A quiet, beautiful historical place. After all, I.V. Stalin knew a lot about beauty, the views around fascinate with their beauty!
The cottage is in relatively good condition, but requires renovation. The premises located on the territory are dilapidated, but it's a pity…
The tour is interesting, it is better to take an individual one, thereby saving yourself from being accompanied by a crowd and calmly walk under the interesting story of the guide and feel the energy of the place.
You can take a ride on the chief's boat on the lake.
I rate the cottage itself, and the nature around, of course, by 10 points out of 5. It was 09/22/24, you can get there by any car, the road is good, the entrance to the cottage without an excursion is 250 rubles per person, if you just walk around the territory - for free. There is little furniture inside, the toilets in the bathrooms are pink (obviously not from the time of Stalin). It was the first Stalin's dacha that I visited - for general development, you can visit, but nothing, absolutely nothing special inside. The main thing that we did not regret coming is a beautiful free photo zone, free parking and catamaran rides. There are traffic jams in the main part of the Ritz, there are no free places to park the car at all, and if you find a place, it takes a long time to walk along the road to a place where you can take a catamaran, crowds of people, crowds, etc. And from the side of Stalin's cottage everything is much calmer, parking 50 m from the shore, photos from the lake are amazing. The cost of the catamaran is 500 rubles per person for half an hour, a child of 3 years old is free of charge. Not cheap, as it were, and a strange price tag (why from a person, and not for a watercraft? As if 1 person can rent and sail), I don't know how much it costs on the main shore of the Ritsa, probably also. But the catamaran is in excellent condition. You can also rent an electric catamaran. You can also ride on a wooden boat with scarlet sails. The photo area on the swing is for a fee. They sell citrus and pomegranate juices. 200p huge glass (delicious, not poisoned). There is a cafe 50m from the cottage, we did not go in, we did not eat. In general, if you want to park and ride in peace, then I recommend here.
It's worth a visit, I liked it, not so much "wow", but to be transported back to childhood just from the smell of antiquity is fun)
It's a beautiful area, it's a pity that they don't do much with it.
We were in September, we just wanted to walk around the territory and not visit the cottage itself, they charged us 250 rubles for being on the territory, so we decided to go to the cottage building too)))
A very big disadvantage is the toilets for visitors!!! They charge a person and can't make normal toilets!!! Of course, it's just a disgrace here!!!
And artificial flowers (like a photo zone) are also infuriating
The swing was plastered with them, some arches were erected (wedding)), phew ...
There is incomparable nature, and they spoil all the natural beauty with this!
A very iconic place for those who are just over 30 years old. The era of "the most elite holiday destination is Abkhazia, and in it the highlight is Lake Ritsa" here acquires a visible embodiment. It's a pity that not all the territory is well maintained and equipped. The cottage itself is maintained in its proper form, but the area around it is partially falling into disrepair. The fountain that is in the sight of tourists is working and more or less cleaned, and the one above and not in the walking area of excursions is broken and not working... However, as always, the legacy of the post-Soviet space on the territory of Abkhazia is a pity.
If you are driving your car, leave very early, before the excursions, so that you can admire nature. The road is long. Go straight up to the Ritsa Lake to Stalin's dacha. There is one cafe in which there were (at the time of our visit, July 2023) neither napkins nor Wi-Fi. There was one price for catamarans, but while we were in the cafe, "local entrepreneurs" appeared there and the price almost doubled! But they kindly provided a discount for the child... In general, when traveling in Abkhazia, do not expect to find good service, and if you do, then you are lucky. When there are no illusions, the nerves are healthier))
At first I just put 5 🌟
But this is not enough. The soul demands a story.
When you say Abkhazia, you put a sign in your mind = Stalin. And of course we decided to visit Stalin's Dacha on Lake Ritsa. A combo. 2 in 1.
But in fact 9 in 1.
While driving to point B. we stopped at other attractions: waterfalls, blue lake, glass bridge, German bridge, canyon and Lake Ritsa itself with a cottage.
Some waterfalls looked like strings by the end of August, but the Milk One was good.
Well, what... Stalin's Dacha itself.
