A pleasant hotel. We had a rest in November 2024.
I liked the hotel, great location - 1 line, there is a safe access to the sea. Delicious breakfasts. On-site swimming pool, sun loungers, pool bar. You can do water aerobics every morning in the pool. The territory is clean and well maintained. The hotel has an area for taxi bookings and excursions. We booked excursions at the hotel, the organization is always at the highest level.
Within walking distance of shops, exchangers, food zones, markets.
We have been living on the island for 5 years now, and I have never seen a better hotel.
Pros: Cool rooms.
Good staff, bar and massage right in the hotel.
A very large selection for breakfast
You can access the pool directly from the room
From the room to the sea 1 minute
Shower
Pool
Cons: not allowed with food
There is no washing machine
There are no good conditions to live for more than 2 months
Expensive
And a lot of people
But that doesn't stop them from being the best hotel on the island!!! We will come again and again!!!
Please read my REVIEW before booking this hotel!
My family and I stayed at the Beyond Kata Hotel in the first half of October 2024.
+ I'll start with the pros: the hotel is incredibly beautiful, clean, and aesthetic. It has direct access to the public beach (which is rare for Phuket), there are a lot of sun beds on site. From the look of it, you can say that this is a heavenly place.
They also have a free mini bar in the rooms: water, tea, coffee, coffee machine - use as much as you want, they replenish every day.
This is probably the end of the advantages.
- Now about the cons:
1. The pool water is uncomfortably warm, even hot. Of course, not all hotels have a cooling system, but keep in mind that the sea is warm and the pool is almost hot, so it's a little difficult to refresh yourself in the heat.
2. There is a sign on almost every chaise longue that you cannot bring your own food and drinks to them. An interesting rule, considering that on the beach 10 meters from the hotel, locals sell shakes for 50 baht, and in their Pool Bar the same shake costs 120 baht. However, we violated this rule and no one told us anything, maybe we were just lucky.
3. All the staff speaks very little English. This is strange, considering that, first of all, the hotel is not cheap. And secondly, 40% of their vacationers are Americans. I almost always had to connect gestures, because the staff just smiles and is silent when talking to them in English.
4. Avoid the hotel restaurant! There are no complaints about the buffet at breakfast. But one day we decided to have dinner at the same restaurant and I was poisoned by a dish with squid. The poisoning was very severe, I had to go to a local hospital.
5. If you suddenly get poisoned or something else happens, then know that the staff does not care about you. They didn't even help us call a taxi at night. They just repeated no, no and threw up their hands. I had to catch a taxi and get to the hospital on my own.
6. Room cleaning leaves much to be desired. For several days in a row, I left a note for the cleaner next to the tip so that she would throw out the trash can in the bathroom. The tip was taken away, the note was thrown away, and the trash was still in the trash.
Overall, the hotel is not bad, but the above disadvantages spoil the impression very much. Especially when a problem happens and you realize that the hotel doesn't care about you, about your problems, just pay the fine for the broken bottle, and everything else is not our area of responsibility. And they do not match such a price tag for their hotel. Maybe 2 stars is too little, but they didn't deserve three stars either, in my opinion.
