Cool product, well done guys. You can see that there is a staff of its own developers, because updates arrive by email consistently with a periodicity of a month or two.
Positive:
- our company has a manager assigned to it. It reacts quickly.
- strong software. There are many things
Minuses:
- it's not always possible to reach the manager on weekends. I have to write to those.support, which makes communication longer
The experience of using Beltransutnik has been since 2011. There are 13 transport units in the system. No longer a user since February 2024.
Positive:
Definitely one of the most convenient and functional systems. But it doesn't matter, because you can use it only if you are lucky during installation and everything works right away and exactly until something happens.
Minuses:
I. A small minus. Incompetence of sellers. They sell equipment that is not suitable for solving the tasks set, or they mislead about its functionality.
Examples:
1. Task: monitoring the temperature in the body of the semi-trailer. The proposed solution: Bluetooth temperature sensor + replacement of the monitoring module on the tractor with a supporting external Bluetooth device. An assurance that such solutions have already been tested. Their technician, who arrived at the installation, immediately stated that he would install it, of course, but it would not work. And so it turned out. The equipment was first replaced with another one, and after the other failed, a wired sensor with a separate monitoring module was installed on the semi-trailer. The equipment was taken away. There are no financial losses, but there are temporary ones, because it was only the third time that we managed to achieve the desired result.
2. Replacing the monitoring module with a can connection with a module with a can connection and the ability to read the tachograph on Volvo. The seller assures that the new device does not need a can adapter. The result of the installation: there is no data, it turns out that you still need it. Recording for pre-installation again, wasting time again.
The second big disadvantage is that the operability of the installed equipment is not checked properly, which leads to the need to schedule repeat visits.
Examples:
1. Installation of fuel level sensors. Beltransutnik did not have gas stations until recently, although it has been selling gas stations since time immemorial. The sensor needs to be calibrated after installation, so you need to choose the moment for installation so that the car is filled with an empty tank. Due to the haste of the technician, the first calibration was performed by adding large portions, and as a result, the readings were with a catastrophic error. And for recalibration, you need to make an appointment, guessing the day and the empty tank.
2. Installation of a monitoring module with connection to a digital tachograph. No verification is performed after installation. Subsequently, it turns out that no reading is being performed. Recording and verification are needed again.
3. Installation of monitoring modules with connection to the can bus. Similarly, checking whether everything has worked out is done every other time. And the fact that the data is not being transmitted becomes clear already on the flight. Recording again, checking again, wasting time again.
In general, the installation was probably successful the first time back in 2011.
The third very big disadvantage is the incompetence of support specialists. The speed of response to any requests, whether it is the sale / installation of new devices and additional equipment or malfunctions– is months, and, one can safely say, years.
Examples:
1. When something stops working, support specialists regularly begin to convince you that you require something that you could never have with the installed equipment, instead of looking at what it was and what equipment it costs. They don't distinguish a tachograph reader from a smart card reader, so you need to ask leading questions to steer the conversation in the right direction and understand what they mean.
2. It takes weeks to get an invoice for the equipment. The DUT invoice was requested on 02/01/2024. Received on 02/07/2024 after several reminders.
3. Request to install a fuel level sensor on a car with an already installed monitoring system on 11/15/2023. The proposed deadline is 02.12.2023. I think those who have cars traveling internationally understand how difficult it is to plan a car to the day. If you missed the date, sign up again.
4. A letter to suspend the monitoring service for the decommissioned unit was sent on 16.01.2024. The service was actually suspended only on 25.01.2024 again after reminders.
5. A letter for the complete termination of the contract due to the lack of patience was sent on 02/15/2024 on 02/09/2024. AND THEN A MIRACLE HAPPENED! The services were indeed discontinued on 02/15/2024. BUT!!!
6. In the same letter dated 02/09/2024, they asked for a refund of the prepayment for the non-installed equipment. TODAY, THE YEAR 2025 IS ALREADY IN THE YARD, AND THERE IS STILL NO MONEY. BELTRANSUTNIK HAS SURPASSED HIMSELF.
Bottom line: you will lose all the money that you can potentially save on advanced vehicle control until everything is installed and configured. Having tried out a number of competing systems over the past year, I can say that they may not be as convenient and functional, but they are capable of solving any issues within a maximum of 1-3 days.
