The Church of All Nations or the Basilica of Agony is a Catholic Franciscan church, built in 1924 by the Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi.
In front of the altar of the Church of All Nations there is a stone on which, according to legend, Jesus Christ made his last prayer on the night of his arrest before "drinking the cup of suffering."
The construction of the church was funded by Catholic communities from many European countries, as well as from Canada, after which it got its name. The open altar, located in the garden of the church, is used by Christians of various denominations, including Catholics, Orthodox, Armenian Gregorians, Protestants (Lutherans, Evangelicals, Anglicans). The temple is always in semi-darkness, in memory of the fact that the events to which it is dedicated took place at night.
A huge domed vault opens inside the Church of All Nations. There is a large crucifix behind the altar. The mosaic above the altar depicts the "Gethsemane prayer", flanked by scenes of Judas kissing, "The Betrayal of the Savior" and "The Taking of Christ into custody".
I will add from myself that the Church is located in the Garden of Gethsemane...Those who are interested in history, from the biblical side, can learn a lot for themselves. And the mosaics themselves are worth looking at in reality!
A very good strong church Come and pray the priest will absolve you of your sins there is the power of the Lord And everything in your life will get better
