A magnificent villa with a magnificent view of the Dilijan valley. Large territory, Parking, barbecue area, garden and trampoline, fountain and more. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent cuisine, beyond praise. One disadvantage is that you will not be able to overeat :)) 10 out of 10!! Thanks for the rest, we will definitely come back again!
Nature is wonderful, people are responsive, the air is just wonderful. What could be better than mountains? Only the mountains🥰Come and see for yourself👍
How can I save two days for an overprice?
If for some reason you ever ask yourself this question, the answer may be a guest (oh, no, sorry, of course "club", which the hostess always emphasizes) Dehzen's house in Dilijan.
All the prices described below, room options, etc. were relevant at the time of booking and visiting this house. It is possible that something might have changed at the time of reading.
There are no signs or signs by which the house can be identified. To get into the territory, you need to ring the bell at the gate. To leave the territory, you need to call it by sticking your hand through the bars on the back side. Externally, everything is decorated quite nicely: a small courtyard, a fountain, a small flower garden, several tables under umbrellas from the sun with views of the city and mountains.
And so, what did we get for the price of $ 200 for one night (which is exactly how much our room cost at the time of booking on Booking). I can say that the description of the room varies from manipulation of facts to outright deception.
The huge list of options that was listed on Booking corresponds to reality very conditionally and remotely. A balcony, a refrigerator, air conditioning, a kettle, a coffee machine, a hairdryer, an iron, a mountain view, a view of the sights, a bathtub (namely a bathtub, not a bathroom), a fireplace, a washing machine and a dishwasher – this is not a complete list of what was indicated in the room description. None of this is in the room, but some of the stated options may be located somewhere inside the house in the common area.
Please be careful: despite the description, none of the rooms have a balcony! For the sake of interest, we wandered around the house for a bit - in none! There is a shared balcony, the windows of two rooms overlook it (no, not the doors, but only the windows). There are tables on the balcony, anyone can be there. There is no refrigerator, kettle, air conditioner, and almost everything further down the list in the room. You can ask the cook to put something in the refrigerator, but you need to understand that this is a shared refrigerator, it is not in the room. I did not see an air conditioner anywhere, perhaps it is also available somewhere in the depths of the house, but it is definitely not in the room. There is a kettle in the common area, but not in the room. There was no hair dryer initially either, but we asked for it and it was brought.
As for the views, again, you will not get a normal view of the city and mountains from any room. In our room, you had to stand in the very corner of the room, press against the wall, and then you could see something. Well, formally, the view is present, but it is not possible to enjoy it. One room has windows facing the mountains, but they do not face the street, but into something like an internal corridor with windows. I.e. from them you look out the window through another window at the mountains. The pleasure is also very controversial.
Of course, there is no declared coffee machine in the room either, there are glasses and 3-in-1 coffee bags. The kettle, as I wrote above, is missing, and even if by some miracle I wanted to drink this drink, I would not be able to.
The hostess of the house (by the way, she lives in it) - an architect, psychologist, astrologer – restored the house and made it a "clubhouse". Among the achievements: the rooms are small, cramped, dark. Since the windows overlook the shared balcony, the curtains must always be kept closed. For some reason, the bathroom light switch is placed next to the bed, and not next to the bathroom. Needless to say, the light switch in the room is located only at the entrance. Apparently no one knows about the pass-through switches here. There is no soap dish in the bathroom, no toothbrush cup, no shelves. All the accessories just have to be put on the sink. There is no shelf for shampoos in the shower, apparently it is assumed that visitors know the art of levitation, and all shampoos and gels should just float in the air. The bathroom door opens inward, blocking the heated towel rail and the outlet for the hair dryer. In general, doing something in a bathroom with an open door is not very convenient, because being open it additionally takes away space from the sink and mirror. Apparently, it was in such nuances and trifles that the architectural genius of the hostess manifested itself. The clock in the room stopped a long time ago, no one bothered to replace the battery, as if to remind once again that no one really cares.
Surprisingly, you can pay with cards here, but the owners did not seem to have fully figured out the terminal, and every attempt to pay for something turned into dancing with a tambourine. And then you are also asked to show on your phone that the transaction has passed, and your money has been debited. After all, this is a "club" house, everything is based on trust.
On the positive side, I can mention a very pleasant female chef, good, very plentiful food.
Of course, before checking in, when we saw all this, we tried to negotiate with the hostess about the cancellation, but the only option offered was that we cancel everything on Booking ourselves, and the full cost of the stay is deducted from us. Of course, I didn't want to throw away $ 400 just like that, so I didn't have much choice. To the comment that it would be necessary to post the correct information on Booking, the hostess told us on arrival: "No, YOU needed to clarify all the information." A wonderful approach. We needed to clarify that the room with a balcony does not have a balcony, we needed to clarify that the room with a refrigerator does not have a refrigerator, we needed to clarify that the room with an air conditioner does not have an air conditioner, and so on down the list.
On the last day, we were treated to a fruit plate and a bottle of local "wine" as a compliment. Yes, it is in quotation marks. For this is about the kind of wine that can be found in some Magnet or Dixie on the lowest shelf for 200-250 rubles. The same color of the gloomy dawn over Chertanovo, with the smell of smoky Lefortovo entrances and the putrid taste of Kapotninsky basements. Fortunately, being a simple Ural guy, I can drink anything that burns.
And the next morning, right during breakfast, we were very bluntly reminded that at 12:00 we should no longer be here. Thanks, I didn't really want to.
And it may seem that I'm being picky, and everything is not so bad, and you could close your eyes to many moments. And I would agree if it cost not $200, but at least $50- $80 per night. And I just didn't describe many points because of the length of the review. I am for the price to be adequate to the level of service.
