It's amazing how in a year you can turn such a wonderful place into a real homeless shelter. I was at this hostel in April 2019. It was clean and cozy. Everyone who worked at the hostel was friendly, immediately solved all issues, did not want to leave, the atmosphere was so sincere there. When it became necessary to stay somewhere in Belgrade for a short time, there were no options even, only City Zen. I drove with the joyful expectation of meeting nice people, I even saved small souvenirs for them. But it turned out that the staff had changed. It became clear immediately that everything had changed for the worse. Dirty tables, dirty floor, a mountain of unwashed dishes. The administrator did not react to my appearance in any way, he continued to go about his business. When I approached the counter, a bitten shawarma was placed on the papers in front of me. We communicated through her. It was possible to pay with a card for accommodation only with the help of Alexander's manager. There is an unpleasant smell in the bedroom, despite the working ventilation and the door open to the street, dirty floor. The guests do not take off their outdoor shoes. They didn't give me towels. For some reason, they did not understand for a long time, or rather, they did not want to understand what I needed. Yes, I don't speak any languages other than Russian. But this has never been an obstacle in my travels to different countries. Moreover, I still know the word towel. But the administrator just did not want to understand the guest's problems, he said: In English, please. He just turned away and walked away.At the end of my stay, manager Alexander literally threw me out the door, demonstrating his displeasure in every possible way. It is a pity that such a wonderful hostel was destroyed. Now I don't recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place!
