I wanted to see the Formula 1 race, as this track has not been on the calendar for a long time. The trip was generally normal. However, others have experienced long delays. I have 2 very big comments about the track. Both can be reduced to the fact that we were not prepared for the number of people who would come. First: the movement of people. We had seats in the chicane... access to it was via a bridge over the track from the "village of fans". Because the bridge was narrow with two-way traffic, and the inability or complete lack of attention on the part of the stewards, an organized queue was allowed to infiltrate the hordes simply walking along the side of the road ahead. As a result, we spent almost 2 hours trying to take our seats. Secondly: the number of food/beverage outlets was sufficient to serve about 10% of the crowd. I, like a very large number of my fellow race visitors, will not be coming back.
