We had lunch with the family, liked the interior of the place, very colorful, stylish. The staff is friendly. This is one of the advantages.
There are questions about the kitchen, the soup was very spicy, the beef (pictured) was generally a failure, the meat was smelly, also sharply seasoned. In general, nothing caused delight from what was ordered, the baked apple dessert is nothing, but I would like a softer apple, barely cut with a knife. The guests at the next table were also not happy with the dishes.
When we come to Grodno again, we will visit other places, there was no desire to return here.
We were here with the whole family. Among the advantages: attentive service, delicious and large dishes, relatively quick preparation of dishes from the main menu, there is a lunch menu on weekdays. Of the disadvantages, I can only mention the price, which is fully compensated by the quality. A little hint: pay attention to the weight of the dishes - it may turn out that it was not worth rushing and ordering the whole menu at once if you are hungry, and half a dish will be enough for a child.
They were chosen based on ratings and reviews.
And they were not mistaken. It would be possible and I would put 10 stars.
1. Atmospheric restaurant, very beautiful.
2. Service at a height.
3. All the dishes that we ordered, and we ordered a lot for two. They are all very tasty. I especially liked the dish Pear with chicken fillet. Feeding the fire.
4. My husband was delighted with the tinctures.
I advise everyone. Spare no money! It's worth it.
PS. For us, there is one minus, since we are from Russia, our cards were not read, you can't pay via phone either.
They left all the cash there.
A beautiful atmospheric place, located in the center. The food is delicious, the portions are large. One of the disadvantages is a very long wait for dishes (more than an hour), but at that time there were two banquets in the institution. Unfortunately, we were not warned, and we were very hungry. This made us very sad, we were sitting hungry and rumbling with our tummies. There was an undercooked dranik in the machanka. All the other dishes were very tasty.
Excellent restaurant of national cuisine in Grodno. An interesting interior. Funny figures are placed in the hall. The kitchen is excellent, the menu is great. The portions are large. Tinctures are not bad, but you can strive for perfection. I definitely recommend it for a visit.
We went down to the basement, and there it is... It's a wonderful place. Interesting interior, quiet and cozy. The staff is attentive and ordered a dish of local cuisine. It took a long time to cook, but it was worth it. The portions are large. Everything is delicious and beautiful.I really liked the sea buckthorn kvass. 👌
If you want to try the national Belarusian cuisine in Grodno, then you should definitely visit this institution. Cozy atmosphere, delicious food. I especially liked the beef pancakes with a delicious toasted crust, and the skibka with tender herring. The portions are large, the service is fast. Thanks to the restaurant staff. I recommend you to visit.
A pleasant place, the staff was pleased, they helped in choosing a cocktail, advised which ones were better, they ate very tasty and were satisfied. The interior is very beautiful, it can be viewed for a long time. I definitely advise you to visit!
A very nice and atmospheric place. Delicious sea buckthorn kvass of our own production. Meat dishes are excellent. A very polite and attentive waiter girl (unfortunately, I did not remember the name). The waiting time was acceptable.
For those who want to try Belarusian cuisine, come here!
Draniki, deruny, sorcerers, drachanka)
Snails "Litvinski-style", although not plucked from a farmer's vine, but! very tasty (like all dishes, with potatoes)!
Interior: windowless, basement - for an amateur!
The waiter came across an intern (not trained in anything at all), but he tried very hard to please and please us) so we forgive)
Information for restaurant representatives: already buy devices to charge the visitors' phone)
An atmospheric, delicious place! The service is excellent, the waiter told me everything about the dishes, connected Wi-Fi through her Belarusian number:) Excellent musical accompaniment with a live accordion (I hope I'm calling it right), the guy plays various melodies smartly. To try Belarusian cuisine (and not only) in Grodno - only in Belastok!
Polite and pleasant waiters. The dishes were brought quite quickly. That's all of the advantages!
The vegetable salad is of excellent quality, but I didn't feel any spices or sauce.
And the most terrible thing is the Draniki.... They brought a beautifully decorated dish with pancakes, from which oil flowed in streams : (Perhaps they fell on a novice cook, perhaps that's how they are prepared in this institution. But the overall impression was irretrievably spoiled.
