The advantages were room cleaning (free water, tea, coffee), clean enough (though not 100%). The location is 15 minutes from the metro. The disadvantages were a large number of Indian-Pakistanis (which affected the food at breakfast) and small requests (there is no way to leave food if the mini fridge did not interfere and you will not find a vase for flowers there). At the time of my stay, there was a repair of the pool (((, and the transfer to the sea is more like a mockery, given that it was not the season, but still half of the sufferers of salt water could not fit (even if you are taken at 9 am, they will pick you up at one, which is terrible. This is the third time in this hotel. The last time was 5 years ago . Nothing much has changed . But the hotel already needs to be restored, furniture, curtains, etc. changed. They clean well. If you don't like the room (it smells like smoking or noisy, then they change it without any problems), we were checked in at 11-00 o'clock, without additional payment. The room was also changed immediately, because the first room smelled of smoke.
The hotel is in the Indian district, if you want more European contingent and a more modern atmosphere, then it is better to take a hotel closer to the center and the beach.

There are a huge number of Indians in the hotel, including the staff. Everyone is friendly. The bus takes you to La Mer beach (there are no sunbeds), this is a public beach. The bus is small, until everyone gets on, the driver will not be lucky, who did not have enough space - to get out. I didn't see the second bus.
The metro stop is about 1.5 km away. There are a lot of good supermarkets nearby, there is a market with alcohol, there really needs to be a card with a foreign passport. There is a cool store in the same building, there is ready-made food (European) and a microwave.
I wouldn't go to a hotel with small children! The beaches are far away, it's far to walk to the subway with children, it would be expensive to take a taxi every day! But my husband and I were OK together, it's not bad to walk, because there was no intense heat (+ 25C in the morning).

Breakfast was from 06.30-10.00, quite varied: salads, greens, fruits, vegetables, scrambled eggs, sausages, cereals, baked goods, etc. You could choose juices, tea and coffee from the drinks. The staff service is polite. The view from the window was on another window of the neighboring building. A small minus is the air conditioner, where it was impossible to adjust the temperature, but only turn it off. The set temperature was about 18-19 degrees. There is also a free shuttle service to La mer beach, but we got there by ourselves.

Location: good, the metro is about 7-10 minutes away. There are many shops nearby. Burj Khalifa is about 30 minutes away. The area and the hotel are mostly inhabited by Hindus.
Transfer: to the beach (it is better to arrive in 5 minutes) and to the Dubai Mall.

Housekeeping is Dubai's weak point, as I understand it. I read that many hotels have a similar problem, we also had it. There were no complaints about the room, but in the bathroom they found a black hair right on the wall on a white tile when checking in (I'm blonde if anything), well, it's hard not to notice the white/black contrast. They also always clarified on cleaning that towels needed to be changed, as they could have forgotten about it.
Again, considering the star rating of the hotel, I think it's fine (except for cleaning, but it's the same and it's found in 5 stars).

Regarding the Citymax Business Bay Dubai hotel: the level of amenities, food and service is no more than 3*, there is definitely nothing to do with children here, the pool and gym (if you can call it that) are just for show, the food is extremely meager and not varied - a lot of stale and stale products, in particular, I strongly advise not yoghurts open in bowls, not closed in thermal packaging, sliced fruits/vegetables/cheese and pieces of "shawarma" - definitely everything that is not eaten for dinner gets for breakfast in the form of such dishes, tea and coffee are only packaged and of the worst quality - it is better to take with you in advance, because otherwise you will have to drink dust with boiling water. Special attention should be paid if you decide to use the services of the hotel and, for example, the laundry - in particular, in my case, I was spoiled by a brand new T-shirt that I bought the day before and gave it to the laundry, while at the time of the request, the hotel employee carefully filled out the order form, examined every thing - made a remark about the trousers that I I wanted to take them to the laundry and refused to accept them - I did not argue, because in addition to the T-shirt, I handed over a few more things, while when the things were returned to me, it was the new T-shirt that was not washed and the presence of some kind of marriage was indicated, although I repeat again - the thing was exactly new, never washed and not dressed, while initially the reason was not really explained to me, but during the trial it turned out that there was a small but easily distinguishable and noticeable hole on the T-shirt right in the belt area, which is clearly visible when in contact with the body and, accordingly, I would not have missed it in any way in the store when I measured the thing in front of the mirror (I think everything at the time of fitting, they unravel themselves in a new thing from all sides) - I tried to clarify this point with the hotel, but they were all cut down at me and/or marriage in the store, but categorically refused to admit guilt for its staff or Laundry - although it's just obvious, especially given the diligence demonstrated by a member of staff, when they took it in the wash and how carefully he watched and as I have above described refused to take some of the pants (they were no longer new, and apparently there was a risk of tissue damage, since they are made of linen and had traces of wear, and given that I needed promptly and efficiently to wash, dry and iron was the risk of injury in a tumble dryer), I tried several times to draw the attention of your Manager that, if the presence of a hole initially it was easily noticeable and me and the member of staff and this information could be made in the order form or you can refuse to wash, but this argument was not heard, so I tried to find out from the representative of the property, as they can prove that the original was a marriage on a t-shirt, if it is not reflected in the order form on the issue of the answer is not followed - staff only confidently asserted that it was my fault or the fault of the store, while my question is why didn't they contact me in time when I found out about the existence of marriage - explained very simply by the lack of me in the room, though at the time of registration you are required to take a phone number bound messenger and clarify whether this number to contact Dubai (these little things the staff did not pay attention and continued to insist that didn't notify me solely because of the lack of room) - T.
