One of the best cafes for food during a visit to Uzbekistan.
Well, like a cafe, more like a snack bar in the market. If you need an interior and decor, then you are not here, but if you want to try real Uzbek food, then you will like it.
There is no menu as such, but there is a choice to eat, the portions are large, the greens are given generously.
We ate lagman, ground shish kebab, achikchuchuk (the largest of all that we were served), tea (also as many as 2 kettles were rolled out for four at once). Fresh bread and a whole plate of greens (although we did not order). And cheap!
We liked it.
Thanks to the host for the hospitality
We accidentally stumbled upon this modest cafe in the market. We talked to the owner, stayed for lunch. Very tasty lagman, soup with dumplings, everything is prepared fresh and according to national traditions. The next day we came to taste Khorezm pilaf. I am delighted with the cordiality and hospitality. Locals and those who work and shop at the market eat in this place, and this says a lot. The portions are large. There is samsa, chebureks, shish kebab. I highly recommend it to those who like to get acquainted with the cuisine while traveling. Our reviews are the first, as we recommended the owner to check in on the map so that as many people as possible could eat real delicious Uzbek cuisine. Inexpensive. Where else can you get so into the local flavor?
A small cafe in the Central Market. They cook not for tourists, but for their own. There is no interior in principle, there is not even a sign, but everyone in the market knows about this cafe.
Everything is fresh, no semi-finished products. The menu is not very large, about a dozen dishes. We took soup with dumplings and lagman. It's delicious, I recommend it, tastier than in restaurants. The next day we specially came for Khorezm pilaf, we need to make it before 12. Pilaf is very different from Tashkent and Samarkand, we cook with cottonseed oil
The cafe owner speaks excellent Russian and talks about the peculiarities of Khorezm cuisine.
In terms of price / quality ratio, I give this cafe 5/5.