In conclusion, I want to note that yes, I know that pancakes are fried in oil, that this is basically a fatty dish. But I also know the principles and procedures of working with products. And I know that no decent establishment can afford to serve a dish with butter dripping off. You, at least, can even cause a lot of digestive problems to a healthy person. Fu
It's a great place, we visited Grodno and at the end of the day we decided to have dinner here. The whole family liked the local cuisine very much, everything was cooked at the highest level, the waiter was very polite and attentive. The prices, however, are above average, but it's worth it. I recommend it!
There are many questions.
The waiter's service is good. I explained everything and advised.
The place is a bit gloomy due to the lack of windows and dim light (basement).
Kitchen... We wanted to order workbenches and tytskalo. As a result, there was no first position and I had to take a turkey. I really wanted some firewood from dessert, but there was also no firewood, so we took a baked apple.
The dough was excellent, but there were not enough potatoes, so I had to take more bread.
The turkey is a little dry, there were not enough vegetables for juiciness.
The baked apple was cooked for a very long time. Ordered immediately. They sat down to eat the main dishes and after 20 minutes they only brought dessert, which turned out to be "under-baked".
The interior is very beautiful, it looks like a castle, but that's it! We went to lunch with my husband after the road from Brest, we planned to go to the fortress after. But....We didn't have time. We made the most usual order - draniki and Drachanka (I really wanted to try this dish, and I had never seen it on the menu before). The waiter warned that it would be cooked for 40 minutes. We decided to wait. As a result, it was prepared for 1 hour and 20 minutes. They brought everything together....the potatoes inside were raw and already crunched. My husband's potatoes were also raw in the pancakes. The waiter tried to explain this by the peculiarity of Belarusian potatoes. It's funny, of course, especially considering that there were no people in the restaurant except us, and it's unclear what justified such a long cooking time. In addition, it was difficult to reach the waiters in the vastness of this castle, they were standing in a bunch at the bar and it seemed that they had forgotten about their work. As a result, of course, the administrator was called, these dishes were removed from the receipt, but we were late to the castle and remained hungry😔 I don't recommend this place to anyone.
The only place where we managed to order dishes from the main menu for lunch on a weekday. It was very tasty. I liked the setting: the stone vaults of an ancient building. And I note the excellent work of Nikolai, who told us about the composition and features of cooking, and also introduced us to the history of the building
The food is very tasty. Large portions. Dishes of mainly Belarusian national cuisine. The prices are not the smallest, but the quality of service and the taste of the dishes are worth the money.
I was very pleased that the dishes (first, second and morse) are of the ideal (in my opinion) temperature. The interior is not bad, but generally ordinary.
The restaurant of the old school: in the style of "please." But - with not just a beautiful, but "expensive" and at the same time - an interesting interior. The best service in Belarus, in which the catering sector, what to be ashamed of, is sagging in this parameter. The namesake waiter, despite his young age, acted as he should in any normal institution: he competently consulted on the menu, helped with the Internet, and updated the beer with lightning speed.
Initially, I liked the interior of the restaurant, it looks expensive and refined. The menu is for an amateur, there are few familiar dishes. In the salad with chicken liver, the liver was bitter and falling apart, the borscht was completely devoid of spices, the chicken jerks were raw from the inside, they did not finish, fortunately this dish was crossed off the bill. I liked the sea buckthorn kvass and a piece of bacon, which was served with bread to the borscht. Half an hour later, after leaving the restaurant, my stomach began to ache and nausea set in, most likely because of the raw potatoes. Perhaps the quality of the dishes was not the best due to the fact that we arrived 10 minutes after opening, but we obviously will not go there a second time
An incredible place, delicious homemade food, a must-visit for connoisseurs of Belarusian Cuisine!!!
We took with us more pancakes with chanterelles. The menu is very rich and varied.
