The place is decorated with a "local" flavor. We were pleased with the dishes of the national cuisine, we liked everything very much. They cooked it and brought it pretty quickly. Machanka and draniki with pork rinds are generally on fire! The drinks are great too! I tried a set of tinctures and moonshine with horseradish, I was satisfied! The staff was polite, but the girls were kind of sad! Smile more 😁 I will definitely come back if I am in Polotsk 👍

Cute restaurant, decor and food in Belarusian style
Among the advantages: affordable prices, a wide variety of dishes, a cozy atmosphere, food straight from the heat)
Cons: they were hot for a long time, they waited for more than an hour, the sauce in the machanka was a little bland in taste and liquid, the potatoes in the dish "Hussars on the pass" were completely regretted (I will attach a photo)
Bottom line: a good place, the main thing is not to rush anywhere while sitting there)

The exterior and interior of the cafe in a colorful Belarusian style with antique attributes of Belarusian life. Inside there are 3 public halls and a room for 2 tables (VIP boarding). The prices are average, for two you can tightly and deliciously re-mix by 50 bel. rubles. The cafe staff is polite and smiling. The cooking and order submission time is 15-20 minutes. However, the attention was attracted by the not fully peeled beef tongue in the salad (photo attached), which was unappetizing. Otherwise, the cafe is decent. 🙂👍

I must say, the food is excellent. The service is at the village level. I'm coming back from the sanatorium, from the canteen. I WANT TO EAT. I order 3 dishes, 250 vodkas. It's 6 hours before the bus, I'm going to sit for at least a couple of hours. They bring it fast, hot, and delicious, but.... all at once. By the time I finished the hodgepodge, the rest was hopelessly cold. Well, DAMN, a man orders a lot and vodka, so he'll be sitting... Why carry it all at once?!!! I'm not full, I want more, I wait 15-20 minutes (stuck on the phone), I see 3 girls sitting talking, zero attention to me. I had to go to the counter to ask. Oh, I forgot to tell you, I'm the only visitor all the time, there's no one else. Yes, probably Polotsk is not a tourist center, the flow of tourists is small, there is no one to study with. But.... Maybe that's why there aren't so many tourists?! A lot depends on the internal culture. Uncle, I forgot... Well, don't cover the glaze with a lid!!!

Cozy and homely. It can be seen that they really messed up in the interior right from the entrance, and with the menu, and with the name of the dishes. You open the menu and everything and immediately want to eat or at least try a piece. But, everything changes when they bring it to you. Moreover, they bring you everything at once, so that you haven't had time to finish the salad yet, but you already have hot steaming on the table and you don't know whether to finish the salad, or take hot snacks, or eat hot while it's hot. This is despite the fact that not even half of the tables are occupied in the restaurant. I understand that the basic concept of the establishment is a simple Belarusian cuisine and interior, but not to the same extent!? We ordered a salad, 2 juliennes, and hot. Everything is fine with salads. But Julien... In the photo and in the description, nothing alerted. The waiter focused more on its small size than on its non-standard reading. I've never tried julienne on mayonnaise! In fact, they were pickled tasteless champignons with pieces of chicken in mayonnaise. All this is sprinkled with cheese and baked. Since they were already eating chilled, the cheese was just lying on top of the layer. You definitely won't want to repeat such a tasting experience. For the hot meal, they ordered "hussars at a halt" (how does it sound, huh?!) and potato chips with mushrooms.(I could forget how it sounded on the menu, because I was very focused on the HUSSARS) While we were ordering and waiting for the order, we thought that we would still try real homemade Belarusian cuisine, as they wrote in the reviews..But.. the Hussars were even more disappointed (honestly. Just potatoes, fried eggs, fried bacon and sausage. Everything was supposed to be hot and hot, but everything cooled down in just 5 minutes while we were finishing salads and julienne. From which I conclude that everything, even the glazes, was heated in the oven to the state of a hot frying pan when serving.. and the glaze has already become not glaze at all. the meatballs were not bad, but they were already eaten cold, so the impression was spoiled.
I praise you for the idea, I take off my hat! I am always ready to support Belarusian and native with a ruble! but after visiting this place, disappointment remained.