I liked it despite the large number of tourists, running children and constantly parking cars. From all this, there is no unity with the place, you do not fully feel the atmosphere of the cottage. After all, this is a "secret" place in the mountains, far from the hustle and bustle. The territory is being cared for, renovated and redecorated. But they also add something that is not peculiar to this place. Swing with artificial flowers on the shore (photo ₽) well, what kind of swing with lilac flowers in the place of the bloody leader?!
Well, anyway ...
Entrance tickets 250₽ inspection + excursion. An interesting story about the life and lifestyle of the leader of the people. An ascetic part of the house, wood, fabric and tile finishes. In the part of the house where Khrushchev lived, there is already wallpaper and a completely stupid pink bathtub and toilet.
Definitely to visit, this is our story and it turned out to be interesting to be in a place where some significant decisions were made.
A great place to swim in privacy. On a catamaran . Lake Ritsa in all its glory. There are a minimum of people , there are no colorful shops with goods .
I was very pleased with this place . The tour of the cottage itself is modest , uninformative . But I liked the territory
If we evaluate Stalin's dacha, then it is 1-2 stars. The nature of 10 stars. They take money for everything, even for pictures on some rocks. The views are beautiful. There is no cottage itself. Everything that was killed a long time ago. And no one is interested in bringing this to mind. Although crowds of tourists go there all the time. What do they charge money for? At the entrance. Inside. And in general, wherever they should and shouldn't. The road is long and difficult. Especially when you're afraid of heights. There are stops along the way with observation "balconies", let's call them that. And interesting places. We went with the locals on an individual tour at our request. The place itself is wonderful. People are lazy and don't want to do better. Only by removing the foam from the buildings of nature and the buildings of previous years.
I love this kind of excursion. The history of the country was decided in such places. How much could these ancient objects tell us if they could talk. There have been several times. The interior of all Stalin's dachas is about the same. And the smell too. The guides all say about the same thing. It's interesting to listen. There is an opportunity to ride on Stalin's boat. The view of the lake and the mountains is beautiful. We went down from the cottage a little lower to the beach (where the destroyed structure of the original cottage is) and there is dirt, parking cars for money, an incomprehensible tent camp. But if you go further to the water, you will get a wonderful view of the mountain river that feeds the lake and the picturesque mountain landscape
If you are interested in the story, then you need to visit and see
The road is long and not easy
The place is very beautiful and quiet
After all, a cottage for the leader of the peoples!
Abkhazians are trying to keep everything in a more or less condition, but it feels like it doesn't work out completely .....
If in doubt, then go and see while there is an opportunity!!!
The tour is of course so-so and not much is shown
But you can touch everything)))
The atmospheric place, the view is just super, boating is not forgotten (special thanks to the CAPTAIN!) A little further than the observation deck, but there are much fewer people and this makes me personally much more comfortable!!!
One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. And it's not even the cottage itself that attracts more, but the place where it is located. How gorgeous nature is! If anyone wants to see the wonders of nature, come here. The lake in the mountains is really a beautiful sight. We stayed in different places and had fascinating views! I recommend you to visit. You need to see such beauty at least once in your life!
It's a very atmospheric place. Lake Ritsa is beautiful in itself, but the opportunity to see how our general secretaries rested (the cottage consists of a part built under Stalin and a part later added by Khrushchev and later converted by Brezhnev's wife). You can compare the approach to personal comfort itself.. I recommend it!
It's a great place. I advise everyone to have the opportunity to ride catamarans, listen to the tour and admire the beautiful view of Lake Rizo. I advise you to sit down
A wonderful place, a must-visit. The ticket price is 250 rubles (100 rubles for children under 12 years old) at the time of August 2024. The guide speaks interestingly, succinctly, and affordably. You can take pictures. Catamarans for 2000 rubles.
The place is very beautiful, you can see it once in the cottage itself. But we swam along the lake perfectly, thanks to the guide on the motor boat, he told us very well and showed us the beauty.
