There is a toilet, albeit a paid one, nearby. There are benches outside, and if it's cold, you can keep warm indoors. The interior is always quite clean, and in one of the compartments there is even a TV, which will help pass the time at least a little. There are many ticket offices. There are many shops near the train station, you can buy something for the road. There is a convenient scoreboard inside and outside the station, which is easy to navigate
I love Borisovsky railway station.
As a designer and as a person.
Both inside and outside.
From the outside, it is an elegant building with Baroque elements, arched windows and charming decor.
Inside, a modern interior with:
with plaster walls,
With portals made of porcelain stoneware in contrasting colors around the entrances,
with glass panels and battery panels,
window sills made of quartz artificial stone,
with a pleasant decor.
It's a miracle, but there might not have been any railway through Borisov if it hadn't been for the decision at the highest level of Alexander I to put a road from Moscow through this city.
And the second person who influenced this, Ivan Hrisanfovich Kolodeev, is a landowner, a founding member of the Russian Military Imperial Society, and a philanthropist. Thanks to his energy, he multiplied his father's possessions, became a large landowner, leased land to landlords and a manufacturer. I am sure that if it were not for him, Borisov would not have become the city that it is now.
In 1871, a railway passed through Kolodeev's possessions, connecting Moscow with Minsk, and later with Brest and Warsaw.
Sad: the names of the architect of the Borisov railway station building, nor the interior designer of the latest renovation are unknown.