It's not a bad place. The surroundings, of course, leave much to be desired, but since the goal was to have a snack, I didn't pay much attention to it. The menu is quite good, the choice of dishes is wide. There are hot dishes in the assortment. The price tag is slightly overpriced, but it was delicious. I was surprised that it was cooked very quickly. I noticed that at lunchtime there is a lunch menu with fairly reasonable prices. In general, I did not regret that I stopped by. And my stomach was satisfied)).

It's a pretty cozy place. Something in between a restaurant and a cafe. The interior is themed and somewhat overloaded with antique utensils.
But the overall impression is pleasant. The waitresses were polite, competent, and efficient.
The dishes are delicious.
The only thing I didn't like was the atmosphere itself - it somehow presses. It seems cozy, but cramped.

A cool room, a long wait for an order, and a phenomenally unfriendly staff. However, this is probably the norm for Belarus. That's where the cons end. The food here is very tasty. It's good, satisfying, and everything is very fair in terms of cost. A very rich menu for such an establishment. Well located. A must-visit!

On September 29, 2024, our group had lunch at this cafe. The service was nice, the appetizer was delicious. And when the draniki arrived in a pot, I asked the waitress to put them in a lunch bag. But the waitress was aggressive, not friendly, irritable. At first she said there was no lunch box, then she said it had to be paid for.Account 1612, last name. Karimullin's waitress brought me a lunch box and threw it at me. I paid for it when I left. and I gave the draniki to the crows, they were not tasty. I will never go to this cute cafe with a rude waitress again.

We visited your cafe twice during our trip to Belarus. It is especially pleasant to have dinner outside in good weather. The portions are small, but delicious! Especially draniki and deruny. We took Pancakes with meat for ourselves and French fries with chicken schnitzel for the child. Everyone ate with pleasure. It was cooked quickly. The pancakes are juicy and very tasty. It was on 10/26/2024 . A place for an amateur . As for the atmosphere ( light , smell , decoration ) , so is the food . We were passing through for the first time , we got there because of the reviews and location ( probably outdated information already ) . Long serving, price-quality food, not friendly staff, all the cutlery is greasy... In general, it passes by 3 points out of 5 !

The food is delicious, this applies specifically to Belarusian cuisine. I tried everything except dumplings. I responsibly declare that my wife cooks (the same thing) 100,500 times tastier, but for catering standards. The room has the smell of an average pensioner's apartment, either because of the paraphernalia decorating the walls / shelves / ceilings, or the basement ..., the summer veranda saved the situation. The only thing that slightly confused me was the receptionist. A woman with a contraceptive face, dissatisfied with life and visitors, offended by fate, with a lack of communication culture (and in general, I think too) with customers.

A great, very atmospheric place, only for this you can put 5 stars. Quiet, clean and cozy. Polite and courteous staff. Perfectly cooked Caesar salad, always pleases, as well as cutlets. But the pork leaves much to be desired. I took different dishes several times and always came across the fact that she was tough and wiry. By the way, the pancakes are also excellent. The portions are large, which you can easily overeat. Thank you for the atmosphere and comfort!

A dark, cramped, cluttered room with antique interior items. Uncomfortable furniture. The kitchen is so-so. It's fine, but nothing extraordinary. Anyone who thinks that they are well fed there has simply not been to decent places with good cuisine. The waitresses fly past you, not interested: maybe we want something else, whether we liked it. As soon as we entered, the girl at the bar was not very happy with us. I had to convince her to find us a table. Now I regret it: I had to leave as soon as she gave out the "dishes", I will have to wait 30 minutes. In general, we haven't set foot there for the second time!

We were walking around Polotsk on March 8, and we wanted to drink coffee with a delicious dessert. There was a House nearby...... A dirty basement, everything in black, including the waiters. We ordered a cappuccino. They brought a burnt mess with added milk, it doesn't look like a cappuccino at all. The desserts are all stale and out of the same barrel -sickly sweet and sticky, obviously store-bought. The interior is unpleasant, and so is the service. I don't recommend it.

