Cool historical filming location *Diamond Hand*. There is always an endless stream of tourists in this location, and in the shop where Ruslan, a wonderful guy, kindly provides luxury souvenirs in memory of Baku and household items with symbols of Azerbaijan, we bought gorgeous souvenirs! It's a great place and you definitely need to visit the Diamond Hand cafe of the same name nearby with very hospitable hosts. Excellent, delicious, homemade cuisine and homemade pomegranate wine will delight its visitors! We recommend it, my wife and I visited in early April, and we hope to return soon and get even more impressions of Baku and its surroundings.

We came from Minsk and visited this institution on 03/21/2025. It's a terrible cafe. The hosts do not care about sanitation, the quality of food and the comfort of the guests. They earn money at the expense of a legendary place, but they didn't care about anything else. The tablecloths are dirty and smoky, and it is impossible to eat dolma and kutaba. Even feeling hungry, I couldn't finish the dolma. Well, the "cherry on the cake" is bread with a green mold. When I showed it to the waitress, she didn't even apologize. I just changed it and that's it. People, go around this cafe, such establishments should be closed, and the owners should go bankrupt due to the lack of guests. It will be a fair outcome for them.

Well, what can I say? A cult place for Soviet and post-Soviet people who grew up watching Gaidai's comedies! The grandson of the grandmother who owned this building, which has grown into a pavement, is now managing there. Except for the souvenir shop (which is very diverse, by the way) It turns out there is a courtyard where remakes of the Diamond Hand are still being filmed😂

Good day! Today we came across this cafe purely by chance. We didn't plan to go in, but the annoying man at the entrance started talking through his teeth so that we would definitely go inside. After all, the cafe has its own history. The prices are above average, but it is understandable, because the city center. The menu is sparse. My husband decided to try the local hinkal and took tea. They bring us a miracle dish, minced meat and spices on top and a bunch of ANTS, right in the plate in the meat itself. To be honest, it was such a shock that we shot ourselves. We called the waiter to take this ant farm away from us. I didn't even touch the tea, it was so disgusting that I wanted to leave as soon as possible. No one came up to us and apologized. I couldn't stand it and called the administrator myself. A woman came up, said she was aware of the situation and that was it. I tell her that maybe, as an apology, tea (10 manats) will be at the expense of the establishment, which was not drunk. Nope... It's not supposed to be like that. That is, it's supposed to be completely unsanitary in a cafe, but they're not supposed to apologize!
I do not recommend this place to anyone if you do not want to spoil your impression of the beautiful city of Baku. We just have a residue left.

Dirt, unsanitary conditions: the tablecloth is crumpled, dirty, burned with a cigarette, I asked to change the fork with traces of dried food (I asked to replace it - they immediately replaced it with a smile, but there were 0 apologies, like "what's wrong?") dolma is disgusting, pomegranate wine is an alcoholic drink based on cheap pomegranate juice, alcohol and sugar. The figures of movie characters are ugly. They look at you and ask, "Why did you go to these dirty crooks?"

We couldn't help but visit this place, as we lived near the place where the "legendary film" was filmed. The room is small, the film "the diamond hand" is being played, the figures of the actors. They took dolma, fried dumplings and something like chicken tobacco. The most delicious is dolma. It's definitely worth visiting this place once, it's still interesting.

We went on the recommendation to drink a glass of homemade pomegranate wine and eat some fruit, for which we paid 42 manats. Ripping off, it's a shame.
Fruit plate - two chopped apples and one pomegranate. There is no wine on the menu, if you don't ask the price, you won't find out. We didn't ask and were shocked by the bill.
The women at the next table were also sure that they had been cheated.
So I recommend going in only for entourage and photos, the rest can be found much cheaper and tastier.
