Noise insulation in this hotel is apparently completely absent. The railway is 10 meters from the window. I am glad that trains run at extended intervals at weekends at night. But they didn't let me sleep in the morning. Some drunken Germans ran around the corridors in their underpants all evening and made noise both nights, not letting them sleep. The music from the bar was a special pleasure... Because only low frequencies are heard and on the second floor there was a feeling that someone was hammering with a hammer from below. We didn't visit the bar itself, I can't say anything more. The staff is friendly. The Internet is good. The room is tiny, a little more than two single beds. A hair dryer!!! It is in room 135, bolted to the wall, but could not be used, there is no outlet. The room at the entrance was very cold, the battery and heated towel rail were turned on, and the room warmed up in the morning. A block away from the hotel, towards the center, there is a large lidl supermarket, with good prices.
What to say. You can expect more from a hotel in Germany (even a 3-star one). Old shabby rooms. In general, the old woman is a Corpse. The price tag is insanely charged, but it's understandable. The hotel is within walking distance from Cologne Messe.
