BE VERY CAREFUL! Alexander Kovtun is not a surgeon, but a BUTCHER.
This story is about how we got on the money and almost cut off a dog's paw. There were only good impressions about this clinic until the moment when the difficult one came to the "treatment" to the "surgeon" Alexander Kovtun. At the end of April, my dog broke his paw. My husband and I brought the dog to Alexander for surgery. He convinced us that the fracture in the dog is incredibly difficult and that it is impossible to install a plate for it, but only spokes can be installed. I listened to him. It was necessary to act and I did not look for other doctors and there was no reason to doubt Alexander's competence at that time. The dog did not step on the paw after the operation. Although Alexander did not miss the opportunity to show videos from past operations of his wards, who cheerfully and cheerfully ran on spokes. Now I have doubts whether he really carried out those operations, after which the wards ran so merrily. But not the point. Again, we were convinced that it was a very difficult fracture. That the dog doesn't step on its paw because it has a broken nerve. Which also turned out to be untrue. In general, due to our own stupidity, we listened to this "doctor" for six months. During this time, they constantly came to do X-rays, monitored the condition of the fracture. Which, for some reason, could not grow together in any way. For 4 or 5 months of "treatment", the dog took out the spokes by itself (no wonder, it took so long to suffer). We took her for an X-ray. Where we were told that we need to walk for some more time. Alexander even voiced the idea that if a dog does not use a paw and does not step on it, then let's cut it off. At that moment, I began to realize who we had come to. As a result, when we came back for an X-ray a month later, to another clinic, it turned out that the dog's joint had worn off. And there were two options: either to do arthrodesis (put a plate and completely immobilize the joint, while the paw will always be in the same position) or amputation of the limb. Through the joint efforts of caring people, an amount of about 150,000 rubles (4,500 rubles) was collected in a short time and I took the dog to St. Petersburg to the Sotnikov clinic. I consulted with several surgeons from different cities and many did not even want to take on this case, because everything was already very bad in the pictures. As a result, upon arrival in St. Petersburg, an X-ray was taken, where it was found that the joint was completely destroyed and could not be restored. During the operation, it turned out that everything was so bad that lysis began - the dog's bone began to dissolve, pus was found. Surgeons at the Sotnikov clinic (many thanks to Levinson) performed an operation to install the plate and performed arthrodesis. But immediately after the operation, the bone broke - it could not withstand the load. After consulting with Levinson, it was decided to compete for the paw. On the same day, doctors took the dog for a second operation and reinforced the structure with knitting needles and saved the paw from amputation. One of the noteworthy things: the dog immediately began to lean on his leg after he was taken out to me. Sotnikov's clinic took over all expenses for the second operation. To my question about why the fracture could not heal in six months, a clear answer was given - the design of the spokes, which was installed by Alexander Kovtun, was unstable. The spokes could not sufficiently fix the fracture site and the bone was constantly rubbing and dangling. And after the spokes were pulled out, the process of erasing the knee joint began already. All this time, the wrong treatment turned out to be and we were brainwashed, coming up with tall tales at the Chucky clinic. V.I. Levinson said that it was possible to safely install the plate. And that would solve all the problems. The paw would have healed properly and the dog would have led a full life. And yes, several doctors checked the sensitivity of the paw with me, and lo and behold! The nerve is fine! Nothing was broken. What I want to say is that Alexander's incompetence cost our family a lot of money and even more nerves. If your pets are important to you, go around it the tenth way. The best clinic is Kiwi in Tbilisi. Don't be lazy, go there. And I will resolve the issue by going to court. I have all the conclusions.
