We rested at the hotel from 29.10-8.11 Everything was very pleasant, the location is gorgeous, on the left there is a turtle beach, on the right there are corals with fish. The ocean is clean, the sand is soft. There are really a lot of locals on weekends, they are very friendly, we left our shoes and glasses, went swimming and walking, everything always remained in place. On both sides of the hotel there are diving centers, there are Russian-speaking instructors. Down the street to the left for 10 minutes there is a fish and fruit market, there is a large selection of seafood that can be cooked right there. There are many supermarkets and souvenir shops within walking distance, you can easily find and buy anything. There are many restaurants, the food is decent everywhere, the price tag is about the same. The hotel is small but cozy. We had a room on the 1st floor, for some it was a minus, for us it was a big plus. The deck chairs were chosen right next to the room, and not if I forgot to go through the whole hotel. The room has everything you need, yes, as many write, slightly tired rooms, but clean, cleaning was every day. The safe was not used, documents, money, and phones were simply left on the bedside table or in a drawer. Nothing has ever been missed. The staff is very responsive, they always respond quickly to requests. The breakfasts were decent, we had enough and it was delicious. We fell in love with Sri Lanka, with our hotel. I still have very positive emotions. We will come again❤❤❤
The hotel has one plus, it's a gentle ocean, and that's all the advantages are over!!!!!!
We stayed at this hotel from 20.01 to 30.01.25. The hotel is playing an interesting game with Russian tourists that you don't want to come back here anymore. We had a day flight, we got to the hotel at 12 a.m. and the fun started. I bought a tour with a room from 22 meters with a terrace or balcony. Upon arrival, we are accommodated in a 10-meter room without a balcony or terrace, and even the window does not open. The smell of dampness is such that it is impossible to breathe there, guards are sitting on chairs outside the window and chatting merrily all night. The old bed linen is a disgusting gray with spots of color. There was no desire to stay in such a room. They told us at the reception, sorry, everything is busy and we don't know anything about the room you paid for in Moscow. I made a scene and said that I would sleep here on the couch or give me the room we paid for. The friend who greeted the guests immediately stopped understanding English. The tour operator did not respond, neither did the welcoming party, and the hotel management sent us far and for a long time. Come back at 10 a.m. we'll figure it out. We didn't sleep all night, the stench of dampness and mold was bothering us, and the dirt in the room was just a mess. Obviously, they do this on purpose so that we are ready to do anything just to move to another room. In the morning at 10, we were turned around again with the words there is no management, come at one o'clock, and then I started to sort things out with them again. It turned out that there is another room in the same building, they showed us, but they say while it is occupied, wait for the administrator. As a result, at one o'clock in the afternoon, a man appeared who began to tell us a story about the fact that they had problems with big problems. That the hotel has sold more rooms than it has and we cannot check you into the room you paid for, but for $ 160 they will be happy to check into the supposedly superior in another building, but that's not all, but if you eat out today and spend one night in any other hotel, then tomorrow you will receive this superior for free. The whole damn scheme. To be honest, few people will agree to move out and then return to carry suitcases back and forth. I paid and we were moved to a room supposedly superior, but in fact it was the room I paid for in Moscow, a large room with a terrace and access to the sea. People don't write reviews about the hotel, the beach and the turtles, write about the hotel itself. What to see in the area can also be viewed on third-party resources. The old 74-year-old hotel, everything is so tired, it's just a horror, it's 1 star, honestly, there are no 3 speeches. The kitchen is as lucky as the shift, 2 days acceptable and 2 days everything is spicy and not tasty. You can take a maximum of breakfast, I don't say anything about a trip with children to this hotel. There's such filth everywhere and such a smell of trash from the restaurant that I don't recommend it. I saw a picture of a mother giving the child everything she could and the child wanted to eat, tried everything, but couldn't eat anything. There was a shift when everything was spicy. I do not recommend this hotel from the word at all. I don't understand why people write good reviews at all. The room we were accommodated in was 411, this building stinks of dampness, but we were moved to the building above reception 139. Everything is clean there, both bedding and mattresses, and for some reason only Europeans live there, and our tourists were all led to that old and squalid building. And every morning, the same picture was being tried in every possible way to change or move to other rooms. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country, feel free to go there is something to see. The hotel sucks.
I read about the hotel on the Net. It was a little scary to go. In fact, this hotel is not bad. We liked it. Everything is at a good level. No one suggested it. It is necessary to take breakfasts and dinners. Wear decent clothes. Music in the evening. Good. The food is wonderful. I've been here for 5 days. For 2 days we ate at the eateries recommended on the Internet. It's terrible! For an amateur, like railway, crazy bus, tuk-tuks. This is difficult for us. Opposite the Pizza Hut, it's normal. For a snack. Liquor stores... Choose from a list or whatever you ask, if you know. Lion beer, like everywhere else, is normal. Calipso rum is sweet but fragrant. There are "supermarkets" on the opposite side to the left and right. Don't expect it! Strange shops. Everything reminded me of the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Tunisia, and China. But we liked this hotel with all the Asian features and not the neatness, not the sleek look. Like in Spain, manjana, in Tae sabai-sabai, and everywhere tomorrow! It's not dangerous! Ocean, air, heat, humidity! You can buy everything for washing in the shops. Pharmacies are great! I accidentally threw away some of the pills for life. I bought it without any problems. Indian ones. Expensive. 3 times or more with Russian ones. Have a good rest and stay! Good luck! I hope the tips will be useful!