A chic restaurant. Very tasty food, large portions. The staff is not verbose, but very polite. They bring everything quickly. Most of the dishes on the menu are national. Skibka is generally a "bomb". I advise everyone
The place is highly overrated) The food is not cheap and not the most delicious. The staff is friendly, the cafe itself is quite clean and cozy. Lunch cost 100 rubles for 2 adults and a child. And the mobile network does not catch in the basement)
Minuses:
1. Finding a dish in stock is a great luck. At least half of the menu is missing
2. Chanterelles and everything related to them. They took draniki, they are very bitter, the sauce is disgusting, it was simply impossible to eat. In response to a comment on the dish, they first said that they should be like that, and then they began to justify themselves with poor delivery
3. Payment. Some unclear problems with paying without a physical card (for some reason there were no such problems in all other establishments)
4. The administrator. He never came out.
Positive:
1. Interior
2. The waiter. We were served by Vladislav (if I remember the name correctly), who heroically withstood all the negativity from us and the neighboring tables, quickly and professionally discussed and generally well done. I add a star only for him
3. The drinks and some of the dishes were quite tasty
In general, I do not recommend going here. For such high prices, you will get a solid negative and an empty stomach (and digestive problems the next day). Only when we had 3 tables left
The establishment has pleasant waiters and cultural service. Good atmosphere and pleasant interior. The menu was brought quickly and the dishes were served fairly quickly. Hot main dishes are delicious and quite satisfying (but there is no super delight from the taste) really good for 4.5 Belarusian cuisine. Salads are delicious and juicy. But they ordered tea and cheese sauce, which were pumped up specifically (the sauce was just like molten cheese friendship with starch, and the tea is not at all saturated and empty, although it is indicated in the composition of a bunch of herbs).
In general, more was expected from the institution, the overall rating
is 4.5. P.S. the restrooms are clean and tidy.
A pleasant place, good location on a pedestrian street in the center. Belarusian cuisine, delicious pancakes, delicious beer.
Tables are mainly for two, for large companies there are only 4/5 tables
A great and beautiful restaurant. The staff is pleasant and leaves positive impressions. The cuisine is delicious and hearty, varied, with large portions. I advise you to visit.
If this is your first time in Grodno and you like to test establishments with Belarusian cuisine, then I would not recommend considering this place to visit.
We were served by a trainee guy who didn't have much questions, which is not true about the kitchen. The order included four portions of borscht and five portions of pancakes (three with chanterelles in cream sauce, one classic and one with brisket and mushrooms)
Let's go through each position:
The borscht was barely warm, there was little meat, the serving was not very good. A piece of bread that already had bacon on it, sour cream was already in the soup.
According to the draniki, in principle, the same claim. The feeling that they were raw inside, the creamy sauce is too thick and not so tasty. And in general, it seemed that all the dishes were simply heated in the microwave.
For such a price, something else was expected.
Of the advantages, I can highlight an interesting interior.
A wonderful atmospheric place, excellent cuisine, reasonable prices. Polite waiters. Delicious borscht and wonderful pancakes. And a sundae with a drunken cherry is just a fairy tale!
The combination of a business lunch and the main menu is the most correct :), and you can eat on a budget, and take something "refined" if your soul desires ;) (for a different price tag, of course). The pancakes are "right", although this is a taste, of course.
The order of serving dishes is competent, quite quickly.
The place is atmospheric and cozy. I recommend it!
A rich menu, in which I will note pancakes with machanka, served in the form of a puff pastry (see photo), as well as ice cream with drunk cherries — delight, pure delight!
Good location at the beginning of a pedestrian street. There are several halls with tables for both couples and large companies. Quick and delicate service.
Positive:
Beautiful presentation
Interesting menu
Clean, good room design
Minuses:
There is only one set of instruments for two
. Long wait (there was a maximum landing)
Poor lighting
Not all dishes are available
Irritated staff of the hall (uncomfortable)
The taste of the dishes did not cause a wow effect
I really like the cuisine in the restaurant! And how wonderful the pastries are here! Cottage cheese balls-cakes in a convenient box and firewood! It's so nice to visit a friend for tea or coffee with such a treat! I recommend it!!!
It is not at all clear who those people are who highly appreciate this institution. From the very threshold, the institution causes distrust, both the location in the dungeon and the interior. It's not comfortable, I would even say disgusting. But the worst thing is the food. I've never eaten such vile pancakes, I can't even imagine how they can be so spoiled, bitter, tasteless with a strange aftertaste, either some incomprehensible spices, or old oil, or overcooked carrots. The waiters cannot properly explain the composition of the dishes. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Moreover, for such a quality of dishes, the price tag is as high as possible. Awful. Do not visit this institution, do not spoil your vacation. In Grodno, there are fashionable delicious establishments of a different level for the same price!! And yes, we also poisoned ourselves with food from this "canteen"!
