1) 50 euro for VW Golf with mechanic transmission per day (without insurance) - it’s too expensive for such a simple car
2) 600 euro deposit using hold on the credit card - are you serious?
3) I had to wait for at least one hour before I started processing all papers with a manager - he was busy with other clients and there were no other ones, it was Saturday afternoon
4) On the next day I hit a pothole with my front wheel, stopped the car on the nearest parking and called a manager and asked if I can have some assistance. He replied that it’s Sunday and their service doesn’t work and suggested to handle this problem on my own. Moreover, at the moment I had only one hour to deliver the car back to office and had to hurry up because they close at 3 PM (I never had a flat tire before so I had to spent some time figuring out how to do it, but thanks to my friend who gave me vulcaniser service number). It was really stressful
5) Next time I had a ride with a friend who rent a car here as well. During the way on the highway it turned out that washer fluid for a front glass is empty and we can’t clean it up (it was covered by dead insects), so we had to wait until the nearest gas station. We hoped to find some rag or sponge inside the car, but (surprise) there was nothing, we had to buy it as well as to fill the tank with washer
I had an experience with quite a lot of car rent services and this one is the worst, i do not recommend to rent a car here
The process of renting a car is quite convenient. But in general, not without adventures:
1. The car was delivered 30 minutes later than the required time.
2. The deposit to the card is refunded 10-15 days
3. Damage to the car is incredibly expensive)
4. Registration of an incident is required to cover damage by insurance.
Unfortunately, I had damage during the return that I did not know about, it was scratched without my participation. A small scratch on the wing cost 200 euros.