The tour went well! Only the ground floor , where he lived , was preserved from Stalin 's dacha . The rest was plundered , it 's even a shame ( the basement , where he played billiards and watched movies , was completely looted , almost everything was broken and left a lot of garbage ! In general, the house is falling apart ((( There are two more buildings nearby, you can go into one, it seems that workers lived there, everything is a mess inside this building, everything is broken, garbage is lying around, previously, according to records, the military lived there in 2000, who took care of everything (
I can always admire the beauty of the nature of Abkhazia. The General Secretaries and our Generalissimo I. V. Stalin was a great connoisseur of the beauties of nature (and maybe not him). Of course, the place requires reconstruction, namely reconstruction and not repair. Abkhazians are squeezing out the last "juices". If you like history, I recommend it. Only when the group of visitors is no more than 20 people and in 2022 the story was more meaningful and interesting to us than in 2024 - 60-80 people quickly and briefly. There is a buzz, a crowd of people, children, etc. I do not understand at all why children under 7-10 years old should be brought here, so they are not interested in it.
The cottage is still in good condition, but not well maintained due to the lazy nature of those who use it. The place is very beautiful. I recommend visiting a cafe right above the lake. We had a wonderful dinner right over the lake at sunset.
An interesting historical place. An interesting tour of Stalin's dacha. After the tour, we took a ride on a galley, an ideal boat trip for a photo shoot on the water.
It's a very atmospheric place. There are no shops, stalls and various souvenirs. And this is very good. So how to walk along the road with beautiful views. Come and see how Stalin lived.
Yes, it is a historically significant place!
But it did not cause much excitement. .. The tour is very weak....
In Sochi, Stalin's dacha is much more spectacular (not only visually, but also accompanied by a guide)!
The tour is delayed but interesting. In my opinion, the view of the lake is much better than from the observation deck. You can take a walk, get some fresh air.
The nature is certainly unreal, the fabulous beauty of Abkhazia is amazing!
The entrance to the reserve is already 700 rubles per person, when we arrived at the territory of the cottage, it turns out to be another 250 rubles, and it doesn't matter if you go on an excursion or just walk around.
The excursion to the museums itself is for one time and it is not long, the guide is smart - loud, clear, interesting!
The view of the Ritsa, the mountains is gorgeous
+ An interesting tour (for an architecture lover)
+ Very beautiful nature around
- It's a long way to go, and a walk across the entire territory takes 60-90 minutes
They brought their parents to Stalin 's dacha, took them tickets for an excursion and decided to walk around the territory themselves . They started telling us from the ticket office that you also have to take tickets to be on the territory or wait in the car and wait for your parents.
To which we replied, we were on a field trip a couple of years ago.At the entrance, we paid 700 rubles for each and we have the right to be in the adjacent territory, they began to prove the opposite to us.
In general, the mood was ruined
A very mysterious, secluded, beautiful place. Trout can be seen in the lake. The cottage is small and quite simple, but the location itself is very beautiful!
The place is super, it was already in the second half of autumn, nature struck, there is a small nuance the road to the cottage itself, there are no signs, especially surprised that the cottage is still an official object.
The Soviet government has a rich history. In this place you can visit Stalin's dacha, which is an interesting museum and preserves history. The cottage is surrounded by picturesque nature and Lake Ritsa.
The hair in the bathroom of Stalin and Khrushchev. Someone is washing and not cleaning. For some reason, they made ordinary faucets, killing the originality of the Soviet era. There are many things that are easy to repair (tiles, light switches, etc.), but they do not do this. The GUIDE simply reads out the learned minimum with an unpleasant facial expression saying that she is tired of all this and she is not happy to see you all. Actually, as in the whole of Abkhazia, the level of staff service leaves much to be desired.
If you drive yourself, then the road from Lake Ritsa is so-so, narrow.
According to the cottage itself, it is more correct to call it the remains of the cottage, since the main complex of the cottage burned down in the 60s and only a small part remained. There is nothing interesting there, 2 bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets are all, the second half of the building is already a Khrushchev building, there is also nothing interesting. If you expect to see some things there that Stalin used, then alas and ah, although no, you will see the beds on which he slept and that's it.
In general, if you hope to see something interesting, then this is not about this place, they just exploit the name of I.V. Stalin to make money.
