Sichuan is rich in interesting places. One of them is the Big Buddha in Leshan. We traveled with our daughter from Chengdu by high-speed train, followed by a taxi for 30 yuan. A large park. For convenience, panoramic buses "run". Everything is clean, tidy, and accessible. The Buddha himself is a miracle! I advise everyone to visit. We chose a walking tour from the head to the feet of the Buddha. There is a boat trip past the Buddha.
An interesting place. You can view it from 3 points. Directly from the balcony in front of the Buddha, from the ship or from the embankment on the other side of the river. It is especially beautiful in the evening.
Impressive, but expensive, there is nothing to look at from above, the Buddha's face is all stained, only beautiful from below. Plus, scaffolding is constantly spoiling the view somewhere. The niches and passages in the rock are very interesting!

The statue of Maitreya Buddha in Leshani is the tallest statue of a sitting Buddha on Earth - height 71 m. It is located on the banks of the Minjiang River, at the place where the Daduhe River and Qingjiang River flow into it. The exact date of the start of construction is unknown, probably 713. The Buddhist monk Haitong was worried that a lot of people were dying in the stormy waters and whirlpools of the Minjiang River and
proposed to build a giant statue of Buddha that would calm the river. The construction was carried out for about 90 years. Paradoxically, the huge masses of rock removed from the rock during the carving of the statue were evenly distributed along the bottom of the Minjiang River, filled the pits, and the whirlpools, indeed, became less.
The entrance to the park costs 90 yuan.
