This is the third time I have visited Sri Lanka, and compared to previous trips, I think I have chosen the best option. A great little hotel. Competent architecture, comfort for life. A rare quality for Sri Lanka - there are enough sun beds and pools for all residents. Beautiful clean sandy beach in front of the hotel. Well-trained, competent, very friendly staff. Daily cleaning with a change of linen. Excellent cuisine with a huge selection of both local and European dishes (which is very rare in those places) Excellent location - in the center of a tourist area with an abundance of shops and restaurants around. The price corresponds to the quality. I recommend
Gorgeous beach, grounds and pools. We thought there would be strong waves, but no, the sea was very warm and calm. That's all. The hotel has 2 buildings, old and new, they settled in the old one, everything in the room is covered with snot, the handles and latches are falling off, the furniture is old, the balcony door barely opens, and so on. But the most important thing is how they fool around in the bar!
Let's have lunch, the food is delicious, but adding another 30 percent to the already rather high prices is too much! As a result of lunch, we are offered to write down the amount on the number and happily bring our bill and some kind of left for a bottle of beer for 900 rupees. The amount is small, of course, but what the fuck? We signed only our own account, and categorically refused an outsider.
We had a night check-out and, as we sensed the booty, we went to the reception in advance to close the account, and bingo! We have been credited with another account for 2,800 rupees already! They blinked, pretended they didn't understand, and asked for payment. It's good that the bar was still open and we were able to demand to see this bill with a signature, but if we went to sort it out at one o'clock in the morning when the bartenders were gone?? !!
Ugh, it's so unpleasant, they tried to stab us twice in one day, and it was also so stupid.
In short, the whole impression was ruined.,
We returned today and spent several days at the hotel. You shouldn't expect much from this hotel, but there are also advantages - rich buffet breakfasts, everything is very clean, and the rooms are beautifully cleaned, and the pools are clean.
Among the disadvantages - the smell of mold (this is a problem for almost all hotels), strong humidity in the room (I read somewhere that they put dehumidifiers, there is no one here), nothing dries at all, the panties dried for 3 days))
And most importantly, do not take dinners at the restaurant if they are not included!
Expensive + they included 3 more points in the bill - tips, VAT, and something else, we did not understand. The check has doubled in size!
But right in front of the beautiful cafe ammehula, it's very tasty there!
The food is good, it doesn't matter if the Russians are settled, you need to require compliance with the voucher and relocation to a better room. The air conditioners are not working well
The presence of a swimming pool, beach towels is a big plus
I stayed at the hotel in November 2022. The room had a balcony and an ocean view. For 3* stars, the hotel is super! They clean it very clean every day. They change towels every day, while leaving extra ones. The food is very tasty. On weekends there is a buffet, on weekdays according to the menu. The menu is very beautiful and delicious. Sun beds with mattresses and huge towels, the shower at the entrance from the ocean worked perfectly. There were no Russians in the hotel. Mostly Europeans and locals come to celebrate something on weekends. The staff solved all the issues very quickly (surprisingly for these countries). Everything worked in the room. They gave shampoo, gel, body milk. There is a jewelry store opposite, there is a good exchange rate for currency exchange. Fruits were provided by watermelons, passion fruit, papaya, bananas, there was always enough and everything was fresh. We were very satisfied with the hotel. There are no sunbeds on the beach, only at the hotel. Everything is nearby. We had waves all the time, we swam every day. The Europeans are only in the pool.
I'll put a solid four! There is a private beach, two small pools, a green modest area. Rooms for 4. The air conditioner has not been cleaned for so long - it makes noise, rattles and cools moderately.
The food on the buffet is mostly Indian (I don't like it, it doesn't taste good to me). The pool bar serves good cocktails and you can have a nice snack (we took a chicken roll with potatoes in a rustic way). To relax here, I would not recommend it, we needed to spend the night after arrival (near the airport) and before the upcoming excursion.
It's expensive, the rooms are small, only local locals in the hotel and on the beach - you walk like a white crow. The beach is not equipped at all, they did not dare to swim. The only advantage is the proximity to the airport. But it's definitely not worth the money.
There are a lot of locals, the breakfast is quite varied, the room is not large, the bathroom has mold and smells of sewage, the sink leaked. It will go for a day, but the price does not match the quality.
A luxury hotel. Very good breakfasts. Nice area with 3 pools. There are always enough sun beds. The staff is polite, but like all Lankans they are slow.
