An interesting and delicious historical place. Every time I visit Budapest, I visit the market to buy Hungarian goodies (goose pate, spicy sausages, sweet paprika and chili, and much, much more). And then, on the second floor, you need to try hot homemade Magyar dishes and wash it all down with wonderful local wine. I do not just recommend, but insist on visiting!!!!
The market is very huge. There are a lot of raw and smoked meat products. Shops with souvenirs, etc. goods with national clothes. Fruits and vegetables can all be bought, the prices are reasonable.
A tourist place with prices higher than in stores, but the atmosphere itself, the opportunity to try and bargain, have a snack on the second tier delivers some "charm". It is a must to visit!
a great market, I really like it not only because of the architecture, but also because of the assortment and prices. Prices are lower than all other markets in Budapest. It's a paradox, but these are realities!
Souvenirs, local products and all sorts of hats, scarves, seasonal items. There are a lot of banal souvenirs, there is really little art (it is better to get to Vienna for creative souvenirs;)
The authenticity of Budapest, history, architecture! Some products that are not easy to find in the city, but prices are high, you can bargain but not everywhere, many merchants do not speak English, but some understand Russian) in general, it is necessary to visit, it may be worth buying pate and foie gras, but first study the prices, walk through the rows, talk closely, price tags differ at times) sausages, cheeses, pate, sauces, tinctures, there is something to choose.
A large selection of sausages and paprika options for the presented. On the second floor, we bought a men's sweatshirt "with Budapest om" as a gift at a much better price than on the shopping street. The main thing is not to grab it right away, but to go and get a price 😜
In general, Budapest is beautiful!!!
We didn't like it. For an amateur. We walked through the shopping malls solely out of curiosity. We didn't buy anything, the prices, in our opinion, are high. We went to the supermarket on the ground floor and calmed down.
And you can take a walk, admire the architecture, and eat, and buy delicious Hungarian souvenirs-all this is possible at the Central Market. For euros or for forints, and it is possible with cash, without cards;)
A very atmospheric and colorful place in the very center of beautiful Budapest! You can buy everything at the most affordable prices! And my favorite cheeses are presented in such abundance and variety that the eyes run away and the appetite is indecently played out!!! Mmmm.. Delicious! And a walk to the market (or from the market) along Vaci Street can be considered an additional excursion!
A beautiful and clean market
If you come early in the morning, you can buy cheaper (we bought strawberries that way, not on purpose, really)
Many people accept cards for payment
To the second floor (industrial goods ) I didn 't go )
The market is located in an old building. The prices are reasonable

The market is like a market. It's clean enough. Alcohol, meat, sausages, cheese, sweets and much more are sold. You can eat on the second floor. There is an Aldi store in the basement, as well as pickle sales departments. I was in February, there were practically no people. A year ago, it was crowded before Christmas. If someone needs to buy Unicum. Enter the main entrance (Fovam ter), go to the end of the central row and turn left. There is a retail outlet in the corner where Unicum costs 2 rubles cheaper than the market average. You can pay with a card. On the second floor they sell magnets, plates, some kind of embroidery, in general, goods for tourists.
One of the central places of Budapest, where not only numerous tourists and guests of the capital flock from everywhere, but also all kinds of small entrepreneurs and farmers who put up for sale the fruits of their labor here, located in the endless pavilions of this very remarkable building.
By the way, here you can stock up not only with food from nearby fields and farms, buy wonderful Hungarian wines, including the world-famous Tokay wine, pick up some unusual souvenirs for yourself and all your loved ones, but also have a very tasty breakfast/ lunch/afternoon tea... it is relatively inexpensive and varied, having run through the upper galleries of this giant shopping complex, where, basically, the edible establishments of Hungarian cuisine are "entrenched".
In general, hang out here and try local delicacies, as well as take a look at the Magyar oddities... It's a pleasure, I recommend it

I really love coming here, even just to stare at such beauty.
It is located in a huge old building in front of the Freedom Bridge over the Danube on the road to Gellert.
By the way, the bridge is also famous, one of the oldest in Budapest, named after (in the former) the legendary Franz Joseph.
The market is more or less civilized, as it is everywhere now.
You can buy famous Hungarian seasonings (in sets and separately), paprika, sausages, wine and much more.
You can have a lot of places to eat (which we did)
There are also kiosks for souvenirs and industrial goods, but they are a minority.
Large selection of products on the ground floor
Prices are lower than in supermarkets
Fruits,vegetables,fish,meat,pickles are on sale
Sausages, goose and duck liver
On the second floor you can taste Hungarian cuisine and buy souvenirs and handmade goods
The building is beautiful and historical. Inside, there is a food market on the ground floor, an industrial one on the second (a good selection of leather goods), but you have to choose, because there are local and Chinese production, and many catering cafes.
The market is located in the center of Budapest, focused mainly on tourists, you can buy souvenirs and Hungarian delicacies (sausages, pates, famous paprika, alcohol. But in chain stores, if there are promotions and discounts, you can do it cheaper. One of them is located on the 1st floor
It's cool! designed for tourists. but it is mandatory to visit, as it is necessary to try the local cuisine on the second floor.
among the sellers there are those who know Russian. this helps in the selection of sausages and meat.
The market is quite expensive - it is aimed at tourists, but it also works on weekends, although only until lunch. Of course, you can buy souvenirs here in any case cheaper than in the shops on Vaci Street! But the cool thing is that a supermarket has been operating under this market for longer than anywhere else in the city center (with the exception of Lidl)! There you can buy inexpensive factory ground sweet pepper for goulash! 😁
Two nights, we've been to the market twice already. Super, all products are fresh-both sausages and vegetables. The prices are good. There are a lot of souvenirs on the second floor. We recommend everyone to visit.
There is an interesting building outside, a market inside, just a market, but what did you expect?)) I didn't need to buy anything, I didn't look closely, but I noticed offhand that there was a good assortment of sausages. I don't know why the market is included in the list of the main tourist destinations. Oh, this is a consumer society...
Sight. A tourist destination for exploring national products and national cuisine. Closed on Sunday, open until lunch on Saturday. There is a supermarket in the basement.