An unexpectedly interesting place. There is a good road from Lake Rizza to Stalin's dacha.
The entrance/entry prices are unpleasant.. But on the whole, everything is fine. I recommend
It's a great place. For 250 rubles, you will be given a gorgeous tour and the opportunity to take pictures. But be careful with your return across Lake Rizzi, as there is a traffic policeman on duty at the pedestrian crossing and breeds many visitors for money, telling them that he did not miss pedestrians.
It's a great place. But in the season (we were at the end of August 2024), the people are decent. But it's worth it. Clean air. Fascinating views, everything is well maintained.
It's a good iconic place, but it feels like there's already a lot of new clothes. Excursion to the solid four. Nature is gorgeous. Definitely need to visit
It was nice to wake up in the morning in such a picturesque place, on the shore of Lake Ritsa, the water surface of which reflects the incredible beauty of mountains and clouds.
We went in July and really liked the tour and the place.I recommend you to visit and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past years. The views of the ritz are amazing.
I really enjoyed the tour. It was interesting to listen to the guide's girlfriend, clear, loud speech, gave a look around and until everyone came up, she did not start the tour. The cottage itself is interesting, different leaders, arrangement.
It's a great place. There is paid parking and a tour of the cottage. The cost is the same for all services. I advise you to visit. It's a very interesting place.
Nature is beautiful. The cottage was plundered and abandoned. Now, in order to attract tourists and make money, they are trying to support. The tour is a complete lie to justify where the non-authentic furniture and plumbing come from. They made fun of stories about Stalin's height of 1.54 (why this nonsense, it's easy to double-check you?) Conclusion: wasted money and time. If you go, only for the sake of nature.
This place is a must-visit if you come to Pitsunda, otherwise your trip to the sea was in vain. It is best to go in the morning, fewer cars and tourists.
I will immediately pass on to the comparison with the Sochi residence of I.V. Stalin.
The building complex itself has been more or less preserved, but the fountain no longer works on the territory, and what is being destroyed remains destroyed. Unlike Sochi, the past 30 years of Abkhazia's independence are on the face.
The quality of the tour varies dramatically, in 20 minutes they just superficially tell the main historical information and the history of the creation of the complex. In Sochi, they approach the material and its presentation in more detail.
With all this, I will put 5***** Since the place itself is simply amazing, Lake Ritsa and the local microclimate are something special!!!
There are a lot of Stalin's dachas throughout Abkhazia, unfortunately I cannot remember exactly how many, but in general all interesting and informative excursions to them.
I really enjoyed the tour. We were with a 9-year-old child, he listened very attentively to the guide. The guide Marianne told everything very interestingly. We recommend everyone to visit this place.
To be honest, we expected something more, it seemed that only beds and a table remained there from Stalin and Brezhnev)))) Although the girl had an interesting tour) The Ritz is beautiful)))) we regretted that we took the catamaran not from the cottage
The cottage is located on the territory of the reserve in a picturesque place on the shore of the lake. The Ritz. The views there are magnificent. Entry to the reserve in 2023 cost 700 rubles for an adult, children under 6 liters for free. Directly to the territory of the state dachas, another 200 rubles from adult onlookers. This amount includes a tour of the building of the dachas of Stalin, Brezhnev, Khrushchev and the current President of the Republic of Armenia, since the facility is still in operation. The facade asks for cosmetic repairs, but inside it is quite neat, albeit Spartan. The area is clean. For a walk on the lake, you can rent a catamaran. Boats are also available. Not far from the cottage on the shore there is a small cafe with the same compact menu. Wi-Fi catches directly at the entrance to the cottage. Joseph Vissarionych was never met...
A beautiful place and a Mecca for every tourist and traveler, there is a catamaran rental or a boat from the side of Comrade Stalin's dacha at the same price, a good cafe, among the disadvantages is a rapid change of weather, a strong pile of construction along the coast, a short catamaran rental time, you really have to work hard to meet the time frame of 30 minutes
A very interesting, colorful, beautiful and historically filled place! Many of the photos taken there are now on the desktops of my electronic devices. I really liked it ! 👍