Positive: 1) almost instant serving of dishes (yes, it was Tuesday, but still very fast. 2) tasty enough, not wow-wow, but ok; 3) courteous waiter during service.
Minuses:1) the waiter is courteous only while you are at the table. There is no greeting and farewell to the guest from the word at all. For the first time I see it as if "you're sitting - my guest, you got up - you don't exist." 2)Friends / girlfriends of the bartender or waiter at the bar were very loudly discussing their adventures, including with obscenities, which also undermined the impression of dinner a little. 3) we ordered tea, waited 10 minutes for it to brew, as a result - warm water. We ordered another tea and, half jokingly, so as not to spoil the mood, I mentioned the experience with the first tea. - zero reaction either on the spot or in the score. It is clear that tea is not the right money and you can easily pay for both. But the fact itself)
The interior of the place is interesting.
The menu is varied and themed,
They ate cheeks, it was delicious.
BUT...
the portions are small.
At the same time, the cost of the dish is quite high.
Go 1 time for interest.
The staff is friendly.
Very tasty and unrealistically large portions, after seeing our dishes, we regretted that we did not order one serving for two)) I ordered pancakes with meat knuckle, crispy pancakes go well with meat. Of the minuses, they put us at a table right in the corner, that is, you sit down and look at the wall for the whole dinner))) after we were transferred to another vacant table, it became more comfortable to sit)
Bad Belarusian pancakes!
I rarely write reviews, but here it is necessary.
I didn't like it:
1. The establishment is in the basement. You can see it in the photo. But I think if 5 stars means the climate problem has been solved. But no. It was hot and stuffy
2. We waited 5 minutes for the table to be cleaned. A sign of a good place, aren't there any places? No, it's just that 2 waiters can't handle the service. There were a lot of empty tables near the wall for two (there were three of us). After we sat down, the table next to us was cleaned for another half hour. Well, we waited a long time for the order to be accepted. Also, while we were waiting, a woman came up to the bar and asked when our order would be accepted? (The bell I missed)
3. Okay, this would all be tolerable if it weren't for the food.
- there was borscht. Ate warm. It tastes like 3 out of 5. Again, it is tolerable. But!
- they ordered draniki. In a five-star restaurant of national cuisine. 3 servings, 2 classic ones with sour cream. 1 serving with chanterelles. And they were terrible. Truth. We have 4 cities on a trip to BR and in each we ate pancakes and not once. There is no need to compare them here, as they were just spoiled. The inside is damp, the outside is burnt in places. I am attaching a photo.
What did you like:
1. Well, probably the interior
2. Location on the main street
Result. Maybe we were just unlucky. It was a bad day, the moon was in the wrong phase, the dog barked at the cook, and so on. But the conclusion is this - a classic "tourist eatery". I went in once and never came back - that's how they live.
We went to dinner by chance, having arrived from St. Petersburg. It's a very colorful place. We wanted to taste the national cuisine of Belarus and we succeeded. The service is on the level. Very tasty. Thank you very much.
We traveled around Belarus, stayed in Grodno for 2 nights and decided to have dinner at this institution. On Friday evening (the next day was city day!!!!) there were already some dishes and drinks (which actually attracted us to this place), an excellent interior and an absolutely terrible selection of the playlist!!!! It was possible not to strain yourself but to give the opportunity to the musician with the accordion, by the way, he was impeccable!!!! There were four of us and one person was very ill when we returned home after visiting Bialystok
A cozy place. It's delicious, which is the main thing for me. Draniki are for those who like them toasted. Not all dishes are cooked quickly, you need to clarify. And when ordering, it is better to immediately specify the sequence of serving dishes.
Every time I visit Grodno and time permits, I have dinner here. I like everything. The cuisine is excellent, I've heard some names of dishes for the first time in my life). The service is on the level. A cozy, peaceful place.
