A mass military burial. The monument was erected at the site of the mass execution of wounded Soviet soldiers by the SS on March 14-17, 1943.
Then about 1,000 wounded soldiers of the Red Army died. According to eyewitnesses, after seizing the military hospital, the SS threw grenades at 300 wounded and burned them along with the wooden building, while the rest of more than 500 people were shot and bayoneted in other buildings. A little later, all those shot were buried in three mass graves in a corner of the farmyard.
