We, pensioners from St. Petersburg, made a wonderful trip to Uzbekistan: Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara in the period of 27.10 – 1.11.2024. We are very pleased with the socio-economic success of the state, from the respectful attitude of people towards tourists, from the courtesy and pleasant attention of staff in hotels and museums, shops and bazaars, meeting and escorting drivers and flight attendants on board Uzbek Airlines liners. Thanks to the staff of the tour operator Central Asia Travel for the excellent organization of the route and a pleasant vacation along the route for older people. Special thanks to the excellent guide T. Kamulitdinov. A highly trained guide. He knows the history. He presents historical material unobtrusively and objectively. Timur is respectful and attentive, caring and helpful. Many thanks to Uzbekistan. Happy New Year to the people of the country, success and prosperity. New Year's greetings to all the organizers of our tour.
We were in Uzbekistan from 09. 03 to 14. 03. 2025.
We would like to thank the tour guides: Rakhmat Akmalov and Khalide Ablaev. The tours were conducted with an individual approach, the guides are attentive, responsive, highly qualified, deeply knowledgeable about the history of their country.
Thank you for the wonderful excursions in Tashkent and Samarkand!
We had a great time!
I went on an Orient Express tour of Uzbekistan from this company - Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva.
The tour organization is terrible.
The biggest disadvantage of organizing a trip is that everyone's tours end at different times: someone left Bukhara, someone from Khiva, and at different times. Therefore, all excursions ended by the time the first tourists left. In Bukhara it was 13:00, in Khiva it was 12:00. The rest of the time, tourists are on their own. Yes, the proximity to all the sights in these cities allowed you to walk and see on your own. However, not all places could be reached without a ticket. And while visiting these places, there was no free time – again, because of the need to finish the tour early.
The guide, on the whole, more or less, although she was very often confused in her stories, "jumped" from one to another and forgot what she had said earlier.
On the first day in Tashkent, they gave me a key to a room that someone had already lived in. They apologized and gave me a "suite" - the room is huge, but with unfinished repairs, the shower is barely watering, there is no kettle and no drinking water. The next day, they were moved to a normal room.
Upon arrival in Tashkent from Urgench on the last day of the tour, we could not find the person who was supposed to meet us at the airport. Well, the local taxi drivers helped – they called the company (we had contact details), but the responsible manager said that she did not know anything and needed to call the head of the transport department, who, according to the classics of the genre, did not answer the phone. As a result, after several calls to the manager, she still found a greeter and sent him to us. As a result, half an hour was lost, and we arrived around one o'clock in the morning. The driver who drove us to Urgench airport decided to compete with another car during the trip, which did not let him pass on the road. As a result, a series of mutual "clipping", pulling away and pressing. This is not acceptable with tourists in the car. The hotels on the tour are below average, and the breakfasts are two–star.