Arriving in Grodno, we decided to visit this institution, which was chosen according to the rating, and as a result we were somewhat disappointed with the cuisine, the staff was not very friendly, we were not satisfied with the food, we did not like the pancakes, the restaurant is written on the sign, but in fact it is a small cafe and it is located in the basement, and from this a heavy oppressive atmosphere. At the bar, the girl is not at all agile, we were served soups faster than they brought tinctures, in general, the institution is for three
Good staff, nice interior. A very tasty pike perch cutlet, pancakes are debatable, duck salad is acceptable. There is definitely no second time, it is possible for one time (as everything seems to be).
The establishment looks quite respectable, the waiters are extremely polite and efficient, always ready to help, however, the kitchen, apparently deciding that tourists on the central street of the city, on a day off, will devour anything, does not bother at all and serves half-cooked half-fried pancakes with some inedible sausages, calling them "kupaty". The borscht is quite decent, but 2-3 pieces of black bread could be served on a plate, not one... With a price tag of about 50 Belarusian rubles for dinner, it costs better to cook...
We were the next day after visiting the Tavern across the street. It turns out that this is one network. The restaurant has several halls. The two are very cramped. The two of us were seated at a table for two, although we asked to be seated at a larger table, for 4, since people were already sitting in the hall and it was crowded. they refused us, although then they put two girls in jail for that little bit for 4.
We came a little after 12 and immediately checked the possibility of paying with MIR cards (not Sberbank or VTB), since we had a problem with payment at the Tavern the day before. It turned out to be the same problem here. Payment can only be made from Sberbank and VTB banks, and it looks like MirPay does not work. The restaurant staff is well aware of this, but they do not warn in advance and do nothing to resolve the issue. It should be noted that during the 6 days of our stay in Belarus, we had problems with payment only in the Tavern and in Bialystok.
At lunchtime, the restaurant must be said to be packed with guests ordering a business lunch. The cost of a business lunch in the most expensive configuration is 12-15 rubles or 350-400 Russian rubles.
Taking into account the cost of the second course on the menu of 35 Brubles, a business lunch can be considered free.) This increases the waiting time for those who ordered from the menu. We waited 40 minutes for the second one to be brought to us and, being hungry, ate all the snacks.
On the plus side, the trainee waiter Boris was very courteous and pleasant.
Of the cons. in addition to the tightness, the speed of serving is the quality of the dishes. The herring (the same one that is served with the Karma, only the jar is not so beautiful) is disgusting. Pickled. falling apart, with sourness.
I ordered pancakes with a machanka. This dish was absolutely tasteless and odorless. They forgot to put the promised "cupat circles on top", which I found out later when the waiter told me "so you just ate them." Machanka sauce was just lumps, thick and tasteless and in tiny amounts. I looked at the photos of the draniki on the photos of other guests - so they put the coupons on top, then not. The sauce also happens between the pancakes, and not just on top, as they brought it to me. But there is always a different amount of it.
The pancakes were not fried. and some are boiled. my salt shaker accidentally fell apart and I heartily poured salt on the pancakes. And it should be noted that they have acquired at least some taste. It was the worst dish in Belarus in the 6 days we were there.
My wife took fish cutlets (pike, I think). So they were too salty.
In general, we did not eat any delicious dishes, but paid above average.
I liked the food in general. Maintenance and service... Well, from the first moment I wanted to turn around and leave. But we decided not to spoil the evening. When the hostesses said that they would like to sit on the terrace, because they saw that they had calculated a table there, they received a boorish "well, get free - move over! I haven't been released yet!" The beer was waited for 25 minutes... when the waitress asked if it had already been cooked, the answer was "the bartender fulfills the orders that were before you, when it's your turn, they will bring it to you." For the first time in my life, I waited for beer for so long. The food was brought to my companion first... I sat and admired how she ate.
The quality of the food... Well, we ate better. In general, it is delicious. The service is disgusting. Be prepared for this.
A good restaurant of national cuisine) Delicious food: I really liked the pancakes with chanterelles in cream sauce, lard with sauerkraut. The interior is atmospheric, with several halls.
We read good reviews, impressed with the high rating, booked a table and went to this restaurant. I didn't like it so much that after that we decided to take a break from Belarusian cuisine. The food is too heavy, everything is too salty. A dish with a machanka and two thick pancakes (I don't remember exactly what it's called, but the waitress mentioned machanka in its composition) is impossible to eat - they barely learned it. We also ordered lard - and it is also too salty. Tasteless and also expensive - I do not recommend it.