This is probably the only cafe (not self-service) in the world where, if there is a waitress, visitors have to run to the bar to mourn the bill. The main thing in this cafe is not the visitors, but the staff. For some reason, if there is a waitress, there are 2 more administrators who, by and large, must control the work of the staff, but they seem to be touched that the waitress ("mamkina Pryntseska") immediately at the entrance to the cafe of visitors begins to turn on the "Main" and lead "in full" what the visitor should do, where to go, where not to go, instead of just saying hello to begin with.
I can't say anything about the kitchen, we were there around lunchtime, and at that time there is a business lunch menu, and after a 3-hour walk through beautiful Polotsk, of course, you can admire the cabbage salad,

The menu consists of dishes of Belarusian cuisine. A lot of potatoes, fatty meat, vegetables, as if counting on a hungry person. A really hungry person will like it. Very tasty pancakes with pork rinds, as from the best cookbook, the crust crunches a little, but inside they are soft, in a hot frying pan with well-fried but quite chewy pieces of lard. Magnificent turds. A pancake made of mashed potatoes, folded in half, and finely chopped chicken fillet between the halves. All this is fried to a pink crust. I read about this cafe in one of the reviews, it was written that it was the best place in Polotsk... A few days ago, while staying in the city, it was decided to go there with my family for dinner. A complete disappointment. The dishes are very different from the type on the menu (at least what we ordered). The portion of salad was as stolen. I think you could put the whole portion on one spoon. When they took away the salad plate with the fork left in it, the waitress put it out of the plate on the table in front of me!!! I'm shocked, they didn't bring clean utensils for another dish, but put my fork on the table (not even on a napkin). Only my wife liked the taste of the pancakes (I don't remember exactly which ones). My daughter and I were disappointed to visit this institution. We usually leave tips, but this time, not even a hand was raised. Neither the kitchen nor the service deserved it. Something like this....

The biggest disappointment of Polotsk. There was a plan to visit three similar establishments in the city during a tourist trip. The institution is in the top according to reviews if you look at the map. The chefs should be ashamed of the dishes they served. Of all the ordered soups, only the soups turned out to be more or less edible. The level of dishes of the worst canteens in Minsk (am I an overeager snob?). The prices are quite Minsk in a medium-sized cafe. Caesar salad with hard chicken, with Russian cheese, with quail egg for 12p for me, my daughter got classic cutlets with mashed potatoes. The composition of these hard cutlets remained a mystery to me when I honestly tried to finish them with a child. It feels like everything is warmed up and not cooked. Even the super chicken pancake was initially pleased with its crust, until I reached the middle - a not very tasty substance leaked out. Black mushrooms may have been champignons in a previous life. I can't recommend this place. Perhaps the cooks in the kitchen were in a bad mood. We're sorry we didn't tell the girl who served us.

I don't understand where such a high rating comes from. Let's go eat pancakes with my husband. He had eaten them there a long time ago and was delighted. We came, as a result, a long serving, no one is smiling, the waiters are unfriendly and there was a feeling that they were doing us a favor, rude, they do not know how to apologize for their mistakes.
The food was all in mayonnaise, the pancakes turned out to be ordinary, very fatty, in Minsk in Cornflowers while my favorites, they mixed up part of the order (they asked for 1 salad, brought 2), they had to go themselves to pay, they thought for a long time, the girl who counted on us was constantly distracted, there was also some kind of commotion inside the staff.
Everything was terrible, the only plus they didn't spoil the beer, but fortunately it was protected from them by a bottle 😅

One of my favorite concepts is Belarusian cuisine. The design is appropriate. It is not poorly cooked, but it is not clear why it is long in time. Now the tar: the extractor hood in the kitchen does not work in all corners of the saturated cooking aroma. The most delicious draniki are here! It's not for nothing that excursions are brought here for lunch - dranik in Polotsk, pizza on dranik, draniki with mushrooms and in goshochka - for every taste! They took draniki in all establishments of Polotsk and Novlpolotsk - only in Damian they are like at home! We always bring guests from other cities here. They also have delicious hodgepodge, crambambula and desserts that are not frozen (though, if visitors have not sorted it out before)
