The Bedesten Indoor Market is a monument and the historical center of the huge oriental bazaar of Turkish Marmaris. Its forty stores can offer a wide range of goods from souvenirs to jewelry and carpets. In particular, you can buy porcelain, leather, gold, and inexpensive factory clothes here. A hike through the market will be interesting even if no purchases are planned, but just to admire this landmark of Marmaris, but it is almost impossible to leave here without buying anything, because of the local abundance. Although the prices here are slightly higher than the national average, they are lower than those in Istanbul, and most importantly, in Bedesten you can bargain and really reduce the price of the product. Bargaining for local sellers is a real ritual, carrying a lot of emotions for both sellers and buyers. It's more of an exciting game than a trading process. In between visits to the shops, you can relax in the famous Ottoman coffee shop located in the coolness of the garden. Natural aromatic Turkish coffee, tonic tea and relaxing hookah are available to visitors here. And of course, when visiting Bedesten, you definitely need to buy healing pine or coniferous honey - the main commodity of Marmaris. According to the assurances of local residents, this is one of the most useful substances that was invented by nature. The Bedesten market is open from 10.00 to 18.00, daily. To get to the Bedesten market in Marmaris, you can take a bus or taxi. In addition, dolmushi minibuses run during the daytime and in the evening (from 6.00 to 24.00). Outside the dolmush stop or the bus can be stopped by raising your hand.
