A cozy cafe with self-service, the staff is friendly, the food is delicious. According to the price tag, everything is very democratic. It was the first place we visited in Belarus, unfortunately, I probably got into a week where there was no borscht and draniki on the menu -(But there are tinctures of local production (Vitebsk), quite tasty (pomegranate did not go in, but cherries are what you need) and they pour 100 at once, not 40, like almost everywhere else -)

There is a smell of a dining room at the entrance, there are not very many people, but there are cupcake dishes and glasses on the tables, that is, it is set for the best visitors. There is a mountain of trays with dirty dishes in front of the bread trays, because there is no place left on the gurney for dirty dishes, no one has cleaned it for a long time.To get bread, you need to stretch your hand over dirty dishes. Of all the food, I liked only the soup and compote. Although the composition of the compote is not specified, it remains a mystery what kind of jam is there. But it tastes good. Pasta in the navy, the most expensive dish in the receipt. At first I thought it was porridge, they are so boiled. They are also cold, cooled down. Potato pancake, if you do not understand, is quite normal, but for the taste of a cook with experience, starch is clearly added there. At home, egg and flour are added for these purposes, there is probably a saving here. There are fans of such expensive dining rooms, but it's not us.

Nice place, close to the center by car. There is no parking directly nearby, from the street side, it is in the courtyard of the house where this cafe is. The food is normal, there are no meat-free pancakes, there are only two soups - and this is not borscht noodles, and at 5 p.m. they are no longer there. I compare it with the impression of 2 years ago, it seems to me it was tastier and the price / quality ratio was better. The salad with crab sticks is tasteless and weathered, the pasta is boiled.. to be honest, I was even upset, but the sausages and potatoes with dill are delicious.

I often go to lunch at the Batkov Hut on Zhestkov Street. In general, a normal institution with a tolerable level of food, cozy, fairly clean room and pleasant staff. But! There is one caveat. Today for dinner, under the guise of "Albanian meat", I was sold fried flour with onions and three pieces of bacon. At a price of 5.50 rubles. When I turned to the girl, she told me that there was something pink there (in the "MEAT" in Albanian), and there was no one to accept the pretensions, because the cooks had left. Instead of replacing the dish or returning the money, I got an understanding. Thanks for that, too. I would like to turn to the chefs of this shift: young ladies, I also understand you perfectly, but it would not be bad to control yourself a little. Either put the meat in the "MEAT..." or change the name of the dish. And, please, the management, so that visitors still have the opportunity to solve such issues not just by receiving sympathy.
