I lived in the Corral for 1 week in June 2019. Among the advantages is a safe area, relatively clean around, excellent breakfasts (but coffee powder), a summer cafe pavilion with a hookah on site, individual characters from the staff speak English. There is even a girl at the reception who is responsible for the development of tourism at the level of a personal guide to Baghdad and gives recommendations on places of interest.
Among the disadvantages: the complete absence of TV channels in the room in English and especially in Russian, the construction site next door (they start working from 06:30, there is no heat yet, but this applies only to the left wing). The rooms are decent, cleaned every day, the minibar is free (found out on the last day). Card payments are complicated, preferably in cash - USD or dinars.
