An incredible disappointment in the service of the hotel. Because of covid, instead of a buffet breakfast, the waiter put on the table a lot of plates with cheese and ham, bread, rolls, and so on. The first breakfast, on Saturday, when there were a lot of customers, the food was ordinary, even a little tasty. By Wednesday, when almost all the guests had left, and we stayed, the remnants of everything that remained were put on the table, including a broken cake, a croissant-cracker, small pieces of cheese resembling a puzzle of small honours and pieces of fruit that were not fresh; yogurt was piled into a huge deep plate and a spoon was stuck in. You had to ask for napkins every time, coffee too, you can't pour it from the vending machine yourself, because covid. 2 female employees, after asking for a second cup of coffee in the kitchen, which is located there, and we listened to the cheerful conversation of the staff, joyfully mimicked. At the reception, I asked for a kettle to have breakfast on my own, eat fresh and without comments. The kettle was not given out because of "covid measures". So we bought our own not far from the store, dishes, tablecloth and so on, and did not eat leftovers, but ate delicious Greek food. The refrigerator hardly cooled, the water in the shower switched from cold to hot in the morning constantly, calmed down in the evening). At the reception, the girl Sami is professional, thanks to her, the cleaning is not bad.
The location of the hotel is excellent: near the parliament, where activists or dancing youth gather in the evening, the metro is nearby, the tram to the beach (number 5) is close, a stall with a tourist transport card is almost at the tram stop. There is an information center on Syntagma Square next to the metro exit, where a variety of questions will be answered. There are several grocery stores between the hotel and the acropolis, near the beach there is a two-storey excellent supermarket where you can buy a lot of useful things, including shampoos, gels, soaps, because the hotel saves money. Museums, shopping, souvenirs, cafes including chain Starbucks and Goody's are nearby and open all day with a covered veranda. We booked the hotel when it was part of the magnificent Best Western chain, by the time we checked in, the hotel had separated, and so had the quality.
Clear. The breakfasts are tasteless and not fresh. The audibility in the rooms is just terrible. When cleaning the room, the charging cord from the phone was bent so that upon returning home, I bought a new one. The girl at the reception is Anastasia, arrogant, angry and unprofessional, unable to control her dislike of the guest. A huge plus is the location, which is why we chose this hotel. Historical sites within walking distance, restaurants around.
A great hotel in the heart of Athens. Literally 10 minutes from the Acropolis and other attractions. The breakfast is modest. There is a kettle and tea accessories in the room.
