Good afternoon!
I was in Goa and India for the first time.
I lived in this hotel from 05.04 to 20.04.2025. The rooms are simple, no frills, but everything you need is available.
At first, there was a room without air conditioning, I survived without it for 2 days (I live in the Far North, in the city of Norilsk, and I can't stand the constant heat). For a reasonable surcharge, I moved into an air-conditioned room and life became absolutely wonderful!
Great clean beach, warm Arabian Sea.
The restaurant of this hotel is a separate topic! Absolutely everything I've tried is delicious. I recommend masala with shrimp, chicken and fish. Chinese dishes are also very well prepared here (especially with shrimp), and also try the Italian breakfast. In general, feel free to try everything on the menu, you won't regret it! For lovers of spicy food, I recommend starting with a "medium" sharpness level (I was just fine with the sharpness). The restaurant staff is always friendly and courteous. The waiter who almost always served me speaks a little Russian (hello and many thanks to him for his work!).
Check-out from the hotel at 11:00, but I was leaving at 15:30 (I had a late flight). The head of the hotel kindly allowed me to stay until that time at no extra charge (thank you very much!).
Summary: Frankly, the expectations were worse than they actually are. But Arambol is about good people, a wonderful atmosphere, a clean beach and a warm sea - isn't that happiness? Feel free to come to this hotel, it's actually a good place. However, do not forget that this is India, with its own peculiarities! Just relax and don't pay attention to the little flaws and everything will be fine! Zen for everyone!
It's dirty. The kitchen is good, but the guest house is attached to a cafe with dirty rooms. The cafe is located near the road, where there are a lot of bikes. The sea is nearby, but the view of it is through a boat on the beach. In other cafes nearby, the food is cheaper and the sea view is more beautiful
We were on April 13, we read good reviews that right on the beach (which is true). We were brought by bus and dropped off 2 kilometers from the hotel, they said wait for them to come for you. We waited for 40 minutes in the heat right on the road, there were 4 people in this hotel. The owner arrived in a small car, three people with suitcases barely got in, and one girl was left waiting for the next flight. We arrived at the hotel at 10, we were told to wait until 12, okay, we waited, we asked to see the room in advance, but they wouldn't let us in. In general, the horror continued, we had been to Morjim 3 times in India before that 2 times, so we knew where we were flying, we knew that there would be no air conditioner and refrigerator in the room, but that it would be a dirty 15-meter kennel with smeared walls, either with blood, or with the letter G, in short we were shocked. They refused to move in, the owner immediately changed, started shouting something, demanded to speak English, although everything is clear. Then a representative from the tour operator came and some managers began to assure that it was okay, and the representative supported them and not us. As a result, we were moved to another hotel a little further from the sea, but at least it was clean and there was a refrigerator and a kettle. We flew back on April 23, at 3 a.m. we were supposed to be picked up from the hotel and taken to the bus. A message came from a representative that the owner of that vile hotel would pick us up, we went out on the road to the car, but when he saw us he started yelling again and said that he would not be lucky, they started calling the representative, said that he had to take us. He didn't take us and left, we stayed on the road at night, about 20 minutes later the owner of the hotel where we were moved drove up on a scooter and took us to the bus twice. In general, I categorically do not recommend COCONUT, there are hotels nearby that are much cheaper with
air conditioning, but most importantly clean with adequate owners. This situation has spoiled the rest a little, most likely we will not fly to India anymore. I give one star for the location of the hotel, I don't know about the cafe, we basically didn't eat there, I can't provide photos, because I took a short video of this room out of emotion. Have a good rest, everyone.
