waiter did not warn that the porridge was not ready and we had to wait until it was cooked. What is the preparation for breakfast? Rice porridge is much tastier when it is infused and the rice is boiled.
- Pancakes with honey were brought disgusting, as if on water, with the addition of vanillin. We haven't eaten any worse pancakes.
- Complex breakfasts for 400 rubles - 2 sausages and 2 eggs.
In general, the establishment has deteriorated.

We were in Sukhumi for the New Year 2024, booked a table for New Year's Eve, left an advance of 5 t r, when we arrived, our table was occupied, besides us 4 more people found themselves in the same situation. The receptionist just blinked, couldn't decide anything, the New Year was ruined. The receptionist of our hotel said that we are not the first to complain about booking at the DAM.

We had a rest in the second half of July. The most important advantage of the hotel's location: on the waterfront, close to shops, cafes, and the sea. The room is really big: there is a mini-bar (for a fee), air conditioning on both the first and second levels, a kitchenette, a microwave, a huge sofa in the living room, a large bed downstairs, and two single beds upstairs, a dining table. It is a pity that there is no refrigerator - in such a huge room there is a place where to put it. Nice balcony with sea view. Breakfast is included in the price. 6 breakfasts to choose from: English (scrambled eggs with bacon, salad (cucumbers, tomatoes), toast), American (scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, salad), Russian (semolina or oatmeal porridge, 3 pancakes, boiled egg) Turkish, Abkhazian, European. In principle, we liked all the breakfasts except Turkish and Abkhazian. Downstairs, the Dam cafe, where breakfast is served, you can order food from it to your room. You only pay for the food on the menu. Bed linen was changed, towels too. Room cleaning is imperfect, but normal.
I didn't like the check-in and check-out moment. Check-in at 15.00 (unlike the standard 14.00) and check-out at 11.00 and not at 12.00 as is customary in most hotels. Maybe we were so unlucky, but they immediately refused an earlier check-in, the reason for the refusal was room cleaning.
We left the hotel early in the morning - they give lunch boxes and water with them - this is a plus, but the way they were collected is boiled eggs, sausages (they were not even boiled), a whole cucumber and a whole tomato))) - this is certainly not very similar to the lunch box of the hotel, more like a grandmother's snack.
As for the beach directly opposite Dam, someone wrote that it was equipped, but that's what we didn't understand. We went to another beach - to the right of the hotel, as the beach opposite Dam seemed to us the most uncomfortable. Sun beds and umbrellas on all beaches for money from private owners (100 rubles a sunbed, 50 an umbrella). Damu's wish is still a lot of money for accommodation, it would be possible to buy umbrellas with sun beds for their guests, especially since they have a small number of rooms.
A small minus can be given for waiting for breakfasts - because you really wait a long time for them and add a little variety to them.
The lack of a refrigerator is also a minus, we used the mini bar as a refrigerator.
We lived in room 7 - it didn't bother us, but for families with children - keep in mind - there is a soho cafe next to the wall, and the music in it screams as if all this cafe is moving to your room for the evening. I don't know about the other rooms, but ours was right next to this soho. The Dem said that they are thinking about building an additional one.walls to muffle audibility, but keep this in mind when checking in.
Separately, I want to say by the number, it is large, beautiful, but here and there there are already stains on the upholstery, curtains, holes and torn upholstery. The accommodation itself is not cheap and for such money I would like the hotel to keep an eye on its rooms. For 6 nights for 4 (3 children+1 child) 81 thousand rubles

A nice restaurant right on the waterfront. Due to the location, prices are high. The dishes are delicious. The order is for 2000 rubles. Everyone had a good snack. There was a pizza with ham and some kind of delicate sauce, Satsivi, a frying pan with fried chicken and vegetables and French fries. A nice quiet environment without stupid music. Polite waiters.

We arrived only for 5 days in the beautiful city of Sukhum. The first evening we had dinner at this restaurant. And for the rest of the vacation, we had dinner only here. A magical view of the sea, wonderful service. Special thanks to the waitress Rufina, who guided the menu wonderfully and advised delicious dishes. However, the meat is not cooked very well, the turkey turned out to be very tough. But still, there were only positive impressions about the incredible hospitality of Abkhazia.
