The hotel itself is 5 , clean, cozy, the staff is great. However, the King size bed is actually a little more than a half-bed)And the Moïse restaurant has a huge minus, they came for breakfast, ordered 2 omelets and 2 coffees, brought a basket of bread products to the table and then included them in the bill for 360 lira!!! They told the reception , they were outraged. Then we had breakfast in the city and the port. Otherwise, no complaints.
Nice hotel in the city center. Very convenient location - you can walk around the center, there are several museums nearby. The room is clean, the staff is very responsive. We booked a room with 2 beds on the Island - when checking in, it turned out that the room was booked with 1 bed - but this was fixed in 5 minutes. They responded quickly to all questions. The room had everything you needed, as well as an iron and ironing board. Hair dryer, shower and hygiene products. The only negative is breakfast. We went to have breakfast because we read a lot of reviews about how amazing the view is there (the rooftop restaurant) and how delicious it is there. As a result, the breakfast was very ordinary, the food was like food, without any special frills. Coffee is normal. Not memorable. We were told that they don't give cappuccino for breakfast, just plain black coffee. There is a view, of course, but the usual one - the bay between the houses is a little visible. Perhaps there is a view from another hotel of the same chain, which is located nearby. We stayed at the Hotel deCamondo, Tribute Galata. I attach a photo of the room. There are also photos of the menu and prices of drinks that are in the mini-bar.
It can be seen that people who write reviews have either traveled little or do not understand the meaning of 5 stars.
The hotel has a maximum of 3 stars, no more.
Small rooms, it is already inconvenient with one suitcase, if there are two of them, then you simply do not have a chance to comfortably stay in a deluxe room with a King size bed. Separately, it should be noted that there was no King Size bad either. The staff just doesn't understand what's going on around + not everyone speaks English very well.
When asked to catch a taxi, they started fussing, after 10 minutes of waiting, they said that it was better for you to walk or use public transport. I don't mind, just because of the 10-minute fuss on their part, I missed a business meeting. But the peak was when, on the day of departure, they were asked to put their luggage in the storage room waiting for the transfer, what was my surprise when I returned, I saw my luggage standing unattended in the middle of the lobby. There were also problems with electricity in the room, which, however, were solved in 10-20 minutes.
I also don't understand how it is possible to have a slow Wi-Fi in 2024 and offer a paid subscription for 35 euros per day for high-speed. In my opinion, this is a bad idea.
The only issue they were really able to solve was the laundry, so 3 stars, not 2.
I recommend choosing a different hotel to stay in Istanbul.
